Before I start this review, I would like to say that my husband and I are fairly easy to please and are happy to make do with something as long as it is comfortable... We got a last minute deal for one night to kfar hamaccabia and one of the main reasons we chose it was because it advertises having an indoor pool. Check-in was fine. The rooms are fairly old and basic but fine. I found it strange that not only is there very limited signage around the hotel showing you where things are, but there wasn't even an Information sheet in the bedroom explaining where things were in the hotel. When I asked at the front desk where the pool was, I was told it was out of the hotel... In the same complex but actually a pool open to the public as it was part of the maccabia complex (I had passed it as I drove towards the hotel, and was full of screaming kids). I was also told I would have to pay a deposit in order to use the pool to make sure I returned the towels or something. I chose not to go through the hassle of using the pool in the end. I had a coffee in the hotel lobby on Thursday evening before we went out, at about 7pm, the button on the table to call the waiter didn't appear to work. When the waitress finally came like 20 minutes later, she didn't bring me a menu. There was only one waitress who seemed to be serving a very busy lobby and therefore it took another age to receive the coffee and then get the bill. In the room, although the bed was comfortable, it was a twin bed pushed together with two separate sets of single sheets despite being advertised as a double. On Friday morning we were woken up before 7am to construction work right outside our window in another part of the hotel which was very frustrating. The breakfast was tasty and varied but the coffee was from a coffee machine and not very tasty at all. All in all the stay was very average and the thing that mainly shocked me was that my husband asked me to not book this hotel next time as he very rarely has a negative opinion on things. I think they need to try and give the hotel a bit of an overhaul.... Simple touches are needed like signs showing where the dining room is, more attention to detail and service etc
