Fredy's Bungalow Near Nainital

Fredys Bungalow combines old world charm with modern amenities. Very peaceful and green surroundings. Birds and wildlife abound.Great walks. Excellent food and extremely helpful staff. My wife and I had a wonderful stay. Couldn’t ask for more !

The property is extremely beautiful, it has the rugged wood architecture and a huge lawn space which is all so well maintained especially the common area.. we spent most of the time sitting outside and looking out the several windows. The staff is extremely accommodating and welcoming and the food is awesome, they take care of you so well and that makes the stay even better

Amazing place and the hospitality by Gaurav, Govind, ***oj, Prakash and last not but the least Chef Kedar were exceptional. Personalised and warm service. Lovely hiking treks and beautiful birding close by. Food was home style and cooked to our taste.

A beautiful heritage lodge built by Mr Fredy just a short 2 km uphill drive to the bungalow set amidst Oak, Pine and Deodhar forest . The place is pristine and since a bit away from the busy roads , almost without any noise pollution. Small 4 room bungalow kept in its most pristine condition. The people who own and ***age the property make one’s stay comfortable and memorable. The kitchen dishes out wholesome and tasty home cooked meals. And the menu keeps changing everyday , so now way to get bored of the food . Right from Punjabi to Kumaoni cuisine. It’s the kind of place that can make one so comfortable that leaving the place will take some effort. Being nature and wildlife enthusiast the forested trail adjacent to the property is a delight. With a bustling bird activity and intermittent alarm calls of the barking deer add to the experience. The team behind Fredy's will arrange for nature walks and picnic. The walk down Sattal Road one can spot numerous common and not so common birds. The short hike up to the View point for a picnic was the icing on the cake. Very thoughtful and taking of all guest needs Being in the hills during the peak winter months , we felt the place should invest in some good and effective heating. Also up the bedding , bathroom and add some modern touches. While retaining its old world charm. The central reservation office does tend to share wrong information . Like whether it’s a queen bed vs twin beds. Better to be transparent than painting a different picture of the property. Kudos to Gaurav , Govind , Ashok and the team who ensured we had a memorable stay. Would love to come back in the near future. Possibly during the spring.

We really enjoyed our stay in this property, it’s a beautiful property with old world charm , staffs are very nice , Gaurav takes care of every little things that’s needed and Govind served us with some very delicious food with lots of love .we loved the colonial architecture

The house has an old world charm. It is very well maintained and clean. It was quiet and peaceful and one could only hear birds chirping. The food was homely and very tasty and the staff was very polite, efficient and bending backwards to please the guests. We would love to visit again.

Booking process was jittery,no way to contact d property even with a confirmed reservation nor d booking was communicatedto d team at d property.But d team at d property did their best to co****sate n they deserve a warm thanks from d heart.Great service. Still needs few improvements. Lighting of the room n living place needs more attention, reading lamps r placed in wrong orientation, plug points cud hv been placed nearer to d bed for betterment, a writing desk & pad was badly missed.d lawn n garden cud hv been more ***icured. D staffs r kind, cooperative, attentive n generous but probably constrained by resources as when ever I asked for extra water or juice dat came in plastic bottles instead of glass jars which is an eye sore n not becoming of such a beautiful property. Food is awesom, a delicately balanced n perfected blend of hygiene, health n taste. A provision of binoculars,bicycles n birding field guide books for d guests is also something I must look forward to. N d nature walk ud hv been better with a professional birding guide. Will surely revisit if d booking hassle is sorted out.
