Perfect location close to the Mezquita, expensive but complete breakfast

A quite beautiful little hotel. Right in the centre of the Cordoba old town , close to the river and the Cathedral. We were upgraded to a Junior Suite, very nice. Staff were lovely and friendly. Buffet breakfast was just what we needed. Don’t park at the hotel as the streets are very , very narrow , we parked 10 mins walk away and it was all good. I would stay there again

It was almost impossible to find the 'hotel'. It is hidden behind metal gates, you cannot see the hotel at all. When I gained access, it seemed chaotic. Receptionist photocopied my passport, said the room was not ready and proceeded to put my luggage in a side room. I noticed on route how filthy everywhere was that I saw and told the receptionist I would not be staying, asked to see the manager, told not available, I left a letter for her attention setting out my complaints. Have heard nothing since despite sending 2 emails to their 'head office', contacting Booking with complaint. Disgusting from what I saw. My day was completely wasted trying to find suitable accom in Cordoba. Stayed in their Capuchinos hotel a couple of years ago which was good apart from the bath which was unusable due to being minute, enclosed by a screen, downright dangerous. Message to Soho Atalia, please return my money. There are no signs anywhere to inform people looking for the hotel where it is. Silly comment by receptionist when I complained about how filthy the hotel is "well it is in the Jewish Quarter".

Stayed here for one night and enjoyed it. Room was clean and good size. Bathroom was good. WiFi was adequate. Very convenient to the Mestiza and Bridge. Lots of restaurants in the area. We parked in a public garage and took a 5-minute walk into the hotel. Great breakfast.

Right in the centre of Cordoba, short walking distance to the Mosque-Cathedral. We had a 2 bedroom suite so could spread out a bit (and both get a good sleep!). Hidden behind huge security gates a cool courtyard leads to the entrance. Updated rooms, quiet environment at night, although the sounds of a nearby Flamenco dance school provided some entertainment! Comfortable beds, breakfast was simple. Very good welcome, brisk farewell - what was I expecting? Recommend if you’re after this location.

We decided to enjoy our stay in this hotel as we have and excellent stay in another Soho Boutique in Sevilla. For these one I would like to highlight the staff. always friendly and helpful and the location, in the old city heart and two min. walk to the Mosque/Cathedral. The rooms where clean, but in our room all spaces to small, we could not move both at the same time. I think removing some “useless” furniture at least would gain some space. Toilet is tiny but shower water pressure is perfect. The main problem for us was the noise. Very noisy as the walls are too thin i guess, we could hear all conversations even from people at 3am in the morning. Also the window was “connected” the the lobby hall and we could hear also conversations in the hall. So, hotels is nice well situated and nice staff, but rooms small and noisy, we could not sleep well and on a trip this is basic for us. In our case, next time we would look for another place but still believe that other Soho Boutique are great options. Regards

I stayed at this hotel at the end of March for two nights with a group of 15, that a colleague of mine and I put together. Unfortunately we got off to a bad start. I had called the hotel twice before arrival (on the road with our private bus driver) and was checking as to the closest drop-off point to make it easy to transfer to taxis to access the hotel . The hotel is in the historic area and even small buses (20 passenger) are not allowed in the area. I pointed out that we were mostly senior citizens and needed something convenient. the receptionist gave us the location and it agreed with what the driver had surmised. We got in the taxis and they dropped us off at the main entrance to the hotel. Upon entering the large gate we were faced with a flight of about 15 cement steps to reach the hotel lobby. Of course, we had requested hotels that had elevators. It had them to the rooms but not to reach the lobby. When I climbed the stairs (without my bags!) and entered the lobby, I asked the receptionist if they had porterage to help with the bags. Her answer was simply "No", and didn't offer any suggestions or help. 2 of our travelers helped others get the bags up the stairs. Later, we found out that there was another entrance that was street level. The receptionist should have mentioned this during one of my phone calls so that we could tell the taxis where to drop us off. Then, upon check-in, we were told there were only 3 time slots for breakfast and they only had availability at 10AM (some at 9) the next day for our group. We had a tour leaving at 10 AM the next day and they would not accommodate us initially. We were told we could possibly take food to our room (if there was enough left at the 9 AM time slot. In conclusion, we started off with a very unaccommodating attitude from the desk staff. They "softened" up the next day, and in the end the hotel was fine. The rooms were clean, and well appointed for a 3-star hotel. The location is terrific for seeing the historic part of town. Not too far from anything, sights, restaurants. etc.

Great location and rooms are ok for one night. The shower is very small! Customer service is terrible you get hardly greeted upon arrival. I also happened to forget my chargers in the room after leaving. Called the hotel to mail them to me and charge my credit card or I could pay with PayPal. They could not care less their answer was figure it out on your own. Get someone to pick it up for you was the manager answer!!!! This is truly a non existing customer service. The youth hostel is probably better than this place.

First we have received a message with an attempt from hotel staff to downgrade us to a two single bed room when we had already booked AND PAID for the night. Luckily after a quite straightforward response on our side nothing was downgraded and we got our double bed room as for reservation. Still … not a great start. Hotel location is fantastic, no doubt about this. Few minutes walk away from The Mezquita and very much in the historical center of the city, with access to everything you need. You can drive to the hotel but it’s very narrow streets with no place to stop but that’s just how the town is. Hotel offers parking at 20€ per day when you can get the same 5 minutes walk away for 15€ a day in the public mezquita parking lot. Entrance to the hotel is very nice and so is the common areas downstairs. Very nice terrace on the top floor with view on the cathedral. As for the room, this is where the place falls short of the expectations they build in the way Botique hotel Soho market themselves. The only botique thing about this is the size of the room, which is for lack of other words, tiny. We luckily stayed one night only but would definitely not recommend this for longer stays. While the bed is quite comfy there is pretty much nothing else in the room that is to the level of a botique hotel - a tiny desk is the only space where you can lay things on; the small fridge is in a corner and coffee machine is directly on top of the fridge - with a couple small coffee cups, few teabags and some sugar. We had to get downstairs to ask for a couple of larger tea cups. There is no kettle and we have been told to use the coffee machine to get hot water for tea. (Coffee aftertaste tea… maybe a new trend…) The bathroom is spacious, but the seemingly nice hydro massage shower….well it’s there just for show as it doesn’t work at all - all you get it’s a normal shower (so don’t believe their pictures). I do not even want to comment on the sink, with a tap very tricky to mix / balance in between very hot and cold water. The sink itself was very wobbly and not safely fixed to the wall, it could actually constitute a safety hazard. In summary, this hotel definitely delivers on a good visual aesthetic , but largely lacks on facilities. While staff has been polite and helpful, I think hotel management really needs to get their game together as service-wise this hotel is not worth half the price.
