We were needing to stop for the evening so I called the Hampton Inn to see if they had availability. Damien, the gentleman on the phone was so friendly and accommodating and made us feel so welcome. When we arrived shortly after and he checked us in, his same welcoming personality and positive comments about their hotel made us feel special. The beds were comfortable, the complimentary breakfast was above the normal standards of hotel breakfast buffets. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. Loading our car in the drizzling rain, we accidentally overlooked my husbands toiletries bag. When I called, they again, were so friendly and helpful acknowledging they had it. Damien once again assured me he would personally make sure he would get it returned to us. We travel quite a bit and the staff here are the best at making guests feel appreciated and welcome. They seem committed to their jobs and this hotel.

I been a loyal bonvoy member for a long time now. I was a Ambassador Elite member but stop traveling because of Covid. So now I’m a Titanium Elite status with 145 days stay with bonvoy this year alone. I’m not writing this review over 1 rotten apple. This Residence inn is something else. Front desk manager Is a ****** and a bully. He had something against me for what ever reason. I never stay at a hotel that is so rude and unprofessional. First off he didn’t like me and went out his way to make things really uncomfortable for me on my last day checking out. Not sure what his problem is but they should fire him. Came to my room around 1 pm with the house keeping lady and say he is there to do the wellness check. I asked him usually that is communicated with me somehow ahead of time. But his excuse is hotel policy if a tenant doesn’t get house keeping that they have to do a wellness check weekly. First off that is the 9th day and the day I’m checking out too. Like hotel policy? Hey buddy your 2 days late. A policy is a policy. It is set in stone. You cannot come 2 days late of your weekly wellness check Dan. He make this establishment look like a joke to be honest. I’m literally is checking out within a few hours but he want to make sure to make it uncomfortable for me and my guest. I opened the door for the two workers to come in, a wellness check means to make sure both guess is ok and alive right? We had the one bedroom suite. So my friend came out the room and now all four of us is in the living room part. So that should be it right? Both of the guest is here and in good health right? But no he took it upon himself to walk into the room and into the bathroom. For what? Thought it was a wellness check? But it wasn’t that. That was his excuse he used to come and make sure that me and my guest feel uncomfortable. And once they left I pretty much filed a complaint thru bonvoy and is in the process of filing a lawsuit. They over charged me almost $800. Yes it is a authorization hold/pending. But that just hold up my funds for no reason at all. I’m paid in full the day i checked out. But here I’m still suffering from what that establishment did to me. I know they know they just picking on me. Especially Dan he is just a ****** bully. I’m sure he knows exactly what he is doing. And I just pray that no one else has to suffer like me. I’m not going let 1 individual that is miserable ruin the relationship I do have with bonvoy. I just recommend not to go there if that bully works there. I have everything to prove my story and my review here.

I was very disappointed with the StayBridge Cranbury South Brunswick. We have stayed at various Staybridge hotels because the hotels are nice and the service is usually really good. The Staybridge at South Brunswick Cranbury needs a new staff overhaul. I made my reservation months in advance. I needed to change from 2 days to 1 day. I called the hotel well before the set deadline to change/cancel my reservation and the front desk attendant told me that I couldn’t do it because they were negative 2 rooms. I told her I had no idea what that meant but I am calling before the deadline and nothing in the fine print said I had to stay a minimum number of days. She refused to help. I replied to her and said so you would rather me cancel my entire reservation and go to another hotel than accommodate my request. Her reply was “if thats what you have to do”. I hung up and called the reservation number and they made the change for me with no problem. We checked into our room and I was pleasantly surprised at the look of the room. We were not happy with the hallway smelling like ****. I didn’t have time to get settled right away because we had to get to our son’s basketball games. When we arrived at the hotel later that night after the games, we noticed that the room was cold because all 3 of the windows were open. I shut them but couldn’t lock them. One of the TVs in the bedroom did not work along with the lamp and the phone did not work. The outlets in the King bed room didn’t work and my husband could not use his sleep apnea machine as a result. And you guessed it, the hallway continued to smell like **** since the guests needed to smoke throughout the day. I went downstairs to the front desk since I couldn’t call, to tell the front desk attendant. She told me that I could come downstairs to watch TV but who wants to do that all night. The TV in my son’s room was working and the living room was working but the main bedroom didn’t have a working tv. The front desk attendant told me she would write the information in the book and have the manager call me. I told the front desk attendant I was canceling my reservation for March and her response was yes, you should do that. The next morning we went down for breakfast. They had not replinished the food or condiments. The attendant was on her phone on a personal call. Guests were trying to get her attention and she acted as if she was bothered. At one point I had to go to the employee section to get her because she was not paying attention to what was needed and she was back there on her phone texting and talking on her phone. Myself as well as other team members families canceled our rooms for March. We all had issues with our rooms at this hotel.
