Hotel Las Arenas

Extremely nice hotel in perfect location for a short break. Rooftop terrace and pool has amazing views of Can Pastilla and the surrounding beaches. Very large room and good breakfast.

The hotel has a great location. Beautiful view from the terrace and rooms. Clean and the service is very friendly. A large selection of dishes for breakfast and dinner. They were able to take care of gluten-free people. I missed shampoo, conditioner or balm in the rooms. This should be standard.

Lovely Hotel in a nice area, rooms are basic small but very clean. Would have been nice to have a kettle. Breakfast was nice, same every day. Be very careful of Romanian Pick Pockets. Got my purse stolen from my Bag pack . Apparently they work in gangs around that area.

Hotel is perfectly suited in a nice quiet area with amazing views of the sea. We had paid extra to be at the front of thr hotel and facing the sea. On arrival we had to ask to be moved as the receptionist originally tried to put us in a room at the side of thr hotel. The room also wasn't what was advertised pictorially on the official website and on the email received at the time of booking, and a huge disappointment. The room looked quite bit, in reality it was a tiny room and something I would not have booked. Too small, to cramped and insufficient storage space. Also no kettle in the room. On a plus it was immaculate and clean. The food was also a major disappointment. I had Paella and fish 5 days in a row. Very limited choice, incredibly small portions, pre plated food for starters and deserts. Also very difficult to plate food because of the glass screens. We asked a chef about what type of cake he had and he said he didn't know!! The service was also slow, and often asked if we wanted a drink towards the end of our meal!! Some of the food was cold and the soup I had was devoid of flavour. Wouldn't go back and need to up their game for a 4 star hotel.

Great Boutique hotel with swimming pools on the roof and beautiful view. Very good food, amazing, very good quality and service on high level. Safety and comfort inside. Rooms for couple enough. Try too book rooms from sea side. East access to city center, many walking places, beach just in front with sand.

I would have given this 5 stars except for a few minor things; the guy at the front desk when we checked in took an instant dislike to me, we arrived straight after our flight at 1 from Madrid, hot and sweaty, he said we’d have to wait til 2, he went off for a break, and his colleague immediately said we could have our room so I don’t know what that was about, just no need for that, I’ve also never been to an hotel where the beach towels you have to pay to get a clean one, a deposit yes, but not pay 10€ to have a clean one, may as well buy one in the shops. We never got a sunbed whilst we were there, the usual lot who save them, makes it unfair on everyone, the deck chairs at the front we used and went to the beach too. Our last day was ruined by a load of Germans taking over the pool, badly behaved, glasses in the pool, their own speakers etc, no one did anything, I don’t think there should be glass around the pool anyway. The hotel was in a great location by the airport, quiet in general, great restaurants close by, nice breakfast, in main the staff were great apart from the young reception lad, clean modern room with everything you need, right on the beach too.

A friend and I stayed half board for a week in single rooms, next door to each other. Our rooms were clean and functional with a side sea view from the balcony. The beds were comfortable, the showers powerful and the small fridge was useful. Reception staff ensured we had dinner after a late afternoon flight out and were always friendly, informative and generally helpful. Dining room staff were amazingly smiley and welcoming, ensuring that drinks were poured, used plates removed, tables sanitised and relaid at a swift rate. Cleaning staff were similarly hard working and friendly, though rarely visible! Breakfast catered to all tastes, always freshly made pancakes, eggs etc and a wide variety of fruit. (Also, oddly, sprouts alongside other veg!?) Coffee from machines wasn't brilliant but that's probably our only criticism. Dinner also offered lots of choices, from fish, poultry, meat and vegetarian options (including veggie paella) to salads and a range of vegetables. Desserts (always with a fresh fruit option) were varied and enticing and cheeses on offer were interesting. We didn't really use the pool areas much, but agree that the views from the top pools were wonderful. The area itself is great and very clean and we did a lot of walking along the footpaths by the sea towards both Arenal and Palma. Lots of coffee or juice stops especially towards Arenal and rather repetitive clothing shops to browse. On arrival we took the A2 bus from the airport to near the hotel (€5) and another day bus 35 into Palma (€2). We booked a trip online via train to Soller, tram to Port Soller and boat to San Calobre (€57) which was an excellent way to visit lovely places in Mallorca. The hotel booked us a taxi back to the airport (€18). All in all a brilliant holiday in a clean, well run hotel with lovely staff in an interesting area.
