Hotels near Coppel Fabrica Park, Cuautlancingo

Firstly, we were surprised to see, by hotel signage, that it was a Marriott property or we would have communicated with Marriott directly as we are members. Upon arrival I was pressured by front desk staff to submit a deposit ”just in case we made charges”, we knew we would not have any charges yet after the pressure I complied (I did speak to the Manager who cancelled the charge on our last day). We had a double queen bed room, the beds were comfortable, the A/C was the noisiest I've ever heard, louder than the TV unless the volume was raised a lot, it was also difficult to set the desired temperature and if you turned it off (it was always cold! no matter how much we fiddled with it) the room was super stuffy since there are no windows that open. The bathroom was ok yet had no ventilation and the extractor was not working plus the towels were some of the roughest I've ever experienced. Some of the lights in the room were not operating. All the above we did not complain above, they are just what was in the room during our stay. The one thing we did complain about was the TV system in place, we travel a lot and bring our media equipment for nights spent in, like Fire TB, etc. We also have several online media services which we maintain and use all over the world, like VPN, HBO, Amazon Prime, Netlix, YouTube, etc. While the TV in room can allow you to view Netlix and YouTube, you will not be able to access any other service nor use any of your own media devices. I know several families that bring along video consoles for their children to keep them entertained for example, but the system in this hotel is blocked to any devices from your cell phone or any external device and while we don't have children, having to watch Mexican on air programs (and we are 100% fluent) is not my idea of entertainment. HBO shown on their system does not correspond to any of the descriptions shown on the guide. When I brought this issue up to Management they just said ”Oh, yes we do block all content”. It's a small detail but when most people own more than a few devices, it's very close minded of them. At least they don't charge additionally for Internet which Marriott is known to do.... The restaurant on the main floor was another disappointment as the food was completely without flavor and /or salt, for a Puebla offering is not good at all. We paid for the breakfast buffet at $250 per person. They had someone on the grill making eggs (worst Huevos Rancheros ever!), quesadillas, chalupas, etc. The ”guisados” a beef and potatoes one and a chicken one are best skipped. The beans just ok, the coffee was dark water and while they have an espresso machine it was not in operation. So had juice and some mini pastries which were good. We were never tempted to order room service as offerings in town are much better and many are cheaper as well. I am a big fan of InterContinental hotels and have stayed at least once at all of the other ones in Mexico and almost all of them in Central America as well. I was in Puebla for a weekend visit and wanted to try this one out as well. I am sad to say that this hotel seems to be completely overlooked by InterContinental's quality control people because it is a dump--at least the rooms, that is. The rooms have old, worn, and stained carpeting, and the bathroom was a nightmare. Gross, cracked sink with faucets from who knows when, bathtub with a curtain and similarly old, yucky-looking faucets. The bathroom door was all banged up, marked up and basically ruined. Paint chipped all over the place in the room. Ancient air conditioner (although it worked, thankfully!) No place to store towels so they just set them all on the sink. The only good thing about the room was that the bed was the typical InterContinental bed which was very comfortable, clean, and lovely. The hotel employees are very nice and courteous and the public areas of the hotel (except for the old elevators and long, yucky-looking hallways that need repainting) are decent. The hotel's social media focuses basically just on places that actually look decent and some of the rooms that maybe were renovated? But you will likely end up in a room straight out of the 1980's (or longer ago) and not in a good way. This hotel urgently needs remodeling or to be changed from an InterContinental to a Holiday Inn or something. Even though the prices are good--there's a reason why. Don't stay here expecting a ”normal” InterContinental hotel experience. Sorry, to say it but hopefully the hotel will get the care it needs.

The hotel is about 15 minutes to Puebla's catedral. About 10 to Cholula. About 20 to the airport. I choose the hotel due to the great reviews and the location. The front desk staff were very helpful. The bellman brought my luggage to the room right away. The room was clean, the beads comfortable, like any 5 star hotel room. The breakfast was the best continental I have ever had. I have stayed at many hotels, Hyatt, Hilton, etc,. This one has the best breakfast. The hotel front desk/lobby is located on the 2nd floor. The entrance is on the rear part of the mall. If you forgot something you can buy it downstairs inside the mall.

We stayed at this Holiday Inn Express for 4 nights during a recent trip to Puebla. The hotel is clean, modern, and very affordable (with average nightly rate below 60USD when booking directly on IHG). The location is a bit outside from most touristic attractions in the historical center, but it seems to be in a safe an convenient neighborhood where walking and uber-ing are both easy. The room seems to be renovated in recent yeas and is well-appointed. We opted out for housekeeping during the whole stay, but when we called for extra toiletries they were delivered to the room pretty quickly. The breakfast was decent and was served by staff members instead of in a buffet style due to Covid. Also, everyone working in the hotel took Covid precautions seriously - all masked up and there are clear signs for social distancing and sanitizing gels everywhere. There is a workout room at the second floor, also a lap pool on the ground floor. With the amenities provided, I recommend this hotel should you have the chance to visit Puebla Mexico.

The hotel is very good, at a good price, the detail sometimes is the communication of the details that occur, I asked for a room with 2 beds and they did not give me one, they gave a sofa bed that was not comfortable... In general the hotel is good

Everything was perfect, but I was always asking them to put extra bottles of water in the room (( they didn’t)) and once I called reception to ask for water he say (( we are running out of drinking water, you have to buy in the shop near 24/7)) what is wrong with you guys??? No water??? Are you serious??

We had been driving since Tepic until 2:30 a.m. and could not find a hotel on our route until we got to the Holiday Inn, Puebla. Exhausted, we were grateful to arrive and be able to park our loaded car out front. (It wouldn't fit in the parking garage with the roof rack loaded.) The front desk staff was so accommodating and professional. Check out was 1:00 p.m., so we had ample time to rest before continuing our travels. The room was clean and comfortable, with a nice, big, hot shower. We are IHG members and received excellent service.

Perfect for the price. Like an Ibis actually. Small rooms like in Tokyo and very clean. Nice view to Angelopolis Mall. Breakfast included. Only issue is the noise . Not soundproof at all. Shower had a good pressure. Hot water good. Air conditioning directly into your direction. Big issue: only CNN (eeewww) but you aren’t here to watch tb anyway.Glad it was empty this weekend as you can’t sleep when you get other guests next to your room. It’s obviously not the Hilton but fulfills its purpose. Walmart Express next door.

PROS Premises are pristine, from the parking lot to the front desk and all the way to the rooms and bathrooms -no smells, no mold, no stains; and that is refreshing and reassuring… hope this hotel will remain being taken good care of. The look is modern, stylish, fresh, and practical, which all in all adds for a very wheelchair friendly experience. The wheelchair accessible room is comfortable and easy to book, and although the bathroom could do with a couple more security grab bars near the toilet, it is spacious and comes with a sufficient shower chair. The staff is friendly, assistive, and attentive. CONS The location is not what you would call touristy, it is located within the governmental district, which means not within walking distance of any attraction, sightseeing, or shopping. Because of the location you’ll need to get in or out by car, call it taxi, Uber or your own. Also because of the location, so packed with government offices, the area feels deserted after 6PM and on weekends. Not sure how that plays on security. Regarding the handicapped room, it is only a 1-queen size-bed room, somehow an inconvenient considering handicapped guest rarely travel alone. A 2-bed room option would be highly desirable. Finally, not sure if for safety or aesthetics or any other functional end, but there is a huge spotlight-like light illuminating the building’s façade that becomes greatly annoying when at the handicapped room -which is located on level 1. Yes, the shades do block such light, but if they open even slightly, the amount of light pouring in is huge!!!
