This B&B is our most impressive stay during 13 day trip in East China. Charming decorations, comfortable bed, tasty breakfast and most importantly, their hospitality!! Jacky is the warmest host. He did a great job in serving his guests. We felt like we are his friends rather than customers. He gave so many good advises on the Huangshan walk routing, taxi booking to Chemgkan and also good place to dinner. Unfortunately, we stayed only one night here and it rained In the early evening so not much chance to explore Tunxi as we wished.

After reading the online reviews and pictures, I chose Yushe B&B, which is located in the new Liyang Street Archway with an excellent location. Opposite is the old street, a 5-minute walk. The whole color combines Huizhou culture and popular fashion just right, which is especially suitable for young ladies to take pictures now👗. This hotel is a gem in Tunxi that I found on Trip.com. We regret not staying here for 2 nights at the start of our 4 day trip in Huangshan at the start of Chinese New Year in Jan. 2023 because it is near the Huangshan Bei (North) high speed train station (25 min drive by Didi) and an easy travel to the Yungpu cable car (about 45 min.) to access the mountain. I contacted the hotel and connected on Wechat and the English speaking receptionist Xiao Xi (he is an amazing host and an ambassador for this hotel) answered my questions and sent me the taxi/Didi location. When we arrived we received a warm English welcome and an unexpected upgrade to a spacious gorgeous, already heated room with a huge bath, and shower overlooking the river. Our original room price included breakfast, which was a mix of Chinese and Western choices. I recommend trying the preserved tofu. First time I tried it; it resembles blue cheese, and is surprisingly tasty. We loved the Japanese style design of the hotel. The hotel is situated conveniently near the promenade adjacent the river, Luping cobbled stoned shopping street and Tunxi ancient street. Xiao personally guided us to these streets and made some dinner suggestions. We decided to have dinner at the hotel and had a lovely meal of sushi and ramen. The hotel has many areas designed for guests to relax inside, and outside where you can have cups of tea on the house. It also has a library room where you can relax reading a book or just have a cup of tea. They also offer tea ceremonies which is included in the room price. The swimming pool is an added bonus if you visit in summer. The promenade and shopping street can be accessed from the gate at the outdoor seating area on the roof as well. I definitely recommend staying a night or two in this beautifully designed hotel with friendly staff and service in English and Chinese. The locals were friendly and a sandwich and coffee at the FFFFF café is a must. It is one of the most delicious roasted sandwiches (we call them jaffles) I have eaten in China. In the evening you can visit one of many wine houses, clubs or bars in Luping or Tunxi Old street, or just walk around and enjoy the scenery. We don't regret visiting in winter. It was chilly outside but we experienced windless days and nights making it a pleasant experience walking around.

(1) Fantastic kitchen to order your meals from. The food ordered looks exactly like what’s seen in their menu. Fantastic taste! Pricing is good too. (2) Fantastic location (if you are intending to conquer Huang Shan). Walk from the hotel to a bus point and then take bus up to Huang Shan base. For return, take the same bus and alight right in front of the hotel. (3) Being a Ming-Shu, you can’t expect a hotel-like cleanliness and services….so in this aspect, it’s definitely “clean” enough. (4) BUT insulation is bad bad bad. Once again, this ain’t a hotel. The noise from neighbours is horrendous… as well as the traffic along the road. These noise can start as early as 530am. In all, strongly recommended for a 2N stay…as it’s really the best location and food for a single trip up to Huang Shan. If you want to explore other parts of the town, this Ming-Shu should not be considered.

According to the proprietress, the house has a history of more than 200 years, and the hotel is named after the proprietress's daughter, who is a beautiful and lovely mixed race. The overall design of the house is in a nostalgic retro European style. If you like this type, you can try it. The restaurant is in a glass sunroom next to the whole house. The kitchen is open and serves Chinese and Western food. You can enjoy the food while watching the view. My experience after moving in was that some were okay and some were uncomfortable. For example, the wall-mounted air conditioner didn't work very well in the colder weather because of structural problems in the house. The water supply problem is also uncomfortable. The washing water will be unstable and the water consumption may be concentrated during the period. I hope the merchants will improve their facilities and equipment to make them better. 農家樂店麪臨街，很好找，地理位置很好，不論是去深渡港口還是其他景點都很方便。我們訂的是4樓帶陽台的房間，陽台很開闊，風景也不錯，上麪有搖椅茶桌和晾衣架，晾衣服挺方便，晚上回來洗個澡坐在陽台上吹吹風很愜意。房間整體環境的話，農家樂不能要求更多了，但還是很乾凈整潔的，除了熱水器出水有些小大家都是挺滿意的。老闆娘很熱情，不厭其煩回答我們關於景點的問題幫忙聯繫門票和出行，而且燒得一手好菜，玩回來有一桌噴香的飯菜是多麼幸福的事情。筍乾燒肉、刀板香、飩雞湯、紅燒仔雞、炒山芋梗子都特別好吃，臨走那天還看見老闆娘拎了條野生鰱魚進廚房，可惜沒這個口福啦。整體體驗極佳，性價比很高。
