Bergsicht Country Farm Cottages

Such and amazing place. Excellent views and location. Room was clean and cozy. Best part was the hottub. Will definitely be back!

Bergsicht is on a fruit farm a few kms outside of Tulbagh. It is easy to find. The road in is short and in good condition. There are a few cottages in a row along a farm road. Each is private from the other by trees. We stayed in lady red. This cottage is quite tree covered so a limited outlook to the mountains. If you wanted more of an open outlook then choose one of the other cottages. The hot tub was on the deck and nice and private. It takes 4 hours to heat up the water in the tub. We did find the fire box very smoky so shut the doors and windows to keep the smoke out of the cottage. The amenities were excellent. Very peaceful. There is not much in the way of food in Tulbagh so bring what you want with you. Great wine farms in the area.

We absolutely love this gem of a place. A quiet and peaceful getaway with breathtaking views. The hot tub was the cherry on top over looking the mountains and farm. The bed was great, and the cottage had everything you needed . We will definitely be back.

The cottage we stayed in was my ideal type of place. It had all the appliances one needed, an awesome hot pool with a gorgeous view. We thoroughly enjoyed watching the birdlife around the cottage. We didn't see the host but everything was well organized.

It was once again amazing. Quiet and soulful. I will always book at Bergsicht country cottage. The people are wonderful. Everything you need is there and if you bring your own groceries etc there is no need to go.anywhere.

We really enjoyed our stay, the cottage has fantastic views and it is super quiet and just absolutely lovely. The self check in die went smoothly and after a long, hot day in the car, I honestly didn't feel like seeing people, so it was great that we were able to check ourselves in. We ordered a picnic add on to the accommodation and I was stunned by the amount of effort put into the picnic food! The cottage had a wonderful wood fired hot tub and the hot tub and braais was already stacked with wood and fire lighters. The cottage provides absolutely everything you may need, even natural fynbos insect repellant. We drove on the piece of dirt road with a pretty low Polo and it was completely fine, so it should be accessible to just about any car. We will definitely be back! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

We feel in love with the cottage as soon as we arrived. The quality of everything and the attention to detail is not missed. I only wish there was consideration to a very late check in (15h00) and a super early check out (10h00) - that’s a lot of hours lost. We also were not aware that it was a working farm, so booking dates during the week means workers and trackers from 8am to 4pm ;( Other than that feedback, we would highly reccomend staying at the outpost 🫶🏻

We stayed at Laeticia Cottage for 2 nights for our anniversary! Picture Perfect and so relaxing! Everything was as pictured and service was smooth and easy! Can't wait to return for the Outpost! Was memorable and everything we have hoped for!

I chose this place for my honeymoon and even extended it for another 2 days because we liked being here so much. We were a bit disappointed that the rose petals were white instead of red but other than that it was a great experience! Highly recommend!
