Hotel et le Cafe de Paris

The hotel Is Just in the city center, surrounded by all kind of restaurants and shops. The train station is just 15 minutes away by feet. Rooms are clean and beds are comfortable. We enjoyed the coffee machine in our room. We did not experienced much noise from the restaurants downstairs. There is no elevator and the typical Dutch stairs are really steep! The restaurant is good too.

Do not expect any hotel services like an attended front desk with well-informed staff. Or even an elevator—just a narrow, steep flight of steps. Or a call back to resolve a billing error! It’s a nice restaurant/cafe but totally lacking as a hotel.

Stayed here with my daughter who was attending a wedding nearby. The staff at the hotel are amazing, - friendly and efficient. Dinner was absolutely fine, - no complaints there. The hotel is clean and our rooms although not luxurious perfectly suited our needs. The only negative is that there is no lift and the stairs are very steep, but that's not surprising as it is an older building. Would we stay here again? Most definitely.

Overall good experience. We stayed for around 3 weeks. Superior room was good. We expected bit lower price than offered considering our long stay. Room was cleaned everyday. We were given room in second floor. Hotel does not have elevator. So we had to climb two flights of stairs every time. The second flight is especially tricky with a winding staircase. They helped to carry our luggage up and down. Wish there was an intercom in the room. They provide a tabl and we have to write our comminication and wait for them to respond. May not be a good practice for any urgent requirements. Sometimes the heater was being switched off during the daytime, which as bit uncomfortable for us. Generally the staff were quite friendly. We tried their restaurant only once, since we did not have much vegetarian choices, felt it bit expensive. Location is a plus. Coffee machine in the room wasn't working, but they got it replaced and it was fine. The wardrobe was just an open shelf. First time I am seeing a hotel room without a properly covered wardrobe, but we managed. Overall fine, but we would request them to provide room atleast on the first floor when we visit next time. We stayed there with a family of 3. The room was nice, but if you have a room at the front I think it can be noisy. Services are limited, it seems more a restaurant with a few rooms for rent than a hotel. For breakfast we missed a buffet service. They offer a play with some buns and cheese but not free choice. Overall ok but will not book it again

Lovely hotel with great staff. This quaint hotel is located right in the central square in the centre of town. There is a restaurant downstairs which has excellent food for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Everything you want is within a few minutes walk. The room that we had was large and airy and bright. It was no trouble to get extra towels and pillows. All the staff were very friendly and the service in the restaurant was very friendly and efficient. My only negative is the stairs. Stairs in the Netherland seem to be built for mountain goats. The stairs going up to the first floor are very steep and shallow. The stairs to the second floor are almost as steep, almost ad shallow and they curve. If you cannot climb stairs, I would not recommend this hotel.

Everything went smooth, easy parking nearby and in the very centre of the city. Room was ok just enoigh to sleep one night for a person. Nice breakfast and very nice staff! Also connected restaurants are a good option for a dinner.

Hotel is in a very good location , very central . Staff were very friendly . Room was a good size and exceptionally clean. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room were handy. As mentioned by a few people the stairs are steep , a bit of a climb so you need to be prepared for that.
