Shangri-La Golden Sands, Penang

It was a good move to upgrade to a seaview room upon checkin. The Mountain View that I had booked would have been overlooking the carpark and facing the mosque. It certainly was meant for family with kids. Unfortunately the beach has been eroded very badly. A simple walk through early in the morning by the staff would have avoided this mess in the first picture.

Everything is superb..my kids love this place..excellent choice of food and activities

It was our first time in Penang and we stayed here for 4 days and 4 nights. It's a nice place. But the toilet is old looking although we got the bathtub, we didn't soak. We just bathe as per normal. But the swimming area is the bomb!! We love it! And the sea and beach. Tried jetski and it was awesome! Around it, there's a lot of eateries as well!! We enjoyed going out to eat every single day! But the monkeys... There were monkeys around invading our balcony!! Had to lock our doors to avoid them from coming in. There's also a night market nearby along the road. Not too bad to bring home some good items.

Lovely hotel. Nearby a lot of eateries as well as the night market. Great breakfast spread and tastes good as well. Recommended 👍
