Not so satisfied with hygiene. The towels I got on the first day were kinda smelly. Like you didn’t dry them properly and it has that damp and musty odor. I guess that affected the whole experience. Otherwise, hospitality, service and breakfast were good.

A cozy and charming hotel with a very pleasant atmosphere. Good breakfasts, and the staff are friendly and helpful. There's often live music in the evenings. Excellent location.

The stay was good, but while we were sleeping, a cleaning staff member just swiped their card and entered the room, even though I had pressed the 'Do Not Disturb' button. Luckily, I had engaged the physical lock. Also, walking around the old town area where we stayed was a bit difficult.

First, we checked into an economy room (the first three photos). The upside was that it was quite spacious. That was nice! However, there were more downsides: it was dark, a bit dirty, clearly hadn't been renovated in a long time, but the worst part was the smell from the bathroom. When we arrived, the smell was already there and it spread throughout the room, and there were also toilet flies everywhere. It was unpleasant. After that, the staff helped us move to a different room – an upgraded suite. It's in a different building. It's much quieter, more peaceful, and more beautiful there. This room was a 10/10. It was clean, pleasant, had a balcony, and a wonderful view. I highly recommend the hotel itself; the staff are responsive and kind, the rooms are good (not the economy ones), the architecture is beautiful, it's atmospheric, everything is wonderful. We'll be back again. The buffet, in my opinion, wasn't very diverse. Quite meager. But that's a minor detail.

I've been using Trip.com for ten years and rarely leave negative reviews, but this hotel was so bad today that my whole family couldn't stand it. Even my elderly parents, who are quite resilient, kept asking me if we could switch rooms... To be fair and objective, the only positive was the very enthusiastic and helpful guy at the front door. Now for the downsides, there were so many I don't even know where to start: 1. The room was old and run down. Even after running the air conditioning for a long time, the room was still incredibly hot. The bathroom exhaust fan was practically useless, and the blackout curtains were broken in several places. 2. One of the female receptionists at the front desk had a terrible attitude. I was very polite, greeted her with a smile in appropriate English, and asked if we could get more drinking water since our room only had three small bottles and no water heater. She actually told me I could go out and buy it myself. 3. The hygiene conditions were awful. I have pictures to prove it – the duvet clearly had many stains. I tried to call the front desk to request a change, but the phone was also broken, so I had to walk down three flights of stairs to find the front desk. 4. Later that night, we even found a huge cockroach in the bathroom! Finally, I couldn't take it anymore and we changed rooms.

The location is decent for the Old Town, but there were plenty of oddities. The WiFi didn't work for us the entire stay. Initially, we were put in a room that reeked of dampness and mold, and the door to the shared balcony wouldn't close. The staff didn't bother to cool down or air out the room before my brother and I arrived. After a rather angry complaint, we were eventually moved to a suite, which was smaller and darker than the room we originally booked, but at least it didn't smell. It was a 4-story climb up wooden stairs, and everything felt very old and barely held together. The pool is in the common courtyard where the hotel restaurant is located. A strange decision, meaning we're supposed to swim while others are enjoying their lunch?! Thanks to the staff for their response and for moving us, but overall, the impression was negative. The only plus was breakfast. It was good, varied, with lots of fruits, vegetables, different types of eggs, sausages, and cheeses. That was a pleasant surprise.

If you’re after an ice-cold shower, sky-high pillows and a nightly tug-of-war over your doona, this place is for you. Arrived at 3am after a long day of travel to discover there was no hot water, which was very disappointing after such a late arrival. When I raised the issue at breakfast, reception advised a technician would attend but could not provide any timeframe, nor any reassurance that the issue would be addressed with urgency despite still not having had a hot shower since arriving, and no apology. The hot water was never fixed during the stay. The breakfast was okay with variety. The pillows were very high and firm, and the doona cover was too small for the bed, making it a battle for a corner. The room was very noisy at night with people walking past the alley way drunk, woke up multiple times. Would not recommend.

We got in love with this hotel having a walk around the old town, and so er ended up booking a room for our last 3 nights here. What an error. While we are well aware of what economy means, the 4 stars and its price tag were very disappointing, as our expectations were high. Whether is 1 🌟 or 5 🌟 , every single hotel room should be clean, which ours was not. Very tiny space, regardless of category. 1 socket for 2 travelling people to charge all our devices (apparently in every single room). Really? We are aware that is an old building, nevertheless, it should not excuse the lack of cleanliness and quality of the room itself. We asked the hotel for another room, but same issue, without further solution. We contacted Trip.com which, as usual, stepped in and got the hotel to provide a better solution next day. However, the hotel's solution was another economy room in a DIFFERENT HOTEL? Having to return each time for breakfasts, and/or other issues? Absolutely ridiculous, inconvenient, disrespectful and unprofessional. No apologises, no solutions, including rude reception lady that checked us in (I wish I could know your name and post it here). All in all, the location is absolutely perfect, and the outsides of the hotel are stunning, but the rooms are rubbish. I have stayed in 2 stars hotels with much better conditions for the same category. So where did they get the stars from? It definitely does not deserve it.

Beautiful hotel in a perfect location. Many staff re and somewhat difficult to access taxis, I wouldn’t recommend booking if you’re driving a personal vehicle.
