Hotel Malleberg

A small boutique hotel in a fantastic location. Just a few steps away from Burg Square, the location allows you to explore all Bruges tourist attractions on foot. Our 2nd floor room was very specious with a high ceiling. Ample space to keep our luggage and had tea coffee arrangement. Attached bathroom with shower cubicle was on the smaller side but big enough for our needs. The entire hotel was really clean and well kept. Our bed was large and comfortable. Even though Bruges was experiencing unusually cold weather, the room heaters, both in bedroom and toilet, worked perfectly. The hotel provided basic toiletries. Since the hotel is located in a old traditional Bruges building, staircase was steep and narrow but the hotel helped us with our luggage. Nonetheless, people with difficulties in climbing stairs should ask for 1st floor rooms. The hotel is managed by a couple, both of whom were friendly, professional and helpful. Our room rate included breakfast, which was basic with limited options but quality was nice and gets served at the basement room. The hotel does not have a restaurant but there are a lot of restaurants nearby including one next door so food was not a problem for us. The hotel still uses traditional keys for the room doors and the same key opens the 2 front doors, which guests needs to do since the reception is only manned when necessary. Overall we had a great time and do not hesitate to recommend.

The location was excellent - a very short walk to the Burg and just a little longer one to the Markt. Very manageable walking distance to the sites of interest to visitors. There is a city shuttle to the train station which wasn't available when I left because of the bicycle race. The hotel is lovely and charming on the exterior and interior. The hosts are welcoming, friendly, helpful with both history, sight seeing, and local transportation. The room was well stocked. There were ceramic cups for coffee and tea and real spoons not stirrers! I had one breakfast with breads, yogurt, boiled egg, meat, and cheese. Next door is a good bar/restaurant for Flemish specialties among other items. FYI There is no elevator.

Fantastic location! The hotel is only 25 min walk from the train station and 5 min walk to the main square. It is located in a quiet street and Plenty of restaurants and pubs nearby. The owner is super friendly and the breakfast was ok. The room was spacious and very clean. Definitely we recommend this beautiful hotel.

Wonderful, cozy hotel in the heart of Bruges. No elevator and steep stairs. Very quiet and clean. Friendly staff. Lounge and breakfast room in the basement. Seating on a small patio is available in summer. The hotel is in walking distance of the main attractions.

Four of us stayed in a mini apartment, it was a beautiful location as well as a lovely hotel. The location was fantastic and accessible to all the markets, shops and museums. Malleberg has on of the oldest and cosiest of breakfast restaurants as well as super hosts.

Really friendly and helpful owners. Great value and position. Breakfast good coffee nice. Boiled egg only hot option but is cheese hams grapes/ blueberry’s. Yogurts cereal bread and croissant so a good selection

Beautiful property, large rooms. Adequate (free) breakfast. ******* says there is onsite parking, there is NOT. Hotel website specified that there is no onsite parking, ******* need to amend its page.

4 of us stayed here (2 rooms) for a weekend break. We chose this hotel because of its central location. It is only a short walk to the city squares and all shops, boat trips, museums etc. We received a friendly welcome from the owner when we arrived. Rooms were clean, bed comfortable, good shower room and everything worked. Breakfast was served in the cellar room which had interesting old brickwork, very good continental selection with 4 different breads, croissants, cheese, meats, fruit and yoghurts. One item to note, if you want a boiled egg, let the timer run 8 minutes. Owner kindly let us leave our cases in the hotel for a few hours after checkout. If we return to Bruges would certainly stay here again.

Very good location, quiet and near the center of town. Very walkable to many restaurants, shops, and sites. Helpful inn keeper with good advice about the tourist town!
