Hotel in the center of the old city on the street of bars and restaurants, the room is spacious and clean with a mini-balcony, equipped with everything you need (although no, it seems there was no mini-bar). Everything was as described on the website. Even a warning about noisy nights! Loud music from the bar until 00.00, so as not to annoy, it is better to go out and plunge into the atmosphere of fun! And residual noise from bars until 4.00 am. Breakfast in the city starts late from 9.00 and later. Breakfast at the hotel is recommended, they are worth it!

I was a bit worried about staying because of the reviews but my husband and I are just back from a great week at Hotel Baltum. Yes the room was small, but it was cleaned every day and fresh towels, had enough room for the pair of us to get ready in and a fantastic shower. We were on the third floor, couldn't hear any noise from outside when the patio doors were shut and the air con was great. The staff were fantastic, the roof terrace is brilliant and the bar staff working couldn't do enough to help. There is some noise in the hotel but it probably echoes up the stairs, something you can't stop as it's tilled and marbled. It's in the centre of the old town, 2 minutes from the beach and surrounded by bars and restaurants. Right near the taxi rank too.

Spent 9 nights here in these self catering appar**ents .We were welcomed by a very pleasant young lady at reception, the room wasn't ready but as it was only 11am we didn't expect it to be , so off we went to get some shopping from one of two supermarkets less than 10 minutes walk away , by the time we got back to the appar**ents our room was ready , room 402 , on entering we found it to be huge with a very spacious and separate kitchen , the appar**ent itself had plenty of storage spaces a 4 seater dining table , TV with all the British stations , and a lovely comfy bed , the Wfi was very hit and miss , you could get a connection some days and nothing other days. Our balcony overlooked the pool area and also had a stunning sea view , the bathroom was adequate but had a window in it that anyone walking past could look through , so we blocked it off with a paper carrier bag , there were always plenty of sun beds available altho many were broken .it's about a 10 minute walk down to the main square , and if you choose to walk back we counted 100 steps back up , so for those less agile than others it's a bit of a trek , altho you could get a taxi for 5 euros .There are no bars or resturants near to the appar**ents except Josephs bar which is 5 minutes walk and is well worth a visit for their lovely food .Overall tho we would definitely stay here again .

Breakfast buffet is super invincible and delicious! Especially fruit selection is especially great! The hotel will take the initiative to help parking is free. Hotel dinner is not recommended for single or buffet, the taste is very general, the ingredients are not too fresh. The sea view room has a beautiful sunrise view of the sea on the west side of the sunrise. Also saw the double rainbow! The on-site walking trail is also very convenient to walk to the sandy beach of Sao Rafeal. In the morning, it is empty and there is no one, just like enjoying a private beach. The only downside is that the spa is charged separately by number of people, and the free swimming pool also has to buy a swimming cap to enter.

had a nice break here , very good location and nice sea view on fourth floor, clean and nice staff, close to old town , pool lovely, the hotel was a little too quiet for my 12 year old son however as no day entertainment at all , no restaurant at evening either but we like eating out anyway, breakfast was good and staff are all helpful.

I booked this hotel for friends for a 70th and a 60th - disappointment was an understatement! I used this hotel many times before on friends holidays, large groups or just a couple of us. It’s been maybe 5 years since going - well I was totally disgusted when we got there after recommending to my friends we go there. 4 of us went and when we got our first room it was disgusting! There was paint bubbled and peeling off the dresser, the sink was cracked in many places (not just crazed) bacteria city! We couldn’t close the balcony door or bathroom door, it was truly very grim and soooo old looking. We got them to change our room and said they’d move us but not our friends and they hadn’t even got their room yet! (They obviously knew it wasn’t going to be good) They were given the room next to our first one, there was blood smothering the lamp shade which they just ‘cleaned to the best they could’ but wouldn’t move them. The sunbeds were ALL decrepit, material was all broken, there was not one sunbed in any sort of good condition. We were therefore forced to go to the beach where it was €19 for 2 beds. The music played round the pool was so loud we couldn’t even hear ourselves talk to each other as the speaker was sat by the bar/eating area so we couldn’t stay for lunch during the day and had to leave to go elsewhere. Apparently they are doing up the hotel - very slowly and have done the top floor! That’s no good to anyone being put on the lower floors. They aren’t doing up the urgent things that need attention which is such a shame. We asked for a hairdryer as none in either room and were told to come back tomorrow….we went and bought one but our friends went back the next day and there were none to give out. The last day we asked they opened the cupboard were meant to be kept and the cupboard door fell off!!! Place was falling apart The older lady on reception had the absolute hump with us going back and forth with complaints and asking for help which should be an apology and do all you can to help guests….customer service was totally out the window! She acted like we were just being nuisances….

I lived on the 1st floor, everything was old, the room was dark, it was convenient that it had its own exit to the street, like a courtyard, and right to the pool. The pool was a bit old. Very cool friendly staff, they helped with all questions. A little far from the center, but if you have a car, everything is great. There is parking! Quiet area, beautiful beach within walking distance.
