Stayed here for business for a couple of nights as part of a large group. It was not a great hotel and a lot of our group were unhappy with this property. It's a medium rise on the waterfront - the waterfront here is a working container port and what seems to be anItalian Navy port. Not what you generally think of when you say waterfront. The hotel checking was fine and the staff were nice. However...... Major renovations going on / one elevator working out of 2 and sometimes that one was an issue / really lacklustre breakfast options / swimming pool unusable. I can see why they're renovating - everything about this hotel seems old and dated - but you're not in a resort / holiday area. The room was an ok size, the wi-fi worked, but a bit slow. The room could be made nice and dark (good curtains) and the view of the bay was still a nice water view. There's many other old looking hotels all around this area and I don't thin this is the only one in this state of repair. There is a great Pizza place right across the road. The Old Town of Taranto is a 20min walk away and it's well worth is with great photo ops and plenty of bars / restaurants that seems to all be reasonably priced. Maybe this hotel will be OK when they finish renovations, but it's not in a very touristy area.

Our family stayed in one of the two bedroom Trulli suites, complete with a kitchen and dining area, bathroom, and a cute little patio. The accommodations were very clean and well stocked. There is a great complimentary breakfast served at the wine bar around the corner. The accommodations are perfectly situated in the historic area. All of the staff at Trulli e Puglia were wonderful and very helpful! We felt very well taken care of during our stay. We really enjoyed having the wine bar around the corner, as it was great for breakfast, and also for cocktails/wine and snacks. Mimmo and the staff at the wine bar are awesome! We definitely recommend Trulli e Puglia!

The hotel is very small and very pleasant. Finished in details and quite comfortable. Distributed into two facilities at the end of the small square that marks the entrance to old Taranto. The hotel has a small but unfit rooms, air conditioning, comfortable beds and a functional bathroom. Breakfast is served on a terrace with a wonderful sea view. The historic center of Taranto and shopping streets are reached in about 15 minutes. Parking is possible on the side of the underground square and in a neighbouring area.

I'm almost Tarantino, I've been here at least twice a year from 1998 to today, I realize that standards have fallen from the 1990s, but here it is overdrived. The rooms are aestheticly bad, old and uncomfortable. You don't feel a little cocktailed by entering one of them, among other things they define ”superor” rooms with a refrigerator (watch) and a ”unique” matrimonial mattress. The breakfast is sad and hospitalized, especially because it is made of discount stones and a NUMERO coffee. It's a box, the minimum flexibility of everything, the keys must always be left at reception, don't raise your voice, if someone comes to you, they must leave the document and cannot stay too much in the room (this already before Covid). It is sorry for the staff, who do his duty and sometimes is also kind, but they also seem to be undergoing a bad management and move like robots, fearing to be wrong and to bear account of any small decision. The guilt of who is but not who manages it, among other things, when I found a more prominent employee than others, the same disappeared in a few months, but they pay them at least?
