We are experienced travellers. We have stayed at this hotel in the past, which is why we went back... on the last legs of a three week European driving trip. Location on main square is great, private parking is great, lovely restaurant with great staff who served and smiled !!....Room was fine. In the morning after taking a shower I noticed that the 3-4 towels in the bathroom were thin, not 'white' and totally worn out (suitable for the cat basket perhaps)...and fraying along the long edges...and then the bathroom sink would flush away. I crawled under the sink and managed to get the levers to work to open the plug, but not fully...it was faulty. We came down for breakfast and I showed the 'Manager' on the checkout desk the worn tired faded fraying towel...she just picked it up and tried to hide it saying 'YES (she shouted)...its the end of the season and all the good towels have been stolen...(This is the best bit)...and if we put our new towels out they will get stolen again...and anyway, I upgraded you to a better room (we weren't told this at check in and we are still confused as to how an upgrade can compensate for the towel situation)...I queried this...and the Manager shouted again that 'I upgraded you so that I don't have my staff running from the front to the back of the hotel'...So, it wasn't an upgrade to help the customer, it was to help her manage her staff...(It gets better)...I then mentioned the problem with the sink plug hole....At this the Manager lost it completely...She SCREAMED...'WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO MY SINK...MY ROOM...WHAT HAVE YOU DONE...?' as she bounded up the stairs 2 at a time...everyone in the breakfast area stopped eating and looked at us if we were guilty of mass destruction...one man came over and asked 'What have you done ??'...Manager, slightly calmer came back down and tried to take us into the breakfast room (as if nothing had happened)...we politely declined and took our breakfast across the road...at half the price. Will we go back, possibly, as long as Mrs Shouty has gone.

The hotel has been beautifully restored, inside very modern and tasteful! The name is a bit misleading, the hotel is ideal for holidaymakers, central, quiet location and ample parking!

Beautiful, quiet hotel with pkg and elevator. Obviously appreciated by the majority Italian clientele during our short stay (April 22/23). The staff is very helpful and pleasant, as is our room (27) with its small separate TV lounge. Beautiful bathroom and separate toilet too. Finally, we also enjoyed the very varied breakfast in the pleasant dining room overlooking the swimming pool (no other restaurant on site, but the reception very well advised us where to go for dinner, a few steps away). I recommend this establishment.

I will start for the negative points of the hotel, no air conditioning we suffered the first days in the evening we fell asleep with heat around 25-26 degrees. The beds are good but smell more I have not spent very good nights either, the towels are horrible they hurt the skin and the pressure of the shower not phew. On the other hand, the location of the hotel is excellent and they speak several languages, which is a positive point. The hotel breakfast is divine which explains my 4/5 only 12€ and everything is homemade a treat! Not missing much to make this hotel perfect 👍🏻

Very nice hotel in which we stayed with our two daughters, it is located in the center of Castellane with a breathtaking view of the RoC. The rooms have been tastefully renovated, the breakfast is of excellent quality with a lot of choice, the staff very pleasant. The climate of Castellane despite the heat wave requires a blanket for the night. We highly recommend staying at this beautiful place.

Very nice establishment, quiet. Pleasant swimming pool area. The rooms are beautifully redone, breakfast made up of fresh, extra products. The air conditioning is not working despite the heatwave outside. The staff is top notch. I highly recommend this establishment.

Halte lors de notre road trip moto. Top, un seul regret ne pas y être restés 2 nuits 😂. Chambre extra, piscine extra, personnel extra, conseils extras, pdj extra ! La petite ville est sympa, les gorges toute proche. C'est un super emplacement.

Hôtel de charme, à l’allure ancienne et a la modernité en intérieur ! Piscine avec vue sur les montagnes. Bar à dispo. Les chambres sont confortables. Nous n’y passons qu’une nuit mais nous sommes ravies de notre choix. Placement impeccable en plein centre. On est en pleine nature et on en prend plein les yeux.
