New star Z hotel is located in a quiet side of the area but we were facing a school, which made the morning a bit of a nightmare to sleep in.
The room was big and overall the stay was good. It has a good design (glass window for the shower for instance) but lacks finition. It didn’t look so clean but after inspection, we realised it was also due to the design. Breakfast was good.

I had a sitting room, bedroom and bathroom. Everything including floors, beds and bed linen, the bathroom, toilet and shower, was super clean. The shower has good water pressure. The bed was very firm.. Everything worked. The location is really good.
You don't feel like you're staying in a modern 5 star hotel, but for the money this is a very good hotel.

A very bed room. The quilt was dirty and the hotel should not be characterized as a 3-star hotel.

We stayed at the hotel in early April for 5 nights. We booked a two-room suite for two adults and a 9-year-old child. The room is large, each room is equipped with air conditioning. Shower gels and shampoos were given out once on the first day, but I think they would bring more if you asked (we just had our own). The hotel was quiet, we didn't hear our neighbors (3rd floor). Breakfasts are normal, you won't go hungry, but don't count on normal coffee) The staff is friendly.
The location of the hotel is excellent: Zamalek is probably the best area of Cairo. There are several small shops, a pharmacy, and many places to have dinner nearby. In the evenings, we had a great time walking around the area.
The metro station is very close, which we used all the time.

The sanitation is really not good, it's just so-so. The mattress is different in each room, and the soft one makes my back and waist ache. I feel very tired after a night's sleep. The most important thing is to look at the pictures. The hair on the pillow and in the quilt broke my psychological defense. The bathroom is also not hygienic. I asked for an extra quilt but only got the quilt core. The pilling is serious, especially with many black pills. It's very depressing. Facilities: old. Sanitation: poor.
