HD Beach Resort

We stayed at HD Beach Resort in January and had a mixed experience. Positives: * Brilliant Location: The location is outstanding, the local beachfront is full of stops, restaurants, bars and market stalls. * Delicious Food: The food was a highlight. It was consistently fresh, hot, and offered a good variety of choices. * Excellent Drinks: The all-inclusive drinks selection was impressive. * Great staff: Some of the staff at the hotel were amazing including waiters and waitresses, receptionist when we were leaving and the bar manager. Negatives: * Fly Issue: Unfortunately, our downstairs room was plagued by flies, likely due to inadequate airing out since the previous guests. While the hotel sent a fumigator and tried to address the issue, it wasn't resolved during our stay. * Reception on arrival: When we arrived, early at approx 1pm. We were greeted by a less then helpful receptionist. His manner and mannerisms were rather rude and quite unhelpful. He didn't explain the towel system correctly which a heads up is 20 euro deposit for 1 towel. We were told it was 20 euros full stop. * Still pending a much needed refurb: Not the worst by any stretch but is looking quite tired and could make itself a 5 star with a good refurb and modernization. At the minute starting to creep into the 3 star zone. Overall: While the food and drinks were fantastic, the fly issue significantly impacted our enjoyment. The hotel's efforts to rectify the situation were appreciated, but ultimately unsuccessful. We have since received compensation for the inconvenience. Recommendation: I would recommend HD Beach Resort with the caveat that guests should carefully inspect their rooms upon arrival and immediately report any issues.

The staff at this hotel were all, without exception, friendly and professional. The reception staff provided excellent information at check-in and the glass of cava is a lovely touch. We had an Emblem room, which was well worth the additional money. The room was a fantastic size, with a huge bathroom with a double sink and walk-in shower. The room was kept spotlessly clean. We used the Emblem breakfast room every morning, where we could choose from a wide range of cooked dishes and help ourselves to a range of cereals, yogurt, fresh fruit, cold meats and cheese. Emma, who served us, was very friendly and provided a very professional service. There was a wide selection of food in the buffet restaurant and there was always something for everyone. We were there for two weeks and managed to eat something different at every mealtime. We ate in the Italian restaurant on two occasions and were very pleased with both the service and the food. The server in this restaurant was very friendly and provide an excellent service. There was a vast selection of drinks available at all the bars and it is worth paying the extra for the Emblem choice of drinks. The communal areas were kept spotlessly clean. The hotel was in a beautiful location at the quiet end of Costa Teguise. The hotel is closing soon for refurbishment which will only make it better. We would certainly recommend a stay here.

First time at HD resort and we had an amazing holiday. We booked a junior suite with sea view and although the furniture was a little dated, the rooms were lovely, very spacious, walk in showers with double sinks. Our views were amazing! Had a seaview and a view of both pools. The pool areas were kept spotlessly clean and we never struggled to get a sunbed, the loungers were spread out so no cramping. The range of drinks suited us fine. Lovely house wine in the restaurant and the food was quite good. Lots of choice. All of the staff were very friendly. We really enjoyed the demonstration of how to make sangria and pina colada and then sample it. We would 100% recommend this hotel

Nice hotel, staff very helpful, polite and informative. Food very good, lots of variety to suit everyone. Rooms very clean and spacious. Pool area very nice and relaxing.Shops and bars close by. A pleasant enjoyable stay. Definitely return

The staff at this hotel are very friendly professional polite from the start at reception was Maira who explained all the details necessary needed by a guest, Maria was more than helpful throughout our stay along with Costi who were among reception staff. In the restaurant Jorge, Gérard were among the more helpful along with Elero if that's how you spell his name, but was usually with Gerard whom was impeccable at his table service. The food was not to my liking every day. But then I am very particular in my diet. The pool and other facilities were acceptable if the weather was warmer. The rooms were basic but acceptable and worn as thus hotel is about to go ahead with a renovation as adults only 5 star hotel, it is local to all other amenities and bus stops.

A fantastic hotel, large spotlessly clean room with lovely views.Food was excellent with plenty choice. Plenty sunbeds always available. Staff were always friendly and accomodating. A short walk away from the many bars and restraunts Looking forward to a return visit
