This is a historical hotel in Chicago, love it very much. I love their restaurant & bar, good atmosphere and serve with good foods (see my pictures).
I will definitely choose this hotel again by the next time to Chicago

The elevator halls on each floor are very spacious, with 14 elevators. Although you need to change elevators on the 20th floor, it is still very convenient. It has a good view of Lake Michigan and the park. The service in the restaurant is friendly and the breakfast price is reasonable at US$25.

The facilities are first-rate, the public security is good, and the circuit load of the newly built hotel is good. The day before, a hotel next door with the same price had unstable voltage when a hair dryer was plugged in. The price is several hundred yuan more expensive than the same five-star hotel. The room area is much larger, and it is equipped with a microwave oven, induction cooker, and oven. If I come to Chicago again, I will vote for Trump.

According to the booking, filter and photos, it shows there is a pool at this location. THERE IS NOT A POOL HERE. We only booked this hotel for the amenities and view. Not finding out until we had checked in and inquired about pool hours we were too late to cancel our hotel. So just wasted a night and money on a place I would have never stayed at. We did not have a pool and according to trip booking parking showed for $78 but was more when we arrived. I’m not happy

Separate the truly excellent Webster Grille restaurant from this hotel and you have ... nothing that recommends staying here. But the Webster Grille is expensive ($95 steaks and up.) So, there is a bit of a mismatch. Check-in took forever because they had one person at the desk handling a line that literally went out the door. Hotels know who is coming in and should plan accordingly. I was here 5 nights, and 6 days and got housekeeping service twice despite asking for it each day. One day they came in and emptied the garbage cans and threw some towels on the bed and tossed in a couple of Keurig cups. There are just too many other options to stay here. The beds and sheets are pretty good, but it's just a place to stay - no frills and poor service. I will look elsewhere next trip.

Had a view of the Nike and Ferragamo stores and Ritz Carlton Residences on Michigan Ave. Room and bathroom were very spacious. Modern amenities and very clean. Front desk staff in first floor lobby was very nice and friendly. Free breakfast with a view from the 20th floor was good. Did not utilize valet parking at $75. I visited the Warwick Allerton with a group of friends over a three night stay. The hotel is older, in the midst of a remodel. Our room was fine, appeared to be remodeled. It was clean, comfortable bed and furniture. Housekeeping had to be scheduled and we ran out of toilet paper before the scheduled service. Additionally our wifi was continually disconnecting. Alicia from the front desk offered to come up to our room, reset our wifi and delivered 2 rolls of toilet paper. She arrived within minutes of me talking to her. She was friendly and very helpful. The hotel charges a $15.00 daily service fee. The restaurant was closed for remodeling and there was no food on the premises. There may have been a gym, which we did not use. I fail to see the benefits of the facility fee and would rather just have the room charge be higher if the hotel needs to make a higher profit on the rooms. The hotel is in a good location for shopping and restaurants. The valet service was also efficient.

I stayed here in 2006 and looked forward to coming back again. Everything in the hotel was fine. The location was superb. I was upgraded to a high-rise suite overlooking Michigan Avenue. Although there was street noise, it was not very disturbing. The bed was super comfortable. The bathroom was perfect and luxurious with makeup. The breakfast was good and I didn't try to eat in the restaurant. To compliment it has reached the same standard as its Asian sister hotel, I will still go to this hotel in Chicago.

My sisters and I live in Chicago (I live 10 minutes away from the hotel). We wanted to take a quick staycation. The Sable is near a lot of iconic and historic places in Chicago. The hotel was to live for!!! The staff was absolutely amazing!!! Contemporary furniture, an amazing bathroom, and comfortable rooms. The views were priceless inside and outside the hotel. We walked everywhere. There are bars, restaurants, stores, boat tours, entertainment, etc... within walking distance of the hotel. Awesome would be an understatement!

Excellent
GGuest UserWe stayed here on a 2 day vacation after getting married (not the honeymoon). We were on the 7th floor so we thought it would be rather quiet, or, at least, not too much ambient noise from outside. We were wrong. We heard cars, sirens and utility trucks like they were right outside our window. We heard the elevator ding every time someone called for one. The walls (exterior and interior) must be very thin compared to every other hotel we've been to.
We ordered Chinese from a nearby restaurant and it was very good, but we had way more than we could finish. Opened up the fridge and it was turned off! We turned it on high and it never got very cold. We probably should have called the front desk, but instead we told them on the way out.
The ice machine was broken on our floor and the vending machine would not take credit cards. The rooms are dated. The bathroom lights are very bright and only one switch for all of them. When going to the bathroom in the middle of the night you are blinded. This is ridiculous. There should be a way of illuminating in at least 2 stages or at least don't install concert lighting.
The staff were not friendly nor inviting. The pillows and sheets were nice, but the bet was very uncomfortable.
All in all I would never stay here again and wish I had seen a review like this when I researched area hotels.
GGuest UserThe hotel has a good location, just beside Michigan Avenue, and convenient to all major attractions in Chicago. The hotel environment is also very good. It is quiet and clean. The space is large enough. There is sufficient hot water supply, but there is no hot water to drink. We brought our own heat The most distinctive feature of the kettle for boiling water is the hotel’s robots, which can deliver water and daily necessities, which are available on demand, great! We did not have breakfast at the hotel, but there are many restaurants around, which are very convenient. The waiters in the hotel are very good and the service is very warm and thoughtful. Our trip felt very good, the price was affordable and the process was comfortable!
GGuest UserWe almost always stay at Marriotts or HIltons — when we've stayed at boutique hotels, we've found that the rooms are a little too quirky or way too overpriced (or both!). But this was the recommended hotel for a nearby wedding, so we booked it. And it exceeded our expectations, and then some. The room was massive, with a gorgeous bathroom, high ceilings, and excellent bedding. The food at the restaurant downstairs was great. And the staff was remarkably friendly (our stay was from a Saturday night through Monday morning, and with street parking being free on Sundays, the staff gave us a heads up so we could save the money instead of parking in a nearby garage). We loved this hotel — we'd happily stay here again!
NNicole Plantenis1. Didn’t asked for accesible room, but that’s what I got.
2. AC/heating system had a weird noise all night, you can’t turn it on because literally you won’t sleep.
3. Shower had someone’s else hairs in the shower wall, gross.
- Hotel Manager: if you do not trust the team and their responsibilities, then you will have to do the rounds yourself to ensure your hotel is operating properly in all aspects.
- Housekeeping manager: If you do not trust your people, you will have to do the rounds yourself.
-If you still do your rounds but you don’t inspect the rooms properly, then you shouldn’t be in that position.
Room fridge isn’t working in the rooms (front desk mentioned) so they ask you if you need one to ask front desk but they are charging for it, so who’s fault is it? client or hotel? don’t charge for something you need to repair REGARDLESS. Make no sense for customer service.
Also, if you guys are having a group of “young teen/just turn 21” people, why would you put someone on the accesible room by their room? If someone requires an accesible room, in this case I didn’t required one, got assigned one, but imagine an elder person by their room. These “kids” were loud as heck until 4AM, fighting, arguing, drunk, crying, overall it was a nightmare.
Normally I have a good experience with Sheratons, but this one is overrated.
I chose this hotel because last minute the company I work for had a meeting suggesting to find different hotels that may give us a group rate for the upcoming visits we will have to do in Chicago, but there’s no way I will suggest my coworkers to stay at this hotel with a first time bad experience.
Not sure if I would give it a second try. Can’t risk it.
TTamariI was in this hotel for a conference so my need is quite minimal. Generally speaking the hotel is in a great location that is easily accessible. The room itself is fairly simple , I think for this price though the service should be a little better. My room has couple of occasion that the tea and coffee wasn’t top up after cleaning and soap as well. The bathtub is a bit stained but it is cleaned. Wifi - there were multiple times that it was a bit slow .
If I have to rank based on the price as well I would say above average
SsknoseyThe free breakfast is not a full buffet but a choice of egg and then usually fried potato and beefburger patty or slices of sausage. the rest was tiny yoghurt and bread for toast, or make your own waffles. there is tea coffee and hot chocolate. There was cereal and porridge but sometimes it is made so thin that its not worth eating.
There is no tea in the room, just coffee. The machine had a disposable tray but they ran out so I used the same one for 9 days for tea and coffee (i got teabags from the breakfast room). Housekeeping never supplied what you asked for first time, or even second. If you want something and ask at 2pm, you will get it if you chase a couple of times afterwards by 9-10pm.
There was also alot of messing about with respect to check out time. I am a member of the loyalty programme which is meant to give you an automatic late checkout. The manager gave it to me but then when I went back to ask about extending it further for a fee, it was clear the other guy behind the counter was on a power trip and the day before started saying I shouldnt have got it and as it was the manager, he wouldnt withdraw it but he could and I should only get an hour and be charged $25/hr after that etc. He was just a mean spiteful man who saw an opportunity to cause worry and distress and he did it. I had luggage to store and it was a late flight so I had to know whether to pack to store it to check out at midday, or 1 or 2 or 3 or 4 (they were messing me about with all times) but this is why I gave a 1 star for service. It is not at all professional but childish and spiteful. I had arranged the extended checkout days before and the day before they were messing me about when I had to pack and had a schedule of things to do? The worst service in any hotel I have ever been in. Hilton is no longer a 5 star experience it seems. 1 star for service.
I hosted my sons engagement party; at the Couryard by Marriott at Medical District/UIC and, it was a HORRIBLE experience!!!!! I would not recommend the venue an option to anyone seeking to host a ”Special” event. They are very unprofessional. The Sales team had me stressed out 2 weeks prior to my event. It was memorable. I planned and booked the engagement cocktil party from Denver Colorado, over the phone and email. I selected the property 10 months in advance. I shared with the Sales Manager that my wife and I got married, at the property, 33 years prior. I also shared how important it was to make sure it was to make sure the event was perfect. The Sales Manager assured me it would exceed my expectations. The Sales Manager advised up front the property was undergoing renovations. BUT would be finished by our event. When I asked if we could bring in catering to reflect Chicago-centric food, she told me it should not be a problem. She would have to confirm with the new Sales Director, who would be starting in January 2023. In January, I reached out to Director of Sales regarding the proposd menu. She advisd we would have to use in-house catering. Again I asked her if the hotel would consider allowing us to bring in our own food. I asked her to send menus and she advised they were not available yet. Nor in March, nor in April. There was no kitchen in yet. At the end of April, 12 days before my booked event, the Director of Sales suggested I move my event. There would be no food availablefor my event. Invitations had already gone out, my guests had already booked hotel rooms, and the deposit had already been charged to my credit card. No way I was moving my even at the LAST minute. I advised the Director of Sales that was not an option! I finally suggested we buy all the potato chips and cookies from the in-house market place. She begrudingly agreed. She created a menu from the in-house market place and sent it over. The make shift market place is located next to make shift front desk! WHY AM I DISGUSTED? My wife and I arrived to our walk through an hour early, the day prior to our event. When the Sales Manager walked us through our event and alternative spaces....Lo and Behold...there was catering set up for the event held at the property THAT morning. Worse yet...a catered breakfast was still set up from an event, THE morning of my event. The chaffing dishes were still lit. Ice water was still in the pitchers. I was CONSISTENTLY told there was NO catering available. My cocktail party went without a hitch! The Banquet and Catering team were AWESOME. They made sure...even though I only had cookies and potato chips, it went off without a hitch! The hotel employees were gracious. To this day, the General Manager has refused to speak with me...I called her and left messages several times. After completing an email survery, I received an email. I even reached ou to Marriott corporate on 2 seperate occasions. No response.
GGuest UserThis is the best hotel to stay at if you have an early morning or late night flight. It was very clean and well-managed and it served our purposes.
We will use it every time we take a late night trip to Asia which we do 4 times a year at present. We were very pleased.
GGuest UserThere is a bus to the airport. The service is good. I checked in early. Later, the plane arrived at 6:00, and the front desk delayed check-out until 3:00. The service is heart-warming, and it is also a good choice for airport transit
