Ecrin Blanc Resort Courchevel

Ecrin Blanc is wonderful for families with young children who enjoy water activities after a full day of skiing! The breakfast is very good and the fresh orange juice is the best I have had in a long time. Direct indoor access to Aquamotion is what makes this property so amazing. Highly recommended. 👍👍👍

We have just returned from a week at Ecrin Blanc and have had an amazing time. We found the half board package to be really good value. The food both for breakfast and in the evenings was really delicious. All the staff we met were very friendly and approachable. The hotel was kept spotlessly clean and also always smelt really good! Access to aquamotion made my daughter’s holiday - she preferred the slides and outdoor pool to skiing. She also loved the little basket of easter eggs the hotel left in our room for Easter - it was a lovely touch. We would definitely stay at this hotel again for a winter or summer break.

My trainer left my jacket with my hat in reception and never found them, very unprofessional to untrustworthy the people they work in hotel and even my trainer tried and he send an email with pic of the item but never found.

Our first visit to Courchevel stayed 3 nights at the Ecrin Blanc Resort which sits on quite big grounds, has a spacious lobby / reception and a nice decent breakfast area. Before going into my detailed review, I would like to give a big compliment to the ladies at the hotel concierge especially "LANA" who was amazing in explaining everything, helping us, sorting out our reservations and just being so helpful and kind throughout our stay. - Location: The hotel is located in the middle between 1550 and 1650 - a 10 minute walk either way - and sits right opposite the town's aquamotion centre (swimming pool/spa etc). There is a bus stop right outside the hotel, which was very easy to commute to 1850 - takes about 15 minutes and passes through 1650. It is also possible to walk to 1650 (10 min walk) and take the Telecabin (called Grangettes) that takes you all the way up to 1850 - to go up you need the paid for pass but coming down is free. There is a ski shop rental on the same grounds as the hotel which makes it very convenient to get your skis and full equipment. You can also buy the ski pass from the conceirge (with a 5% added charge). For skiing, you can go direct on a chair lift right outside the hotel but it is more for advanced skiiers...so we never took it. As its hard to walk with Ski equipment we took the bus to 1850 and then skiied from there. Overall i would say the location is ok given the above options, however, to really feel you are in a ski in/ski out resort it would be much better to be somewhere near the Grangettes in 1650 or in 1850 itself. Other feedback: -The hotel was very clean, room was nice and cozy. - We took the room with a balcony but to be honest the views were not good at all and we barely had the feel that we are in a mountain/ski area as the beds faced the opposite direction and not the direction of the views. -Concierge was great - ability to buy passes and rent skis on grounds was very good -Breakfast was basic but good. -Acquamotion free access may be good for those travelling with kids and want to use the slides/water area. For us as 2 adults we didnt really feel its special or something we want to use everyday.

This is not a 4star hotel. It is new and the rooms are great … however the service is terrible. - not enough tables for breakfast so you wait in a queue every day. There are dirty tables everywhere and insufficient staff to clean and turnaround. - the room has cups to make tea … but no cutlery (spoons etc) - no ‘real’ coffee and only uht milk - the coffee machine (with pods) was broken - lifts and carpets filthy - no tables for dinner on first night … and didn’t inform us on arrival when we had time to book something alternative - lack of communication and customer service overall - understaffed … ordered lunch before we leave today … will it arrive before our car comes (40 minutes and we haven’t see a drink from our order yet). . 4star … and how much money to stay here? Location excellent and the kids loved Aquamotion. We slept at the hotel, skied all day and ate out every night. Not worth the money - would not go back. There are so many other fantastic hotels to go to.

We had the most magnificent stay at Ecrin Blanc - the hotel/resort is flawless and the service and attention to guests faultless. The rooms were large and immaculately clean and well maintained and there is no question this is a luxury hotel, comparable with (and in many respects, surpassing) many five star hotels we have stayed at. Access to slopes couldn’t be easier with a brilliant ski hire service. Very close to free buses travelling up to 1850. Aquamotion was great fun too - if only we’d stayed a bit longer. A huge thank you from me and my family to all the Ecrin Blanc!!

A wonderful stay, ideal location at the foot of the slopes, special mention to Samir the valet who took care of me and my family throughout our stay! I recommend this hotel, the welcome and the staff I'll certainly be back, hoping to find the same atmosphere

Check in - seamless and straight forward Vallet parking - can get busy but the staff are very attentive. Abdul at reception was very helpful - thank you Atmosphere - Christmas set up - was beautifully decorated and Gave the hotel a cosy ambience and festive atmosphere Hotel staff- overall efficient and are helpful compared to our general service experience in France Convinience- you can get SKII pass and rental within the premises! This made this hotel a go to for me, our next trip! Aquamotion access - you do not need to go out since there is a basement access -this what a plus! Great water facilities - for adults and kids alike. Breakfast has good selection with fresh juices and cofee from coffee machine was surprisingly good Room- spacious for a family of four. Stayed in junior suite Beds are comfy. There’s a lot of room for storage. Microwave was a useful addition since after a full day trip / skiing - kids have no energy to go out for meals. There’s a Dishwasher but noteable absence of cutleries? The only reason for 4 stars is the price of food / drinks ( bar) - but this not surprising for Courchevel! Overall enjoyed the stay and the amenities of the hotel and would stay in this hotel again.

The hotel was overbooked and didn't manage to maintain a basic level of services. The location is bad, rooms don't have basic things in it and overall felt like a train station. The stuff was unfriendly and unprofessional
