Economy rooms are literally like dens, it is not possible for someone with claustrophobia to stay there. Let me tell you about the fiasco we experienced: While I was lying alone in the room, the door suddenly opened. Two children jumped in. His parents followed him, and when they saw me, they were surprised and left the room without even apologizing. Then they started arguing noisily in front of my door. (- Our room was given to someone else, we were going to stay here etc.) Meanwhile, the hotel staff was also there. We experienced such an absurd event. Naturally, we lost our taste from the first day. Just for this reason, we cut short our 2-night stay and left the hotel 1 day early. At the entrance they said that breakfast was at 7 am. However, when we went at 7 o'clock on the day we were leaving, they said that breakfast did not start and would be ready at 8. Even though we stated that we would be leaving the hotel 1 day early, so we would have breakfast, they said we couldn't help. (Then we left saying damn it, just to avoid waiting another hour) Strangely enough, we left the hotel, which was paid in advance, 1 day early and dissatisfied, they will sell our room to someone else anyway. In such a situation, I think that resources should have been mobilized and help should have been provided. As a result, it was a stay that left us unsatisfied and uneasy.

Our stay had been pleasant from the time we checked in until we checked out. Although service was not perfect, the workers did everything they could to accommodate us (particularly the young girl with short black hair and piercing). HOWEVER, we regret to say that we were left with a very sour taste prior to our departure. Whilst checking out, the old man who always did the night shift told us we had a remaining of 700-800 turkish lira that was due for payment. We were shocked. He stated this was due to the eating the contents stocked in the fridge in our room . Unfortunately, it was disappointing to realise that rumours on people being scammed due to coming from abroad was very true. Because he had initially greeted us for our check-in, he should have made it an obligation to inform us of this policy, however he failed to inform us that the drinks and snacks were to be charged if eaten or renewed. Naturally, we were deceived to think it was part of the price we had prepaid for, which is why we were asking for the fridge to be restocked. We were left VERY disappointed and couldn't believe we considered leaving tips prior to this immoral and unethical action. We had even considered to stay here on our next visit, however will NEVER stay again!

When we checked in, we saw that the room's toilet was not cleaned at all. The only positive thing I can say is the staff as they were surely helpful. For them, being a family hotel means serving no alcohol. The region in general is a traditional spot for local travellers so this place is definitely overpriced with average room standards, below average beach and poor breakfast.

Akçay’da bayramda ailece çok güzel bir tatil geçirdik. Otelde bizlere yardımcı olan Sude hanım, Dilan hanım ve Uğur beye çok teşekkür ederim. Deniz kenarında kahvaltı yapmak da çok keyifliydi. Bundan sonra Akçay’daki adresimiz Room 23.

Deniz kenarında küçük ama iyi dizayn edilmiş bir otel. Konumu da oldukça iyi bir yerde, odamın penceresinden deniz manzarasını izlemek keyifliydi. Oda çok geniş olmasa da kısa konaklamalar için yeterli alan var. Otopark için otele çok yakın yerde kameralı bir alan var.
