Excellent location. Stunning grounds. Great service from the bar staff and Cam was great, looking after us in the restaurant and arranging for background music. Food very good. Must try Michelin Star next visit. The village is amazing and the gardens at the manor stunning

Sublime setting enhanced by such a rare combination of on one hand professional service that is truely exceptional whilst in parallel the love and care with which guests are treated is palpable on so many levels. Good humour is also prevalent and a genuine willingness to go the extra mile. We are deeply grate-full to One and All

We love The Manor House! What a beautiful setting in the tiny jewel of Castle Combe! We stayed here many years ago when visiting the Cotswolds and always vowed to return, so we did! The Manor House itself is a classic English country manor with all the trimmings. Beautiful public rooms and very spacious bedroom…we took the “plush view” and we are perched right above the bar area with a view of the beautiful centuries old sequoia (that’s right, sequoia!) which we remembered from our first visit. Incredible! We have an ultra modern bathroom complete with stand-alone bathtub, and very modern walk-in shower with three kinds of nozzle options. Excellent dining options from the Castle Inn, which is part of the hotel, a short walk through their Mews cottages (where we stayed years ago), right next to the Market Cross, to dining in one of the lounges in the Manor House, to the Michelin starred Bybrook. Breakfast is served in the Bybrook as well. (See my other reviews on dining, though we passed on the 7-course only meal option at Bybrook). The staff is as nice as staff can get. So helpful. It’s a short walk into the lovely village and it’s famous scene from the bridge where Dr Doolittle was filmed many years ago. The beauty of it is that nothing has changed in 400 years. Not a shopping place except for a small home baked good stare, and a weekend market in the small town hall with about 10 vendors., They also have a marvelous golf course named “The Manor House”. We walked there from the hotel…the fairways and greens look terrific, and nicely tended to…wish I had time to play it…next time. We dined in the Clubhouse of the course and had excellent fish and chips…sandwiches and burgers also available…with full bar. There are number of nice walks from the easy loop into town and back to 1, 2 and 2 hour walks with various terrain. The included breakfast at the Bybrook was excellent with tasty smoked salmon and eggs, Eggs Benedict, etc and continental buffet. Highly Recommend!

The manor house was stunning and the grounds incredibly well kept. Staff was also extremely friendly and helpful. We received a complimentary room upgrade which was extremely generous of them! Castle Combe is so picturesque and worth the visit.

Fabulous check in with the loviest of staff with the biggest of smiles! Our room was chosen by your booking team and what a room it was! ‘LittleTwizzlaeHead’ suite was just a perfect start to our anniversary celebration’s - no less than 3 TV’s the most amazing views and everthing you could possibly want including complimentary chocolates! . The hotel is a maze of rooms full of so much character and history! We had beautiful weather and spent it wandering the gardens and exploring the village and PUB! thank you to a well oiled team who obviously go the extra mile to make each and every guest feel special! We will be back if you’re have us both!

After a busy week in London for business, my wife and I spent a lovely weekend at the Manor House in Castle Combe. For anyone looking for the quintessential picture-book English country estate, you cannot go wrong with The Manor House, which isn't simply near Castle Combe (one of the most beautiful Cotswold villages in the area), but actually integrated within the village itself. The first thing you notice about the Manor House when coming down the drive is the impeccably manicured grounds the hotel sits upon. Then you see the Manor House itself in all its glory. From top to bottom, the hotel is extremely well appointed. Historic, but not stuffy. Luxurious but not pretentious. We stayed in the Wellow cottage just up the drive from the house itself. The rooms mirror the surroundings with stone and wood throughout. The luxury bathroom with dual tubs and a large shower was the size of our London hotel room. The beds are soft and pillowy, and the wifi is strong. When it comes to service, the staff is wonderful and helpful. The food selection is perfect and the ability to order food and enjoy it in any of the Manor House rooms, or the outside lawn was a wonderful option. The included breakfast was wonderful, with a cooked option as well as a buffet. If you want a quick bite, you just need to stroll down the street to the Castle Inn - an adjoining pub with a great, changing menu. Bybrook, the hotel's signature restaurant deserves its Michelin star with an outstanding 7 course tasting menu. I cannot recommend the Manor House enough. From location, to ambiance, to the helpful staff, this property needs to be top on your list for a Cotswolds holiday.

Nice lunch in a great setting. We had salmon sandwiches in the bar, overlooking the front garden. Great atmosphere. They must be struggling here, as everywhere else, with personnel issues. The people in service were very young, nice and friendly enough, but not very attentive. They were more speaking and joking amongst each other than paying attention to details (forgetting to bring napkins when serving food) and customers. Not what I expect from a hotel/restaurant with this reputation. Senior management has to look into better coaching.

We have eaten here before but never stayed as we live just 12 miles away. This was an anniversary so we decided to push the boat out. Whatever you say about this place it is not cheap. But it is a really lovely experience the Manor itself is steeped in history and beautifully looked after, we stayed in Broadmead I think these few rooms were added but if so done architecturally beautifully so you cannot tell but they have the most superb modern bathrooms, ultra comfortable beds and pillows. All staff we met were friendly and efficient especially those on reception and all we met in the Bybrook restaurant, a special mention to Marrios and Ralooka- the enthusiastic excellent Somelier and waitress- made our evening. The food was amazing a tasting menu of the very highest quality. Breakfast again great all freshly made for you and you could tell. Miriam who looks 16 but is 19 was helpful and fun, she will go far. So it is difficult even churlish to find fault- apart from cost- I suppose the water in the rooms being in a difficult to open Tin was a silly mistake, apparently their effort to ‘save the planet’ So you cannot fail to enjoy this place, congratulations to owners and staff.
