Tuntas Suites Altinkum

Probably not worth writing a review as it is getting knocked down this year. We had a 2 bed apartment which was quite spacious but very dated 49 steps to the 4th floor an no lifts at all. Kitchen equipment was basic The bathroom was a lovely shade of pink suite the toilet had been repaired with pollyfiller and leaked constantly as for the bath/shower it was half a bath with a seat in and not a proper shower you had to hold the shower head the taps were very dirty and full of lime scale. But most of all it was a struggle to get out and a slight slip could lead to injuries. The pool area was not planned well you had to chase the sun and move several times a day and at 4pm the sun disappeared for the day. The bar and shop were poorly stocked and not much available.

Pulling them down in November anyway. Apartment comfortable but when you specify you want a low floor and get put on the top with a 72 year old having to climb 67 steps is way beyond a joke 🤬 as for self catering! Lol took 3 hours to boil some eggs cooking appliances/utensils don’t think they know the meaning. But they were clean and staff friendly

My girlfriend and l made our first trip to Altinkum and stayed at the Tuntas Apartments, so happy we did as it’s a great complex to stay at. Ideal location at the quiet end of the resort. 2 bedroom apartment is a lovely size. Great pool although same 2 meter depth all over. Nice friendly staff. Lots of holiday makers have been coming here year after year after year. So sad that the complex is closing in November 2023- we wish all the staff the very best for the future in getting new employment.

Firstly, self catering, it’s laughable ! A fridge, 2 ring burner. That’s it ! No microwave, oven or even a toaster. 1 pot, 3 items of cooking utensils, absolute rubbish. Our room was tiny with a small balcony, whereas my sister had a huge room with a balcony you could get 15 people on and what made it worse was that we booked at the same time and paid the same price ! They offered a room the same, but at a daily charge. Be aware that there are loads of steps to the rooms and the staff didn’t offer to carry the bags up, but we said we need them bringing down when we left as it was dangerous. The outside floor area is so slippery, that you have to be so very careful. Very old hotel, needs a lot of work. Would not go again.

One of the cleanest, friendliest hotels i have ever stayed in. A few language barriers but they were quickly resolved with google translate on their behalf. The staff around the bar and pool joined in the fun and banter with guests. The cleaners respected our privacy or tried to have a lovely chat and giggle. The pool is the highlight and the deepest in the area, again clean and tidy. My children and us adults all loved it. Only problem we had was electric and aircon constantly cut out especially afternoons, even after they upped there fuse and usage.

The apparent was very spacious and clean the staff were very polite only downfalls we would say is the music is loud and some of what is played is inappropriate for a family setting and lack of discipline around the pool side

Stayed at Tuntaş Suites for 3rd time last month. Requested and was allocated the same apartment I had in May 2022. Apartment was clean. Didn't use the pool/sunbeds/bar at all this time. Did look at the menu and prices were reasonable for the convenience. Safe hire is £2 per day and if you want aircon it's £5p/d for 1 bedroom or £8p/d for 2 bedroom. Returning later this year but have booked a 2 bedroom apartment.

This was a change of hotel from Jet2, originally booked Happy Apartments but after paying in full told hotel closed, rather than lose holiday decided to accept change. Arrived 23-30, 11th May, Room 513, spacious balcony, lovely sea view. lounge sparce, bed settee, 2 easy chairs with flat cushions offering little support or comfort, kettle, rusty plug - in hot plate, dining table, bedroom 2 single beds pushed together, patio window wouldn't shut, 4 coat hangers, bathroom small. No toaster, no microwave, very limited utilities for self catering. Clean bedding and towels every day but floor only mopped once in 14 days. I can understand why hotel doesn't provide toaster/microwave, they want you to eat breakfast/meals in restaurant but "self-catering " ! Should provide enough utilities to allow for catering, not just a kettle. Very disappointed with room, very old and dated/broken furniture, in need of serious refurbishment and updating. Pool area when we were there was fairly quiet, plenty of sunbeds but 90% were broken! Plastic laths were broken so you ended up sitting practically on the floor, cushions flat and old, no comfort or support. Again in serious need of replacing. Pool bar good for drinks and food, reasonably priced. Pool music is LOUD, very LOUD, and repetitive. There is no "lounge " area for relaxation, only a settee and 2 chairs, you can share seats in dining area but not comfortable chairs. Small mini market attached to hotel for limited choice of drinks/food. The hotel is tired and in dire need of refurbishment and replacement of damaged/broken furniture and fittings, if self-catering it should offer full kitchen facilities. The staff are very friendly and helpful and work extremely hard but the hotel itself is disappointing. Location of the hotel is at the top of a VERY VERY STEEP HILL ! It is extremely difficult to walk up but 40 TL( £2) for a taxi doesn't break the bank. Guests we spoke to also said they struggled with the steep hill. Ladies Beach is lovely, clean and £6 for 2 sunbeds and umbrella, it is vey busy, especially after 2pm and absolutely manic Sat/Sun. Lovely promenade, plenty restaurants, a few shops (all selling same goods). Expect to pay between £18/£22 starter, chicken/burger/pizza, Efes beer (£3), glass house wine £3-50), for decent steak/fish about £25/£30. All have great sea views, we recommend Kiwi, Palm Beach and Ladies Restaurant's. Kusadasi is a lovely resort, it is hilly but relaxing. Tuntas Family Suites are disappointing, it needs urgent refurbishment, it is tired and lacks room facilities. Would I recommend Tuntas, sadly no, would I return, again sadly no. In its present state it does not warrant 3 stars which is disappointing Sorry Jet2, not a good choice of holiday hotel.
