I visited on a trip. I wanted to stay at a Parador, but I couldn't afford it if it was too expensive, so I chose this Parador. The facilities were perfect. The toilet and bath were very clean. The best thing was the view from the room. It offers sweeping views of 'The European Countryside'. When you check in, you can change to a room with a beautiful view for +40€, so I recommend that (I think it would be better if you could do it at the time of booking, but if the room is available on the day will handle it). The front staff was fluent in English. They kindly responded to my broken English. Finally, we recommend that you include breakfast if you have time in the morning. There is also a buffet, but I personally recommend the cafe menu where you can eat while watching the scenery on the terrace. I was able to make a reservation at the front desk the night before. Overall it was a very satisfying hotel. Highly recommended.

Enjoyed our stay. Hotel very nice. Clean, well kept generally. Only let down was reception staff, they were not forthcoming with information, not only on check in , but overall.

The food was excellent and the staff helpful, friendly and welcoming. Having stayed in a number of Paradors, I've come to expect them to be exceptional and this one didn't fail. The views from the bar and restaurants were fantastic.

After visiting Paradores de Cadiz and Nerja we decided to go for Paradores de Arcos de la Frontera, since We were so pleased with everything, delicious food, Nice rooms and excellent service! What a Huge mistake! The room was ok - but dinner! The worst dinner ever in Spain. We had halfboard for two dags. My husband sent back his main course ,uneatable meat, day two and it was replaced by another dish, pasta, completely tasteless. A dish composed of avocado and beetroot was way to sour and a dish of fish, no taste and not fresh. To pay for such bad food?? We advise visitors not to have dinner at this Parador. And we Do not know of We dare to go for a fourth Paradores. So disappointed

We stayed one night at this wonderfully situated hotel in the center of the white village of Arcos de la Frontera. Given its location if you have a car you will be parking in the newer part of town in the parking garage and either hiking up hill 15+ minutes with your luggage or taking a taxi. We took a taxi. The streets are crazy narrow even for the professionals. We arrived early and were able to check-in. The woman at the front desk was delightful and super helpful (she also checked us out and ordered us a taxi). Fortunately I booked a superior room and it had a stupendous view of the valley below. The hotel is right on the edge of the cliff. The hotel is an old palace so it has its quirks but the room was big and the balcony huge. There was a safe and a small frig and tea kettle. The price was pretty good but it was off season. Not a big deal given the room we had and it was the weekend but the main square of town right outside the front door is in the midst of major construction so it could be loud on weekdays depending on the room. This project looks like it has a long way to go... Thumbs up.

I find it somewhat difficult to review and judge this Parador properly. The gentleman at the front desk welcomed us warm and kindly. He also informed us that we were upgraded to a junior suite. It goes without saying that this is very nice and very kind. The fact is we did not really get that feeling from the room we stayed at. Room number 20. Bed was kindly prepared as a king, and the room was very spacious and clean. There is nothing wrong with that, and the bathroom new fresh and clean as well. But we just missed being able to enjoy some of the nice views. Perhaps we must conclude we are becoming some spoiled over demanding travellers. The terrace offers an amazing view service kind, and any drink will just taste just great when you can sit down in the Andalsiuan sun in February overlooking the beautiful green valley and the ancient church of Arcos de la Frontera. City is worthwhile visiting. Breakfast is somewhat small compared to other Parador Hotels, but the ladies in Breakfast service way friendlier. Make sure when staying in this Parador to book a terrace room overlooking the valley. Thanks.

Simply stunning. Location fantastic. Staff lovely. Other than having to park in a car park some distance away I can’t fault it. Advice would be to book a superior room in order to get the best views and a private balcony. Be prepared to walk (mostly uphill).

A must visit Parador, choose a Superior Room with a balcony for wonderful views and sunsets. Great staff as always at the Paradors and the food and service is good. Only challenge currently is the lack of close parking do to town works. You have to park in the town parking below, but it is only a 10 minute walk.

The hotel can't be reached by car, which has to be left in a garage quite some distance away. When trying to get a taxi, none were available. Response from the hotel was not satisfactory, but some mitigating actions were taken in the following day. There was a church bell tolling every half an hour in daytime. The plaza in front of the hotel was a building site.
