Our stay here was part of a package with Air Transat. We arrived Friday and spent 3 nights here before heading to Decameron, Baru, for 11 nights. The hotel is very close to the "walled city" , which has so much history and a must if you stay in Cartegena. The hotel was a bit worn as far as rooms go with very loud air conditioning. Our friends complained of the same, so bring ear plugs. The beach is located right across the street. Food was very satisfying, with most of the same selection for breakfast and lunches. Dinner reservations are done on a mobile app, which is great. There are w bars, but not open at the same time, so getting drinks during the day means long lines and wet conditions at the pool bar. Also, the only restroom other than going to your room is by the pool. The highlight of our stay was Carlos Miranda! He was so helpful, especially if your Spanish is rusty or you don't speak it at all. We would come back just to see him!

Where do I start, I dont even want to give any stars to this hotel. My husband and and I were at this hotel for our honeymoon just recently. This trip was given to us as a wedding gift and I feel that it was a waste of money. The overall experience we had was horrible, starting from the staff to the food. The staff were not friendly at all, every time you went to ask for anything they looked at us like we were a bother. This hotel is supposed to be an all inclusive, but the food was horrible. We had to eat out most of our stay. The rooms are old and there is no air conditioning, there is construction going on at this time making the whole experience even worse. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Please don't waste your money.

This hotel looks like a hotel from the 80’s everything is old out of date, ac did not work , will not stay there again , reservation was for 3 nights , ran away next day. Forget it. Do not even try. I did made a reservation at hyatt hotel 2 blocks from decameron. For the same price. No food included but worth every penny

The hotel’s installations are regular, anything to good. The attention is regular, the people have to make lines for everything (to take a place in the beach, to make a appointment for a restaurant or trip plan, etc.) Their staff don’t care about the uncomfortable experience. In past years the food used to be really nice, but now is to regular, you can find really good food outside the hotel, but here you eat food very averagely.

Terrible place to have fun, no really feel amazing because the place is older and they don't have service room, and the aire conditioner is really terrible don't work and they don't fixed and honestly I don't like too eat the dinner out in the poll that's not good. I pay a lot of money and I never back to this hotel.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would! After we arrived to our room after a less than efficient check in process, we discovered the shower stall smelled of urine. We called the front desk & were told housekeeping would come up to clean as they were all booked that night & could not switch us to another room. I did not believe this to be true but agreed. The housekeeper came in & agreed she too smelled urine: STRIKE 1. STRIKE 2: there was no ventilation in the bathroom & the ceiling had black mold on it. I meant to take pictures to post but unfortunately forgot. STRIKE 3: I asked to speak with the manager on more than 1 occasion to discuss these issues with him, and was continuously told by a front desk staff member named Carlos, that he was in meetings. I would NEVER recommend this place nor ever stay here or likely any other Decameron based on this experience. Aside from proximity to the airport & being located across the street from the beach, this place has nothing to offer. I will also say the food service staff was very friendly, the front desk staff however was not. AVOID THIS PLACE & TAKE YOU MONEY ELSEWHERE!!

Totally disappointed, dirty the facilities, the room with a lot of dust on the bed rails, mediocre the toilet, the checking on a lame table, disorder, dirt, not even a glass of water we could have at the entrance, the service at eleven was not ready, the one who served us with mocking laughter, we feel that they are tired of serving the public, of bad people, as they have already paid, they must submit to what there is, to your time, to availability, it is not true that at 3pm is the check it is subject from that time to be vacated, we had paid for 5 double rooms, the last one was delivered to us at 4 and 30pm., make the reservation for the food by QR for people of the third age impossible, the restaurant in the historic center there is no room, they said that there was an event on the night of the 80s they canceled it, There was a dance one the other night and they changed it to a children's one without warning, the tiny event room. If they are remodeling they should inform before it is bought, they make the holidays bitter, the restaurant on the floor with food, with dirty nitrile gloves underneath, they almost do not lend the wheelchair, but they do inform where to pay to rent them, there is no regard for the elderly, my father waited from 11am when we arrived until 4 when they gave the room sitting on a plastic chair. When we booked they said yes to everything, yes to the wheelchair easy, that they did give priority to the elderly, but the reality is different, not a glass of water, it is not worth what is canceled, very small pool, only with the help of an employee named Carlos we managed to make some changes, the hotel is not nice, it is rather a cheap hotel, I do not recommend it at all, We had very sad and negative experiences. We were in the last week of January 2024, this is recent, it's overrated, they are not interested in the well-being of people, we met with our family, after 8 years without seeing us, they came from Australia and it was painful, dirty, leaving a very bad impression of what the hotel industry is in Colombia, Decamerón Cartagena does not provide good service, terrible facilities, totally overrated.

pillows and beds were comfortable. However, the employees need to learn English in order to attract less local customers. Nobody could help the foreign travelers at check-in and check out . All you keep hearing was "No English." Besides the language barrier, the construction being held in the area made it difficult to circulate with heavy traffic & dirty streets.

The hotel isn’t to people with desabilities, only one bathroom to all. The reception staff isn’t friendly. The beach tents are served by people who are paid additionally for everything. The meals are nice, the bedrooms is big. Cartagena is beatifull!
