I came to this B&B on a Shenandoah Valley fall foliage weekend getaway. The staff were very helpful from the moment I pulled into the parking lot, even helping to carry luggage to my room. The grounds were nicely decorated for the fall holiday, and the room was charming. I loved the fireplace and the sitting chairs in front of it. The hardwood floors and yellow palette of the room made for a great French countryside theme. The bed was probably one of the most comfortable hotel beds that I’ve ever slept in, and the in-room selection of coffees and teas were great. The adjustable AC unit was also most appreciated on an 80-degree October day. 100% would come again in the summer to enjoy the grounds and pool.

If you’re looking for a high end superior Bed & Breakfast…LOOK NO FURTHER! My wife and I spent 3 nights at L’Auberge Provencale for our anniversary and were blown away. Our room was perfect for a weekend getaway away with a king bed, a sitting room, a porch and best of all a steam shower! The property is beautiful and has lots of open space. While the exterior isn’t anything special due to the age, the interior is super well maintained and beautifully decorated. And beyond the facilities, the staff was amazing!!! They treated us like royalty; like we were the only people there which we were not. Can’t say enough about the staff!!!!

What a disappointment. Our room was fair at best. The bed was extremely uncomfortable. The walls are thin and we spent the night Listening to couples in the rooms nextdoor. Odd decor, small TV, dirty floors, and strange bathroom. The food... We ordered food to our room. The meat was way under cooked. Didn't bring our drinks, and was over $110 for 2 burgers and fries. They were kind enough to refund our dinner. Bottom line, this was not a pleasant experience. The day after we were tired from the noise all night, hungry from a terrible dinner, and achy from an uncomfortable bed. Oh...and out $400 for this experience. We won't be back.

From the moment we drove onto the property, we were smitten with the beauty of the gardens at L'Auberge. This slice of France in the middle of Northern Virginia's wine country was a gift we didn't expect. Emily welcomed us as if we were longtime friends and kindly announced our room #8 Mistral was ready. The lovely space was elegantly decorated and had everything we needed, including a mini refrigerator, coffee maker, and wine opener ;-) The plush bedding and linens we an added treat. As we strolled the grounds, we were reminded of our time in M****illes. Colorful flowers and herbs dot the landscape at every turn; apple trees line the expansive lawn; and the vegetable garden is a treat to traipse through. We had a chance to chat with Trenton about the detail that goes into maintaining the property, which was quite impressive. It's no wonder L'auberge has won several "best of" culinary awards because the food is exceptional. Our dinner selections included the wood-fired pizza and the mussels. For breakfast, we enjoyed French toast and spinach quiche. Grace, our server was a pleasure each day. With an extensive wine list and full bar, you could remain on property for days and indulge in the food and drink while relaxing in luxury. We had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Alain, who was a joy to chat with. He was welcoming and warm with his insights into local history and happenings. With this first-time remarkable experience, we are certain we will return to L'auberge Provençal soon.

This B&B is not far from I-83 and near Winchester, VA so my wife and I decided to break up our trip and stay the night. Loved it! The owners have had the property for over 40 years. He was born in France and she in the US, and together they've made this historic place a dream, with gardens and flowers and fruit trees all on the property. We'll definitely be back. Here are a few tips: The breakfast is first class and chef-prepared with fresh ingredients. Their restaurant promises to be outstanding as well, but we were unable to try it since they are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. The website mentions mountain views, and while that's true they are in the distance and sometimes obscured by weather, so don't get your expectations high. There is a road (rte. 340) that passes in front of the inn and during the day there is some traffic going by. At night, things are very quiet and we had no problems either day or night. But if you're sensitive, you may want to ask for a room that's not in front.

Always know that Lauberge is going to be a great meal. Did the Chefs Tasting tonight and was blow away. Their new chef knocked it out of the park. Food was amazing and so was the service, James, Timmy, Rutlage and Drew make sure we always had we needed and it was a great experience. Usually for for the bistro/ bar menu but thought the tasting would be a fun change. Every course was fresh flavorful perfect. Highly recommend.

L'Auberge Provencale is the perfect place for a couple's get-away from the city (or your kids) for a couple of nights. The rooms are large and beautiful. Our favorite is #7 upstairs in the main house. It has high ceilings and a large separate sitting room, as well as a private outdoor deck with a table and chairs so you can dine outdoors in warmer weather...the perfect spot to eat your in-room breakfast (included in the room price). The little things make a big difference, including a multi-port device charger will all the cords, a corkscrew, yoga mat, filled ice bucket, Keurig, refrigerator, and a "real" hairdryer. Relax in the aromatherapy steam shower. The restaurant is outstanding with an extensive wine list. The varied menu works for a casual meal in the bar, as well as a special occasion in the main restaurant. Venture out for a walk through historic Old Town Winchester, a movie and meal at the Alamo Draft House, or a performance at the world-class Shenandoah University Conservatory. It is also just a couple of miles from the Virginia State Arboretum, a great setting for a picnic (which you can order ahead from the inn).

We recently stayed at L’Auberge for our 30th Anniversary. When we were married 30 years ago we spent the first night of our honeymoon here and we were fortunate enough to stay in the very same room. The room was very cozy, comfortable and had a romantic fireplace to boot! Everything was so perfect for our stay. We had dinner in the Bistro and were joined by some local friends! Everything we ate was so delicious and beautiful! The staff worked so hard to make sure our visit was perfect! Special thanks to the chef Sarah for all the extra special touches and also a shout out to Drew who makes the BEST dirty martinis! We truly love hanging out and staying here. Breakfast the next morning was equally as delicious! You don’t need to wait for a special occasion either. I actually love hanging out in the Bistro/ Bar area. The drinks and wine selections are definitely some of the best around and you will definitely be impressed with the food! Thanks for always providing such a wonderful experience!

I stayed here for my birthday in the Lafayette suite and had dinner with my dad and sister. The entire night was amazing. We started with a drink on the suite's balcony overlooking the gorgeous countryside. Then we got to enjoy dinner on the patio (first come first served). The staff throughout were fun, friendly and knowledgeable. Every bite of food was delicious, and the drinks... We all got different beverages and took a sip of the others. Regrettably not a fan of margaritas but their French margarita? Yum. Dirty Martini done just right, great house wines and draft beer. Also have dined here with my daughter and brother and had the same experience. So much to explore in the area as well which makes it a very memorable destination.
