Good hotel Nice experience Excellent services Clear room :)

So we thought the re-vamped Sofitel maybe a place to try. We took a Queen room for €241 per night and stayed for four nights. They took the payments upfront and also another €400 in case we used the mini bar or hotel facilities (this wasn’t explained on check in). The theme is Prussia so lots of blue. The room was clean with good facilities, however there was half a wardrobe of hanging space and two high shelves. So no where really for socks, jumpers, underwear etc. I went to reception to ask why my check in costs were high and the receptionist then told about the charge. I then also fed back on the room and the receptionist was clear (and haughty) you have taken a Queen room (read cheap) and that was the designers choice. They did quickly respond to my comments on not enough coffee pods for us both to have the same strength. In all credit to housekeeping on day three an IKEA chest of drawers did appear in the room, this was a good effort but will not solve the design fault. On check out we ensured we asked for our monies back, and said it was unusual to charge in case we bought a drink. The second argumentative receptionist told us that he travelled a lot and this was the norm in Europe. So it’s a clean hotel, the area is under refurbishment. The offices on the inner square really do look in on the rooms. Housekeeping are great. Reception is not good with feedback. Not enough storage and ensure you have the capacity on your credit card for €50 a night a person. We’ll not be back but they did try with the chest of drawers - thank you for that

This hotel was especially busy during my week there, but the receptionists and waiters/waitresses were extremely helpful and responsive to all my questions. I. was very impressed with their knowledge, kindness. and positive attitudes. They truly were a wonderful plus to my week in. Berlin.

Modern, comfortable and perfectly situated, Hotel Luc was our home base for four days in Berlin. Instead of standing at a counter, guests are welcomed to sit in comfortable chairs and are offered a glass of champagne while registering. During this process, we found out that my wife had the same birthday as the delightful Sergio. What could have have been a sterile transaction was instead a lengthy and wonderful conversation. It was a good omen for our stay and indicative of the warmth of the hotel staff. The a la carte breakfast at the hotel restaurant, Heritage, was varied and superb. All of the staff are friendly and professional but a special shout out goes to Kim for her cheerful demeanor and a sense of humor that was the perfect start to each day. The bed was comfortable, the shower superb and the hotel design is both modern and plush. The people make it very special.

Beautiful hotel. Stayed in suite with balcony. Fantastic views of the French Cathedral and the Tv tower. Great location. Walking distance to check point Charlie, ice bar and shopping centre Tasty breakfast Nice spa area with sauna, steam room

I had a good feeling about this place even before I arrived. Previous reviews talked about the amazing breakfast (their a la carte style is excellent and the items are high quality and tasty) and the outstanding service. I could not agree more. If you like eclectic design elements, this is your hotel. The rooms are very well appointed and if you are lucky, your view will face the giant beautiful cathedral across the street. The location is walking distance to Checkpoint Charlie, museums and the Brandenburg Gate. All public transport is easily accessible. I wish I could hide this hotel for myself but I am going to send all my family and friends if they visit Berlin !!

Unfortunately not a 5* Hotel, it has a modern look, good location and friendly employees….but that’s it. A rating of 3+ maybe 4* would be more then fair. We arrived at 4pm, had to change the come as it didn’t had the confirmed furnishing and then had to wait almost 1.5h for the alternate room. Rooms are very noisy in the 1st and 2nd floor, you can here every car or even people outside the Hotel Bar talking and laughing. No info that there is a huge construction infront of the Hotel. A mobile heater was in the room, on our question if the regular heater or air-condition is not working we just received the answer: good question! A 5* Hotel should have a Turn-Down Service, after mentioning this, the employees unfortunately didn’t look at details or tried to find solutions for problems. Breakfast, it is fine that there is no buffet, but the quality and the presentation of the products you order is not close to a 5* level. It’s not a big Hotel, but they don‘t even have “fresh squeezed“ Orange juice…..only fresh juice out of a bottle, even if it‘s not that important. But small things make the difference. Overall a really disappointing stay that we decided to changed the Hotel after the 1st night. The managers apologized several times and confirmed that it was not their standard, otherwise there was nothing to encourage us to stay the second night. we got the bill and that was it.

Very nice Hotel at Gendarmenmarkt in Berlin. Good Location to visit East Part of Berlin. Very good reception with welcome drink. Very nice. Stayed at Junior Suite. The room ist spacious, very comfortable king bed. It is not really a business hotel, the desk isn’t good for working. The Bathroom was with shower an very small but modern. Breakfast ist served a la carte, very good, so food waste can be reduced. Dinner was very good with charming service. Gym is good, nice little Spa at the top of the hotel. Rooms to the Atrium are better if you sensitive to street noise.
