Beautiful nice hotel with excellent food and service. A very nice and funny waiter. We ordered the mittag menu. Some kind of pie filled with veal and mushrooms. Excellent taste. We drank some non alcoholic apple cider. That was very good so we bought two bottles to enjoy in our hotelroom. Make sure you visit the bathroom it will be like no other bathroom in the Scweiz. Just beautiful!

We've just returned from our 3-day stay at Hotel Post in Andeer where we enjoyed the great hospitality of Steve and Hannah and their team. This house and its rooms and the two restaurants are beautifully renovated and designed; we were truly impressed by the quality and taste of everything we saw. It's a mountain hotel with lots of wood and stone, but with a very modern and warm touch. We loved the idea of two different types of restaurants - one evening we ate a 4-course meal in the fine dining restaurant, the second evening we tried out the menu of the so-called "Beiz" (rural cuisine). Both meals were outstanding and in both places the service was impeccable and very friendly. Yes, it's expensive in the Gourmetrestaurant, but it's definitely worth it. If you don't want to treat yourself to such delicacies or prefer to eat just a small bite, you always have the choice! We loved our stay at the Post and are convinced that the owners and the managers have been doing a great job with this gem of a hotel. Good luck for the future - we'll definitely be back!

The Post Hotel and restaurant is a gem in a small unassuming village. The room we stayed in was spotlessly clean, has a tasteful decor and a very comfortable bed. We ate in the Gourmet restaurant where the dishes were delicious - a mix of Asian and European flavours. Hannah and her husband pay great attention to offering an excellent service. She remembered that I'm lactose intolerant after our first visit. How many hotels offer that level of service?!

We had an amazing three night stay at the exceptional Hotel Post Andeer. The family run team was incredibly kind, thoughtful, and generous, making our stay relaxing and memorable. Our room was well appointed, featuring a very comfortable bed, picturesque window views, and warm wood floors and features. The bathroom featured local Andeer granite and modern fixtures. Our breakfasts were delicious with plenty of choices and excellent local products. We ate several meals in the casual restaurant, and the food was excellent. The genuine warmth and hospitality from all the staff was especially noteworthy. We enjoyed an outstanding dinner in the gourmet restaurant, partaking in the five course tasting menu with wine pairings. A five star experience. Excellent food, creative flavor combinations, and impeccable wine pairings. We were so well taken care of, and we’re looking forward to visiting again!

As someone working as a cook myself, i find it hard to choose a restaurant where i can really look forward to eating, let alone together with my parents who both individually bring two more sets of hard to meet needs. Even fewer times i left a restaurant with the both of them actually agreeing to return soon. That however is exactly the compliment Owner and Host managed to sucessfully work for. From the very beginning both the space and the host did everything needed to put your mind at ease while generating quite a high level of curiousity for whats to come. Having chosen each winebottle in the cellar himself our first bottle was quickly chosen and by the time it was decanted, we got a first taste of the level of fine dining that you can experience at hotel post with a graved lachs (with earl grey done in house) matched great with some caviar and a blue potato foam soup. It certainly did not feel like being so far from any urban center, we very much enjoyed the beautiful suroundings without having to compromise on quality of life. We chose the full menu of 6 courses with the addition of the next level cheese cart. To match with our main course of Duck (breast roasted on the bone with the legs confit seperately) our host recommended a great french wine that he himself did serve at his own wedding. His passion certainly runs deep and the pairing was absolutly on the nose. Trusting the Host certainly can only be recommended. Special mention should me made of our Dessert of plums with a freshly made sabayon of citrus time from their very own herb garden showcasing both the level of craftmanship in the kitchen as well as the focus on anything local that can match the host&head chefs high standarts. Anything from the local cheeserie comes to mind here. Sometimes basic things like milk and cream can be magical just because they really local and made with enourmous love & tradition. Also make sure that you try the espresso since our host showcases another local producer here with a 100% Robusta Single Origin from Uganda. Coffee lovers however can enjoy a 100%Arabica Blend roasted with actual Arven Wood. In conclusion anybody that enjoys the good things in life will certainly find them here. Next time we will increase our chances and come as hotel guests.

We ate well, but the prices are crazy and the tap water served in a bottle with the house logo is charged 8 fr for 7 dl! (11 fr per liter !!!) The manager not at all kind, he seemed annoyed because we only ordered water. We will not go back!
