Club Hotel Aguamarina

Every year my mum, daughter (5) and I do a girls trip and we decided to book Menorca along with this hotel. Before booking I read the reviews and tried to see if there were any videos/reviews on tiktok and Instagram. The reviews didn't seem that bad and the location seemed OK so we booked. On arrival the front desk service was OK nothing special. When we got to our rooms I couldn't believe how small it was and for 3 of us to fit in there. We had hardly any room to move around. We had a room overlooking the pool and we could see the entertainment stage also which came in handy as my daughter does not tend to stay up late so watching the entertainment from the balcony worked for me. Let's talk food as someone who is a meat eater (apart from pork) I could not find anything for me to eat. The pizza was salty. The chicken had no seasoning. I don't eat seafood. My mum who is a vegetarian struggled also. I tried my daughter with their nuggets absolutely dreadful! The meat was grey and the vegetable soup was hideous. It was the most blandest thing I have ever tasted. The days to follow we just ate out because we couldn't stand the hotel food. The saving grace was the chips at the snack bar for lunch. The hotel grounds are filthy. The outside of our balcony had rubbish which was not cleaned the duration of our 7-night stay. I liked the fact that they had a children's playground but it was littered with rubbish and empty cups and even had shattered pieces of a cup in the play area and this was not cleaned up for 2 days. The children's pool I couldn't even fathom putting my child on, because it was caked in black mould or dirty whatever the case may be, it was disgusting. The chairs by the entertainment stage and sun loungers were awfully dirty too. What I did like about this hotel is that it was right on the beach and we found ourselves there most days. I can't see myself ever returning to this hotel. Room size was tiny. Food choices were poor. Hotel grounds and surrounding areas were poorly kept and filthy.

I honestly can’t believe the negative reviews. We visited last week for a week with our two toddlers. The hotel staff all the way through to the entertainment were lovely and very helpful. The range of facilities for families is excellent and the location is stunning. Food was what you’d expect from an all inclusive. Similar options most days but every night the chefs were cooking different styles meats. We had Kabab meat one evening, pork, steak, fish, along with your usuallly additions of chips / salad, pasta, paella, just to name a few. There’s also an all day American bar which served burgers, chips, nuggets, hot dogs and more. The only thing we found was the rooms were a little small and dated, but we didn’t spend a great deal of time in the rooms. Regarding the cleanliness, I saw staff cleaning continuously and picking up cups and rubbish throughout the day. HOWEVER, a number of visitors sadly British made that job exceedingly difficult. Leaving litter, fag butts and food anywhere other than the bins. We personally witnessed one family leaving fag butts at the edge of the pool. The staff tried to keep everything as clean as possible, but sadly the GUESTS were to fault for excessive mess and I don’t think the hotel should receive flack for poor behaviour of guests. There isn’t lots to do in the immediate area, however regular bus services are available into Mahón etc which we enjoyed easily with a 2 & 3 year old. We really enjoyed our stay and would visit again.

Location Not much around at all. A few shops here and there and a couple of souvenir shops. If your looking for a ***** of shops/bars/restaurants nearby then this isn't the hotel for you. This is located on an amazing beach which is just stunning. A bit of a steep walk tho to get there and back. We got the bus into mahon which was only just under 3 euros each but there wasn't a lot open (not sure if it's because it was still April and not quite ready for the tourist season yet) Hotel itself This hotel is amazing with all it has to offer. It has 4 or 5 swimming pools,water slides, ping pong, volleyball,basketball pitch. It has the most amazing kids park (this was brand new this year) bouncy castle area. It also has crazy golf. Very clean hotel and lovely staff. Very kid friendly hotel it all centres around kids. The outdoor entertaining area is just fantastic. Big outdoor stage where they do mini disco. Food We enjoyed the food. On offer everyday is fries and pasta then other bits which swap daily. We did have undercooked pork one night which put us off having anymore freshly cooked in front of you meat. The American bar which is located in the main bar is open from 12pm until 10pm and they offer on all inclusive burger chips onion rings toasties hot dogs. This was amazing food and we really thought this was a nice extra 😊 Negative points On a number of occasions we saw that some kids were coming out of the pool with cuts on their feet. This must have happened 4 or 5 times and the lifeguard on duty didn't seem bothered. When this was then reported to reception they advised it was because there child had been in the pool for more then 4 hours which apparently can cause feet to bleed??? Nonsense! We paid for a sea view room which we didn't get but we didn't complain as this was the quiet part of the hotel and with having a 4 year old suited us better. Not enough pillows in the room. Not all rooms have baths. Small rooms but ok as your not really in your room a lot on holiday! We managed fine with 3 adults and one child. If your looking for a cheap holiday with your kids then this is the holiday for you as the resort has that much to offer you won't need to spend anything.

Where I do I start if you want a quiet holifay probably be ok for you , the complex is great for kids park and the slides the pool, apart from the entertainment was not very good as they don’t speak English, the food was disgusting, breakfast was horrible, undercooked chicken and a lot of pork, there is not much around, no roads with bars on it, hardly any shops. And so expensive, and if your a smoker good luck on getting cigarettes or backy, and the rooms are small, and if you have a room like ours with bunk beds, we have one child and the turn the top bunk on its side so when my daughter sat up she cracked her head on it. Also when I was there with my daughter the amount of kids that came out of the pool with cut feet was unreal, life guard and the staff was not interested, Stay away the best advise!

Advertising air conditioning yet reception says all they have is heat from the air units now. So if your staying here and it's warm they no longer have cold air conditioning units.

Great hotel for kids views beautiful but not a great variety of food in the restaurant, we paid extra to stay in the sea front view apartments which were beautiful rooms lovely and cleaned daily staff lovely but the staff in the restaurant wasn’t that pleasant and food just ok and repetitive but the sea view makes up for it great holiday

Just got back home yesterday after having a really great holiday at the Club Hotel Aguamarina It was a really great hotel. The food was amazing, and the chocolate cake the kitchen staff made for my son's birthday was amazing and really nice. The restaurant staff were always happy to help and made you feel welcome The reception staff was really helpful and had plenty of advice The cleaning staff are amazing and kept the hotel really clean The bar staff are amazing and made really nice cocktails Everyone was really helpful

We enjoyed a cheap last min break early in the season. Like most reviews I agree the rooms are very small. We travelled as a young family of 4 and it was very tight for space. That being said the hotel has great facilities for families and so we only really used the room to sleep in so it was forgivable. Bouncy castles, a newly renovated playground, kids pool, slides, daytime and evening entertainment programme, kids club there’s plenty to do. Also a great location right on the beach. Kids pool freezing though this time of year! I would say the food is very samey but we expected that for the rating of hotel and the price we paid. Rooms were cleaned daily. Staff were friendly. The biggest negative was the check in process. It was very slow, huge queues with one person on the desk. we waited over an hour to be told our room would not be ready for 2 hours then had to join a queue again to collect our room key! A room is provided for luggage but no information about what to do/where to go In the meantime was given and we were left to fend for ourselves. I’m sure this process could be smoothed out. Overall good value for money and we enjoyed our stay. I would book again if the price was right.

Love all the entertainment staff that was the best part of the holiday but the 1hr 30min to check in then a 15min wait to go to the room as it was not ready the the house keeper took my bank card out of my room the when I ask her about see say to me that she new nothing about it but then found it on her trolley and the food was cold and not cooked but Rafa the bar man was very good as well as the jet2 reps
