Chors Like a Hotel - Hostel

Absolutely loved this place and very much recommend it. I booked a bottom bunk in a 4 bed room. Everyone was very respectful and quiet in the room. The capsule itself is lovely and had everything I needed. The bed, pillows, duvet were all so comfortable that I ended up taking an later train the following morning just to enjoy them an extra hour. The room itself had plenty of space and also furniture if you wanted to be out of your own space. Chor had a lovely lounge/common area, and very helpful staff. There was a kitchen area available if needed. The bathroom - including the showers and loos - were to a very high standard and very clean (as was everything). Location - perfect for getting everywhere including the tram to the main station if you didn't want to walk - not far to walk either. Supermarket 1 min, and plenty of shops nearby as well as places to eat. Breakfast - if I had had more time, I would have taken the breakfast there. Would happily stay here again

Booked NFT block (single large capsule with shared bathroom), and it exceeded my expectations. No need to climb into the capsule on your four - very clean and spacious. Good wi-fi, tasty breakfast. I would only recommend shifting the check-out hours at least to 11am - 10am is relatively early.

I stayed in May 2023. Kitchen, bathroom and lounge areas are to a really high standard. Staff are very helpful. The hostel is a 15 minute walk from the main train station, a 5 minute walk from Bratislava Old Town and from a decently sized Tescos in Spitalska for those self-catering. I slept in an upper cubicle which I found very hot and unventilated and being in the front room was subject to late night street noise. There is no 'community'. Would I stay again? Definitely yes but only in a bottom cubicle.

I would never stay here again. The fact that they offer free ear plugs at check-in was a huge red flag. I booked a single room and you can hear everything. Doors slam, people taking in other rooms. People walking in the corridors. It’s all loud. My first day there the cleaning crew walked into my room unannounced. Let’s luckily I just got dressed. Two out of the four days I was there the water was shut off from 11:00am-2:00pm. The internet connection is terrible. It kept cutting out so if you work remotely like I do it’s not sufficient to do your job. The price may be enticing but it’s not worth it. Negative five stars.

I was travelling in a group and checking in was easy and efficient. The girl on reception, Nina was really helpful and friendly. The rooms were very clean and the pod was perfect with a large locker within. The shower and toilet areas were also spotless and allowed privacy. I decided to stay an extra night while my group moved on and Nina on reception organised it in minutes for me. The hostel has 24 hour reception and Peter was so nice and friendly behind the bar. Breakfast was super and beautifully laid out in the restaurant. Chors is central and all the sights of the old town are just a ramble away. I felt completely safe on the premises and in the city as a mature solo traveller. Chors is definitely like a hotel

I booked this hostel in a single private room. I turned up to this hostel as I’m a young female traveller and this hostel had mainly men which made me feel a little uncomfortable. When I got to my room, the door to get into the room wasn’t a proper door, it was more like a bathroom stall door and I didn’t feel safe or comfortable in the room. Although it had a lock, it didn’t feel like it’d be hard to push the door in. The walls were also paper thin, if I could hear the people walking in the hallway and coughing, which meant during the night I’d be able to hear everyone snoring in the rooms around me. I made the decision to check out and stay somewhere else. When leaving the room, I couldn’t even get the door to latch shut, which confirmed to me I’d made the right decision. I reached out to the hostel via email to explain how I felt and asked if it was possible for a refund. The hostel never replied to my email and ignored my request. No reply at all. The rooms did look like the photos on the website and was clean. But definitely didn’t have the luxury vibe that they promised on the website.

Great place, simultaneously social and private. Loved the rooms, with shared spaces plus private pod-like areas. This was the perfect respite as an introvert backpacking and gave me a chance to feel like I had my own space whilst still meeting others. Whole place, including reception and café was beautiful and clean. Wish there were more places like this
