Staff were a little grumpy and room was a little old; carpet could have done with replacing. My room backed onto behind the building where apparently staff hung out or smoked, I heard a lot of loud conversations that I probably shouldn’t! Beds were comfy and they were fine with me bringing my cat, which was the main reason I chose it. Not terrible, not wonderful, did the job.

Excellent service from reception, to restaurant and bar and housekeeping. Very spacious and comfortable room.

We booked a superior king room for 2 adults and a child for 2 nights, redeemed a £125 night and still paid £198 and then arrived at 1 a.m., having told the hotel we would be this late to find thst we had a small double room with no extra bed. A put-u-up was put in quite quickly and we were upgraded for the second night, but feel that we overpaid fir whst we received.

We liked the way the hotel was laid out with a lovely central courtyard area to sit & have drinks etc. The only gripe we had was the breakfast buffet was not replenished very quickly & people were waiting for various foods to come out. It was busy, but not very slick!

The Hampshire Court Hotel is a really lovely venue. Our room was cosy and the bathroom beautiful. The bed was good with comfortable pillows.
Breakfast was one of the best we’ve had. Loved the selection available, and staff were attentive.
Few minor points:
I struggled to figure out how to use the bath as a bath and not a shower.
Changing and leisure areas it feels like a maze as it’s so big- you have to walk through the family pool room to get to the adults only pool. The facilities there are nice.
The breakfast station did run out of a lot of things as we got there… but they were filled up again. Just a little bit of waiting around.
On the whole, I’d definitely stay again.
