Great location in the Vista…walking distance for several restaurants and bars. Very inviting hotel lobby; big rooms; clean baths. If they are busy, parking is at a premium but al in all a very nice hotel.

The location was awesome. The police station is in front of the hotel. Great walking distance to numerous places to eat. But the breakfast staff was very rude. An older woman I guess the cook, was griping and complaining at a team of young men that didn’t come to the breakfast area until 9:50am … and how she had no more food ready… and how she was “not” going to cook …she was loud and unnecessary.
At another time she told patrons to stop walking up to the food and get in one line!
Honestly she reminded me of the high school cafeteria worker...lording over the food tables, fussing and complaining… and the breakfast was cold.. we walked to IHOP..
Overall the staff was awesome … check in was seamless. Shay and the morning staff was very professional….

Our stay was great. It was a last minute trip and we enjoyed the location being that it was in the center of town. The room was very spacious and nice and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay here again.

My stay at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites downtown Columbia SC in the Vista was such an amazing and wonderful stay. Being greeted at the front desk by Sabrina was the start of an amazing and awesome stay. She was very friendly and informative. She made sure our needs were met beyond expectations. The hotel is immaculate and centrally located and walkable to eateries and entertainment. My room was clean and well stocked with quality amenities. Every staff was busy making sure rooms and inside of hotel was clean and stocked. A definite recommended stay and return stay at this hotel. Very highly recommended!!! Excellent hotel and services ❤️🥰

Hotel is nice staff was nice. But whoever put a bunch of kids above my room that ran around all night and at 6am.
