City Hotel Biel Bienne Free Parking

The breakfast is plentiful, with more varieties, and there is a parking lot. The double bed room is a combination of two double beds. It can’t be lying in the middle. It has a hot pot, which is in line with Chinese habits. Some rooms also have a balcony. It is within walking distance of the lake next to it and 20 minutes’ walk from the Omega Museum. About 5 minutes walk from the railway station.

We had a wonderful stay here at the Mercure in Biel. Check in was fast. Room and Hotel was spotless clean. Aircondition worked great. Bathroom with showergel, shampoo, liquid soap. Unfortunately we did not have time to check out the fitness and sauna on the 6th floor. 24h Reception is great. Free coffee and water a great plus. Matrass was a bit hard, but we did not mind. Would choose is definitly again.

But is it really a four stars? ! ? There is nothing to make you think: old structure, doors of rooms with defected locks, gentle but unprofessional staff, at the reception there is always a poster with the word “I'm not in reception, call this number if you need Something,” little breakfast and little variety, but mostly I've never seen a 4 star without 24h reception service!!! I arrived at 00:30 at night and I had to call 8 times a number to find someone who made me enter the hotel. It's not a 4 stars, and the only thing that separates it from a 2 stars is that it has a bathroom in the room.
Hotel Dufour

It is in a great position compared to the old town, close to the municipal parking, not a panoramic position and has not been renovated in style but rooms are spacious, clean and staff friendly. The management is Indian and they told me that the restaurant, the Indian, is very good, and I was unfortunately unable to prove it. On the restaurant and what other reviews contain, I personally have not experienced the problem of kitchen smell in the rooms.
