Gran Sagitario

Just a completely perfect hotel, zero faults. Came with a friend for a long weekend and we were so impressed by this gorgeous hotel - staff are helpful and friendly, everywhere is spotless, one of the best hotel breakfasts I’ve ever had, incredible pool food, super quiet, lovely pool, well-priced massages, the list goes on. I really can’t find anything to fault. The location is great too - Ciutadella is a short taxi/bus ride away, and from Ciutadella you can also get buses to the beautiful beaches (our favourite was Maccarellata). Taxi to airport is around 70 euros. Thank you Gran Sagitario for a lovely trip, I can’t wait to return.

First visit to this hotel, we had a lovely stay. The room was spacious and very comfortable. Food was good and for my husband it was above and beyond our expectations. He's vegan and occasionally finds hotel food choices limited. Not the case here- the chefs freshly cooked full vegan dishes each night, it was exceptionally good. The large pool area was very clean and the gardens are lovely. Couldn't fault our stay and would 100% go back again.

Had a wonderful holiday here in October. The staff are amazing and couldn't do enough for you from the check in with a glass of Cava to the end of the week when we checked out, actually wished we were staying longer. Stayed half board and can honestly say we enjoyed all the meals we had. It was buffet style and so much choice. the only criticism I had was the long wait for the coffee/tea machine every morning, maybe have a separate hot water machine as it was the coffee that took ages apart from that it was good, especially enjoyed the freshly cooked food from the always smiling chef who always cooked my fresh fish to perfection. The hotel accommodated us with the ground floor room as having mobility issues which was facing the pool, lovely room but next time I will request an accessible room as I struggled a bit in the shower (yes we will return soon) We used the sunbeds a few times as the weather was glorious and no issues with people reserving them, pool cold but quite refreshing as it was so hot, booked the inside pool/sauna/spa which was also nice. Only had lunch on the day we arrived at the pool bar but the pizza was really good. We had more of a relaxing break this time as it is a bit secluded where the hotel is so missed having a nice walk in the evening but stayed in to enjoy the entertainment which was also good. All the staff are a credit to this hotel and we will definitely be back even though we don't normally return to the same hotels. Lovely hotel highly recommend.

Husband and I stayed here for a week in October, we wanted a relaxing holiday, that's exactly what we got, the rooms immaculate and well serviced by the maids, the indoor pool had to be booked but no problems, it was lovely. The weather was very kind to us, as it was October, there was plenty of sun beds around the pool, I would have said it was a freezing cold pool.. well done to the ones who ventured in. The food at the pool bar was freshly cooked and served with a lovely smile by the waiting staff, nice to get a bit of shade around lunchtime. The food in the main dining area was ok, there was a microwave on the side so you could warm it up, but for us there was too many oriental dishes and all in little dishes, (wouldn't like to be the one who has all those to wash, there must have been hundreds used over an evening meal, even desserts where in little dishes or little glass lids, ) It look very nice, and I know it what one person likes another doesn't, so in our opinion the food let it down. You have a wonderful hotel, if we returned, we would only go b&b because of the food, but had a lovely relaxing time.

The staff were all so friendly from start to finish . The room had everything we needed , safe , fridge , air con , pool view , large balcony. The room was peaceful, we had a drink on the balcony in the evening listening to that nights entertainment. I understand the evening entertainment will be reduced next year so will be a few nights a week . Food was beautiful, we ate breakfast when they opened , and did the same at dinner time , which had the double bonus of everything being hot and there being outside table space . I’m sure eating inside would have been fine too , but it was lovely to watch the sunset with dinner . Fabulous that there was no annoying towel reservation of sun beds , there would have been no need as there were free beds at any time of day . The outdoor pool was chilly , indoor warmer but you need to book , although we used it most days and were often alone . The sea was actually quite warm and warmer than both pools to swim in . The beaches of which there are at least 3 coves to the coast path to the right are small , again we went after breakfast most days and had the second cove round to ourselves for an hour or so . Lovely to watch the fish as the water was so clear. There’s not a long stretch of beach , but with decent sandals you can walk the slightly uneven coastal path in either direction , the left leads to a beautiful rocky cliff part of the sea with a ladder that goes down into it if you are a good swimmer . Then follow the path for 20 mins to the larger supermarket and souvenir shops . The bus into town is just past the little supermarket a road away from the hotel , and for a couple of euros it pops you into the town centre . We were looking for a peaceful relaxing break , and that’s exactly what we got , so much so that we have already rebooked for next year . This is a fairly new hotel , so there’s very little wear and tear . Everything is kept beautifully clean. I would say it’s definitely a couples hotel , rather than a family one , although there were a couple of babies/toddlers there the week we stayed.

Lovely clean welcoming hotel. Staff very friendly. Indoor and outdoor pool lovely. You have to book for indoor pool which has sauna and steam room too. Left feeling very relaxed. Buffet breakfast and evening meal had a good selection. Gluten free options available. Lovely local walks. Shops within 10/20 minute walk depending what you want. The castle and bunker were worth the walk.

Really impressed with the cleanliness of this hotel every part of the hotel from rooms, pool area, restaurants and public areas were a credit to the cleaning team. The staff in all areas were very friendly and professional, again credit to the staff. Our only gripe was the food in the buffet restaurant while the selection and presentation was excellent it was spoiled by the fact it was only Luke warm.

This is my honest review of our holiday at this hotel. I have to say the hotel was beautiful, absolutely immaculately clean, the staff were wonderful, very helpful, all the waiting staff brilliant, lovely indoor pool which had to be booked (lovely) Now the reason for marking the hotel down was the food and the layout of the restaurant...there was an indoor dining room and an outdoor dining terrace, this was where the layout of the serving stations were badly situated...at breakfast, because of the cold air coming in from the outside terrace all the hot food, bacon, sausages, beans, tomatoes etc were cold, and had to be heated in the microwave...and so it was the same for our evening dinner, when this dining room was designed, why did they not put the salads and cold dishes in this area, instead they were situated in the farest part of the dining room... for this I have to mark it down, in fact, we enjoyed the food more from the poolside bar, hot,freshly cooked and served by fabulous bar staff. All in all, we had a nice holiday, in a lovely hotel, and booked this hotel because of the reviews ....would we return? My answer would have to be No... the reason being the food, I said this is my honest review, so I say, not for us.... but give it a try for yourselves.
