The evening staff where nowhere to be seen on the evening we checked in. They had a sign at reception saying they were in the bar and a sign in the bar saying they were at reception. Took over 20 minutes to find a member of staff to be able to check in and they weren’t even apologetic once they turned up. The next evening we went for a drink in the bar, while the rugby finals were on. There were many people trying to get a drink, however again the bar/reception staff were not around. Ended up giving up waiting without being served and going back to our room instead. Very disappointed with the service. The room and location had everything you needed, however and we had no complaints in this regard.

Stayed here with the family last weekend and would highly recommend this hotel. The room was clean and, even though the rules have changed, housekeeping were very efficient. Breakfast was as you would expect but with more care and attention than I have seen at any other Travelodge. Hot food was replenished almost instantly and everything was clean and tidy. Special mention must go to Doreen who provided hands down the best customer service I have ever received in any hotel. My son is coeliac and Doreen took the time on our first evening to go through each menu item and double check what was suitable for him. She was friendly and engaging, always with a smile on her face. During breakfast she made a point of greeting each guest and seemed to know who was happy for a chat and who was happy with just a cheery 'good morning'.

The staff at Luccombe Hall were brilliant, from booking to check out. They were friendly and helpful, happy to share information about what to do on the island, and took the hassle out of arranging our ferry - even getting us onto a later crossing when we decided to stay a little longer. The hotel itself was in such a beautiful setting. The view is incredible and the sun shone throughout our stay, so we made use of the gardens to drink our coffee in the morning and the outdoor pool in the afternoons. Included in our stay was access to the nearby Shanklin Chine, which gave a pretty and easy (despite the steps) route down to the beach. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable and the decor was good. The TV had options to connect streaming platforms, which was useful. It might have been nice to have a fridge and safe in the room. Breakfast was great, with a selection of cereals, pastries and fruit, as well as cooked breakfasts. The Eggs Benedict was particularly tasty. Dinner was good, though felt a little pricey for what it was. Evening coffee was from a machine and sadly wasn't up to much. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay and would thoroughly recommend.

The owner is very nice and the food is delicious, the hot water is very comfortable, in a location close to the beach!

A last-minute getaway for my birthday and it didn't disappoint. A friendly and helpful welcome from Laina and Dennis awaits you. The rooms are immaculate, the bed is comfy, and we were lucky enough to have a bay room that looks right out over, well, the bay. The breakfast is excellent, tasty, well cooked, a good variety (including fried bread!!), and it really sets you up for a day of exploring. Our only downside is that we only got to stay two nights and wish it could be longer. We will certainly be returning and look forward to staying for longer next time. Lovely B&B clearly well run - the welcome was warm and friendly and it was clear pride was taken in providing a good level of service excellent based on price so was great value. Location is a bit of a hike to the Esplanade (where I wandered down for some dinner but be warned it’s an uphill hike back!) the advantage was you were able to park. If I was going to criticise anything it would be the size of the to in the room. As I work away a lot it is one of the things I find advantageous! Breakfast was excellent and certainly filled a hole! I’d book again as for a one night stop you can do a lot worse!
