Dans un lieu enchanteur où la nature est luxuriante, vous trouverez le parfait équilibre entre une vie saine dont le yoga fait partie et la vie plus festive où le bon vin et la nourriture biologique et gastronomique qui sont servis par la chef Joana vous combleront de bonheur! Les très gentils propriétaires, Vera et Cam, font tout pour rendre le séjour inoubliable. Le yoga bénéfique est donné avant le déjeuner, dans une verrière/plateforme aménagée pour cela. Les vitres sur 3 côtés nous permettent de communiquer avec la nature. Les activités en PM: aller en randonnée sur le bord de la mer et de ses falaises escarpées, chapeautées de fleurs multicolores, faire du SUP sur la rivière cristaline, visiter un vignoble dont le vigneron est passionné dans l'art de faire des vins "nature", tout ça rend ce séjour inoubliable et crée des liens amicaux entre les personnes du groupe. Je pense que vous avez compris que vous devez réserver à Quinta Camarena si vous souhaitez vivre une expérience unique!

The accommodation was clean and perfectly located for hiking at Rota Vicentina or relaxing in the nature. Cam and Vera (the hosts) and Diogo (local supporter) organized everything well. Check-in, the phone number for a local taxi driver and a personalized breakfast with e.g. cookies, omelette, cereals, bread and much more from local producers. I can definetly recommend this accommodation.

Vera and the staff at Quinta Camarena are unparalleled. Vera will help arrange activities, which for us included daily yoga, wine tasting, horseback riding, hiking, and finding local artisans. Breakfast and dinners were included, and she rotated chefs so we were able to experience different flavors. Sustainable, local and seasonal products only in everything Vera provided at Quinta. Vera even arranged for dinner at a local restaurant to enjoy true Alentejo cuisine. A special thank you to Chef Rafael for the spicy and your attention to everything!

The essence of Portuguese culture and hospitality can be found here at Quinta Camarena! Vera our host saw to every detail and made us feel so welcomed, even before we arrived. We were a big group and stayed in several of the houses and rooms! The accommodations were all clean, comfortable, and well-appointed. The chef Rafael cooked up the most delicious meals, using all seasonal ocal ingredients. Vera arranged activities and explorations in and around the quaint town of Cercal do Alentejo. Each and every person we met from the farmer, to the weaver, to the blacksmith to the winery owner were passionate, skilled and welcoming. I would highly recommend booking an adventure at Quinta Camarena.

Gorgeous location, fabulous food and amazing hospitality! Spent a truly magical week doing yoga, hiking, and eating great food. Come and relax in a great space! Walk to town or take a cab to MiraFlores.

Just returned from 4 nights at Qunita Camarena as part of the SLB Activation fitness retreat. I stayed in one of the new Hillside Cuartos; it was airy and spacious with lots of natural light and a private balcony. My room had a comfortable bed, plenty of storage area for my clothes, and the shower had great water pressure. The Hillside Cuartos are a short uphill walk from the Camtina area, down a pine needle covered path past The Ground. Vera was a lovely hostess and her passion for the land is evident. From the fresh fruit from native fruit trees served at breakfast to the local textiles in the rooms, you immediately feel immersed in the local area. As part of our itinerary, we enjoyed a traditional tapas dinner at 100 Pressas in Cercal, a tasting at the Herdade do Cebolal winery, and a beach workout day in Vila Nova de Milfontes. Our dinners at Camtina featured rotating local chefs including Cafe Nativa, Chef Ann, and Chef Rafael. Each delicious meal was plant based and satisfying and the chefs explained the local ingredients and products. Caring hosts, peaceful surroundings, environmental mindfulness, endless activities, and nourishing meals were the perfect recipe for a reset – I’d return to Quinta Camarena in a heartbeat!

I stayed at Quinta Camarena as part of a group trip with Much Better Adventures. Vera and Cam were wonderful hosts. They go out of their way to make you feel welcome and to make the very most of your holiday - be that arranging additional activities or providing great local recommendations. Whether you are staying in the house or the new hillside rooms, you will be very comfortable and the grounds provide the perfect retreat from city life. Every meal was a delight, made with local, organic, seasonal ingredients, full of flavour and a genuine highlight of my stay at Quinta Camarena. I loved the community and sustainable ethos they have developed here and it is clearly something they are both very passionate about. Already thinking about when I can return!

Community, sustainability, flavor, adventure, and relaxation! This trip had it all! I can't recommend a stay with Quinta Camarena enough; Vera and Cam have so much dedication, passion, and love that they pour into everything they do here! There's also a couple of cute pups and kittens on the property, so all the more reason to stay!

A wonderful life affirming experience…upon arrival first impressions are a rustic set up…a few more steps in and you get embraced by the brilliance of Quinta Camarena. I had opted for the five day not so serious yoga retreat; the clue is in the title. This may not be for the hard-core yoga retreat types; this was my first one so I arrived with a degree of trepidation which was quickly dismissed by the fantastic greeting by the wonderful Vera and Cam. Their amazing hospitality continued throughout the five days. Nothing was too much trouble and their authenticity is heart-warming in this crazy world. The food was sublime, I am shifting towards a vegetarian diet, have read all the books I can about moving from a ultra-high processed diet and wow did this retreat deliver, delicious wholesome food, always plentiful and diverse at every meal. I’m hooked. I arrived with two friends but if you are a solo traveller don’t be put off, we were in the minority, half of the retreat were solo travellers but from the first meal it wasn’t evident as one of the added benefits was varied conversations between different nationalities …all made possible by the environment that has been created at Quinta Camarena. We shared the ground floor of one of the houses, perfect for the three of us, but having had the most amazing massage in one of the ‘new rooms’ I will be treating myself to that next time. They are simple, sustainable luxury. Let’s talk about yoga…ive dipped in and out of it, wanted to commit, never quite felt it was quite ‘me’….I have returned a convert. Others have mentioned the fantastic experience of the yoga platform and the superb teacher, I can add little to their comments other than to echo them. The ‘trips’ were great, I didn’t think we’d join in with them all but we did; the local leather shop, the weaver, the pottery and the inspirational vineyard, bio diverse, delicious and oh so very reasonable. In amongst all that we managed afternoons on local beaches, swimming in the sea, aperol and sangria in nearby bars…..a simply brilliant trip…all facilitated by this magical place and hosts. I cannot wait to return.
