We booked this as we knew our flight home to Glasgow Airport was landing late and we could not face the long drive home at such a time. By the time we cleared with our bags and walked to the hotel from the terminal it was 2am when we checked in. Unfortunately we were given room 115, which was opposite the elevators on the first floor. It was also not only an accessible room with wet bathroom (no shower unless you wanted to flood the whole room) but also had a ”connecting” door to the next room. No idea who was on the either side, but not ideal for either of us given our late arrival. I was feeling extremely tired and and went straight to my bed - unfortunately it was far too soft and it was a double, so we tended to fall into the middle where the ”hole” or ”dip” in the mattress was. With us both trying to sleep on the outside of the mattress for comfort we continually pulled the small duvet from each other in an attempt to keep warm after our return from Africa. The pillows were also too soft for my liking, however that was minor compared to the mattress. There hours later, at around 5am the corridor started coming alive with excited children heading off on their holidays, running and squealing, literally!! I can't blame them for being enthusiastic, but perhaps their parents might have understood that some guests might still wish to sleep at that time? Thus our morning continued so when we finally dragged ourselves up for breakfast around 9am I was extremely tired and somewhat grumpy... Now to breakfast; a fairly good selection was on offer if you came at a quiet time. I saw some guests leave towards the end our meal time as they did not want to wait in the queue for what was left. My main gripe about the breakfast was again, not the hotel's fault, but the guests, who presumably are not used to staying in hotels and don't know what swerving utensils are for. I saw one female guest pick up and touch several slices of bread and returning them before picking what she put in the toaster machine. I purposely picked a slice she hadn't pawed and waited whilst it went through the machine, then just as it arrived a young man (her son I believe) whisked it away in front of me. Manners non existent. The breakfast staff were helpful and friendly and the food on offer was perfectly adequate if all the guests knew how to behave. All in all, we picked this hotel for a catch up sleep after a late flight in and we didn't achieve that so we will not be back.

We were surprised to be given a free upgrade on arrival which was a great start to our holiday. The room was nice, clean and comfortable. Amazing water pressure in the shower - it felt like I was under a waterfall! :) We decided to have our dinner at the hotel which was lovely. Check-out the next morning was super quick and with just a short walk across the road to the airport you could not get a better location.

We stayed over at the Marriott courtyard overnight for a hotel stay and parking for our international flight. The hotel is lovely fresh clean and modern, very Upto date in a contemporary style. We had evening dinner which was amazing, gr8’choice from the menu and it was served by lovely pleasant staff. We had soup of the day which was a very tasty lentil and ham which tasted home made it was so good 😊 then we had our main which was a fantastic burger which was absolutely delicious and amongst one of the best we’ve ever tasted and we are comparing the ones we got in New York to that! Washed down with a very nice red wine 🍷 it was the perfect dinner. When booking this hotel, the convenience to the airport was a major factor in and we will come back here time and time again, it was so good! If that wasn’t enough, our car had a flat battery on return from holiday and we asked at reception if they knew anyone who could give assistance after being up so early and having a fairly long flight, we had not envisaged this happening. Well what can I say - Martin Kooij the general manager immediately offered to help out and without hesitation he gave assistance with a jump start to our car! That is unreal service and goes above and beyond anything I’ve known. When you know a hotel as good as this one, is as helpful to lend assistance as this you know they really care about first class customer service and the experience we have had with helping us out is a credit to Martin who is a lovely amazing guy and who couldn’t be more helpful. Thanks again, we loved our stay so much here we will be recommending the hotel to all our friends colleagues and associates. Keep up the amazing five star service which I have no doubt you will!

Great friendly atmosphere, great food and facilities, the staff are excellent very professional any need is catered for!! the spa has just had a re-vamp and is looking very modern , The new owners seem to be upgrading more parts of the building it won’t disappoint Mar hall is situated in a very quiet area with beautiful surroundings great for cycling and long walks especially during the better weather, it has an excellent bar with a great menu to choose from you could get a taxi into Glasgow if your looking for some party night life it’s about a 15/20 minute drive to the city centre We are looking forward to our next visit! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

4 of us booked back in May for the Howard Donald event, £55 per ticket with a 2 course meal and a glass of bubbly on arrival. We were shown to our table and met with afternoon tea on cake stands. I had my own due to dietary requirements but the other three in my group had one cake stand between them. We took one from another place setting and the waiting staff then replaced it. There was no consistency between the stands, some had pate and some didn’t, one tiny quiche to share between 2. At no point were we told the meal had been changed to afternoon tea and no apology was received. At some point later in the day there was water in the ladies toilet so we couldn’t flush the toilets or wash hands and then there was no toilet paper. The venue quite clearly could y cope with the even and a wedding. We left early, as did lots of people, very disappointed and feeling pretty ripped off.

Our recent stay at Moxy Glasgow SEC was comfortable, quiet and enjoyable. The availability of heavily subsidised parking next to the hotel (which must be validated by asking at reception) was an added bonus - only £8/day! The check-in and check-out processes were straightforward, with friendly staff at reception. Accessed with a key-card, our room, although compact and overlooking the aforementioned car park, was modern, clean and provided good amenities. The view from the room didn't detract from our stay, as with the curtains drawn and window closed, any car park light/noise could be avoided - this was necessary the nights events were on at the SEC. Our room was a 'moxy twin sleeper' (two single beds) - though the beds were really close together. Additionally, there wasn't really any storage space, and the use of paper cups instead of the use of mugs could have elevated the room. Despite this, the room was well-decorated and met our needs during a four-night stay. Overall, the Moxy Glasgow SEC was well-priced, and the modern, clean rooms helped us to have a pleasant and comfortable stay!

Overall experience was great. the hotel has a lovely first impression when you walk in, and it smells lovely. Checking in quick and easy, staff very friendly. Only a small problem was when we checked in. I was asked if we would be using the car park, which I said yes we will be, I was told it is £15 per night, which I had no problem I then paid by card with the parking. The staff member never asked us for our car registration plate at the time, but I didn't think anything about it. Also, be aware that while parking in the car park, our car rear window got smashed as there are mental pipes sticking out of the very low units. The hotel wasn't interested at all as it's park at your own risk. After my husband spoke to someone at the reception desk about our smashed rear window, he proceeded to look at our reservation, and there was no log of a car registration, but we had already paid. My husband explained this, and the person at the reception said we should have been asked our registration plate prompt to fill something in, which we weren't. A few days after we arrived home, we received a fine through the post for using the car park without paying, quick call to the hotel and it was quickly rectified. A few issues that shouldn't have happened.

On arriving at the hotel we were greeted with a warm welcome . Our rooms were not all ready however we were able to use one room for our suitcases . We decided to have a drink in the lobby bar . Jamie one of the bar staff was so friendly and helped us with a table and more chairs nothing was a bother we asked where to go for food and entertainment he helped with this . Rooms clean and the beds and pillows were delightful. Breakfast everything you needed and you could also request poached eggs. stevie the host was very friendly , he greeted us with a smile very chatty nothing a problem. Altogether a wonderful stay . Great location. Would stay here again when in Glasgow . Thank you

Having stayed here a few times before due to its location and reasonable price, I was left disappointed this time. I had booked this hotel because for some reason every hotel in Glasgow that weekend was unusually expensive. Hotels I would have expected to pay ＞£100 were £150/180. The jury’s was £111. A warm welcome from reception staff and the main lobby is modern and clean. The room we were allocated (618) was a bit dated. It was spacious because it was an accessible room, not at our request so maybe why it was cheaper than others. The above two points didn’t really bother us because it was just somewhere to sleep as we were attending a gig. Unfortunately we did not sleep very well. The windows didn’t do enough to soundproof the outside street noise, the walls were paper thin and you could hear the neighbours talking, plugging and unplugging electrical items- all minor quiet stuff which you shouldn’t really be able to here. Our room had a buzzing noise coming from the vent in the room which kept us awake til 7.30am… and then the neighbours started getting ready to check out. We never complained during the night because we were so tired after being out all night and the noise was intermittent so just when you thought you were back to sleep, it started again. The room was clean but as I said dated, and for this reason I don’t think I’d chose to stay here again.

Thank you to the staff, as a solo traveller I was quite nervous but I felt so safe. Check in was smooth and friendly. The hotel is clean, stylish and smart. You need your room key to use the lifts so I felt so safe going to my room. I stayed in a double room and it was so spacious! Everything was tidy and well placed. Even though there was a fun fair on the next street it didn’t really bother me when I shut the window. It was my first time staying in an apart-hotel and I would definitely recommend! I didn’t know that having ice in the freezer and cutlery would make me so happy haha. I could chill my water and have a lovely meal in my room without having to fork out for a more expensive takeaway. I used the Tesco express down the street to get myself fresh food. The bathroom had a lovely heated towel Rail too so I had the warmest, fluffiest towel! Down in the lobby they have a Brita water filter, board games, extra kitchen equipment and food and drink. Will certainly return if I ever visit Glasgow again!
