Klein-Aus Vista Desert Horse Inn

Klein-Aus Vista was initially a stop along my route to Luderitz, however after arriving there I wished we had booked a longer stay. The staff is really helpful and extremely friendly. Breakfast is great, and the dinner buffet was also a treat. Would definitely recommend!

We enjoyed our one-night stay at Klein-Aus Vista. Beautiful surroundings, clean and comfortable room, good service and delicious food. We found all the written explanations (hikes, aircon, shower water etc.) to be very practical. Also, your information folder with the history of Aus and the lodge, local wildlife and plants, Lüderitz, etc. to be of particular interest (a small side note is that some of the information needs updating and editing). A suggestion for your lodge is to have shading for cars next to the rooms and also at the main parking. Perhaps local material like wood or thatch could be used for this. Also to let guests know that there are wild horses on the property which drink from the reservoir - we made this pleasant discovery by accident.

We stayed at the Desert Horse Campsite for 2 nights in a camper van. Was a lovely campsite to stay while we explored the area, we visited the Kolmanskop & Lüderitz which is an old diamond village (Ghost town) we had a lovely lunch there and went to see the wild horses although there was only one to be seen. On our return to the campsite it was a bit of a mess with bins being overturned by the baboons but as soon as we notified the security it was all tidied and put back to normal. We hiked the mountain not far from the campsite to watch the sun set, that was a spectacular sighting and something to remember, photographs were brilliant. The pool at the main reception area was lovely to sit around and cool off in the pool. Wish we had seen the chameleons that this place is known for but we were not so lucky. The ablutions were clean and well maintained

Excellent one night stay on our road trip in Namibia. Lovely welcome and good dinner and breakfast. Lots of choice for vegetarians Lovely and quiet location , very friendly and accommodating restaurant staff.. Wild horses of Luderitz are not far from here
