Pros: Great location as it's located at the city center. Good size double room. Has a fridge. The staff who checked us in was friendly & informative. Nice seats at the lobby. Safe to store your luggage in. Has a security guard. Cons: They uploaded a pool pic but this branch actually doesn't have one. The aircon's placement was far from our bed so it still felt really warm in our room. We thought it's just because Butuan's summer time has reached 41C but we moved to another hotel and their AC does the job. No elevator so it's quite a climb if you're on the higher floor. Breakfast was horrible. Small portion. The rice was very soggy, egg was very runny, & corned beef was cheap. Jollibee's breakfast meal tasted better & cheaper for the same menu. The management has no sense of urgency. We asked Trip.com if we could check out early & get refunded to which they contacted this hotel right away. They then informed us to wait the next day for their supervisor's decision. That time came and the next reply was to wait until the evening. We just decided not to cancel as it was taking too long and we already needed an answer. They could have said a straight out no so that we didn't have to wait. We felt they just dragged because they don't want to give a refund. Luckily, we booked our nights for such a good price so we don't feel too bad. Had we booked this at full price, it wouldn't have been worth it.
