What a gem of a place, not easy to find but once you do it’s great with the perfect host
Only one issue was the bath not holding the water which is an easy fix other than that I’d recommend the place without hesitation

We were very warmly welcomed by our lovely hostess, Chantelle. We booked a superior room which was in the annexe in the beautiful grounds. The room was very tastefully decorated and everywhere was immaculate. The pool area was lovely and Demeure de L’ile was a perfect hideaway in the middle of Craon. Chantelle served a lovely breakfast of fruits, yoghurts and pastries in the beautiful dining room just below our accommodation. Eggs cooked to your liking were also offered alongside fresh orange juice and coffee. A delightful visit with a charming hostess and we would highly recommend Merci Beaucoup

I have stayed in hotels and B and Bs all over the world and this exquisite place stands out and is not to be forgotten. It is part of the original complex of a large 19th C town villa, very sensitively converted. The friend and I who were travelling together had dinner which not only was an interesting and enjoyable occasion (we were at the table with four very friendly French people - we are Irish) but the food was absolutely outstanding. The accommodation is very high spec., and there is an extremely high standard of cleanliness throuout. We thoroughly enjoyed our night and will certainly return - it is a beautifully run place of very high standards. There is a very fine pool open to residents

Endroit d’un charme fou Passé le porche au fond d’un parc dépendance avec une chambre tout confort (en plus nous avons été surclassé merci) Un côté bucolique on est transporté à la belle époque avec le confort actuel (sauf climatisation il faisait chaud pour bien dormir) Petit déjeuner complet

Un endroit merveilleux, très reposant dans une région sympathique. Les repas sont délicieux et la femme d'hôtes est une personne formidable et très accueillante. J'ai quitté cet endroit avec un petit pincement au cœur après 3 semaines incroyable. Je recommande fortement cet endroit
