Very cool, comfortable place, but since it's a motel, the mornings are noisy. Also, there was no shampoo (good thing to know ahead of time).

The room was spacious and very clean. Check in was super easy. It is an older “motor court” motel” but appeared to be updated with fresh paint and carpet. Plus you can park right outside your room. We had scheduled a VRBO that canceled at the last minute so this was a lifesaver!

I guess when the site says PET FRIENDLY, The Sands does not include CATS. We specifically booked here so we had a place for our beautiful calico cat. Nope, she had to sleep in the van. THERE WAS NOTHING ON THE SITE TO EXCLUDE CATS.
