I have a lot to complain about regarding this place.
1. The hygiene was absolutely terrible — I found what appeared to be insects. (The first thing I do upon arriving anywhere I stay is turn on a flashlight and inspect the room and mattress, even in five-star hotels.) Since I arrived relatively late (after 9 PM) and this property offers no 24-hour service, I could only send photos to the owner via WhatsApp. But I was so terrified of insects that I simply could not stay in that room, and had to spend extra money on a hotel. I ended up going to the MGallery, which met my expectations for a proper star-rated hotel. One important note: upon entering the apartment, I left my suitcase right by the entrance — so the items visible in the attached photos (taken from the living room) could not have come from my luggage.
2. The next day, the property told me they would contact a professional company to determine whether the insects were bedbugs — but they didn't get back to me until the evening. So I had to pay for yet another hotel that day. This time I tried Gate Hotel, which has an excellent location, is slightly dated, but has good hygiene, service and fantastic rooftop bar/restaurant where you can see Acropolis.
3. I messaged the owner on the very first day, stating that the hygiene standard was unacceptable and requesting a full or partial refund. On the last day, the owner refused, citing a report from a pest control company that found no evidence of bedbugs or infestation. But frankly, that is simply their word — where is the evidence? Is there an actual written report from the professional company? They also emphasized that the room had been inspected prior to my arrival and was problem-free. How am I supposed to interpret that? Does it imply that I brought the filth in myself? This attitude toward handling complaints is deeply concerning.
4. The photos of this property are far more flattering than reality — the bathroom in particular is shockingly bare and run-down. The bedding, mattress, and other materials are also of appallingly poor quality.
5. If you are accustomed to staying in star-rated hotels, absolutely, absolutely, absolutely do not consider this place — it will be a disappointing choice. In that sense, the misjudgment was partly mine as well, as I lacked realistic expectations for this type of apartment.
In summary: not recommended.
