The Thapae Gate Sunday Walking Steet market is another great option. Go after 5:pm and enjoy the vibe. Then head off the Boys Blues Bar and hear one of the best guitarists in Thailand.

Absolutely gorgeous hotel, in a great location. We stayed in a suite which was the nicest room we’ve ever stayed in, the only thing it lacked was a balcony. The staff were exceptionally friendly and always catered to our needs. All within a short walking distance there were night markets, restaurants, bars and a Thai boxing stadium. We will definitely stay here again if we get the chance to come back to Chiang Mai.

Since it is a serviced apartment, it is originally for long-term residents. I can't speak English at all, so I'm stuck with color 々, but it's strange that it's fun when I get used to it. If you already have a stomach that you can't speak English, you can laugh at each other that you are always smiling at each other even though you can't communicate. As for the room, the floor plan is quite large and the bed is large. There is a sofa. There is a large refrigerator (no water), a mirror stand and a closet, the windows are large and the view is ok. Amenities include shampoo, body soap and toothpaste tubes. Towels are cheap and full of hair (laughs). Some rooms were not in my room but had a veranda (my room was large enough not). There is an elevator. No meal facilities. Water and juice are sold on the first floor, but it is very expensive, so I do not recommend it. If you ask for laundry, you will do it. Certainly 1kg30～ 40 baht? The location is a few minutes from the night bazaar. Next to the Pompin Hotel, the sound of karaoke or disco is noisy at night, so it seems better to stop staying for those who are not good at that. Recommended for those who want to experience a little different experience from the hotel where they usually stay for sightseeing. The room is very comfortable. It was a comfortable stay for me.

We stayed for Loy Krathong. From a geographical point of view, it is very perfect. Downstairs is the only way for the parade of floats. Turn left when you go out and you will find the Mae Ping River. In addition, the hotel is very close to Warorot. It looks like 900m to Thapae Gate and walked there in a while. There are two beautiful temples near the hotel. The customer service is very enthusiastic. One day I made a wrong pick up for the one-day tour. The driver only speaks Thai, and the boss enthusiastically helped me contact me. The price is here, so the facilities are average, the sanitation is average, the breakfast can be full, the room may be for insect repellent, the smell of mothballs is relatively heavy, and the front desk only speaks English.

Everything. The staff were exceptional and made us feel at home, were always keen to assist in any way, helped to arrange activities and scooter hire, eager to show us local food and gave fantastic recommendations on places to eat plus the food made on premises was delicious. The location was perfect. The room was a great size, very clean, wonderful shower pressure, great view from the enclosed balcony. I loved all the art work around the premises, there were so many places to choose from to sit and relax, and the pool was clean and a welcome relief from the heat. I will miss all the staff, will definitely stay with them again, highly recommend this hotel, and next time I will stay much longer. I nearly didnt want to leave. Exceeded my expectations.

An interesting hotel in an old house full of ancient items like a museum. The truth and rooms are also like a museum, very old, would not have prevented a little renovation. In general, the whole of the station and the bus station is not very far from the station and the bus station will be suitable for one two nights if you travel. We therefore chose it so that in the morning we don't hurry to get to the bus station on foot. If you have come to Chiangmai for a rest, you can overpay a little and find something more comfortable with the air conditioner in the old city.

Snugged in a corner of a residential area is this gorgeous hotel that matches its name - White. Two 4 storey buildings and an open pool area make up this comfortable hotel with big huge rooms! Don't expect too much variety for your breakfast but it is sufficient! The location of the hotel is relatively near to (within 10 mins walk): 1) Chiang Mai Gate Market, 2) Anusarn Market, 3) Chiang Mai Night Bazaar, and 4) Wau Lai Walking Street by the river of Mae Kha Canal. You'll have to take time and walk around this area. If you stay around here for more than 3 days, you will find that this area has many little shops and restaurants littered all around that serves fabulous food at very affordable prices! I was always greeted by Jenny on reception with a warm smile. After enjoying Chiang Mai city for 2 weeks i extended my stay and paid a good price for 2 more weeks. The rooms available are fan only or fan and air conditioning. Although there is no fridge in the rooms there is a communal fridge in reception which is always stocked with ample water, soft drinks and beers all at very cheap prices. My large room had a fan, AC, TV, wardrobe, dresser, king size double bed with very clean bedding, which can be changed upon request. The shower area, although a bit outdated, is still quite adequate. Panda House is located on a no through road, there is hardly any traffic outside and it is exceptionally peaceful considering how close it is to the city. I could take a slow walk to Tha Phae Gate in less than 10 minutes. Nearby Tuk Tuks are easy to flag down; or reception will order a private taxi in a matter of minutes. Panda House does offer a food menu, however there are endless bars and restaurants all within walking distance. I stayed for one month and had a very comfortable stay. Thank you.

The day before we landed I noticed we would be arriving after check in. I messaged on booking.com and I got a reply pretty much straight away with all the information I needed in detail, this was such a relief as it it meant we didn't have to worry about potentially not being able to check In. Staff are so friendly and helpful, they helped us book some excursions and did us a discount. Breakfast was good, they had a big selection of English and Thai food and they even packed us a take away Breakfast one day when we had to leave early. Rooms were clean. The location is okay, on the north side of the ancient city It is very convenient to go to Niman Road, JJ Market, Warolo Market and Changkang Night Market The hotel staff are very friendly and have no problem communicating in English. There is a welcome drink when checking in. The room was very spacious and clean. The air conditioning is strong enough. You can watch Netflix, YouTube, and various movie programs on the TV, which is great. The hotel's soundproofing equipment is also very good. No other tenants could be heard except for the sound of the door closing. Overall, I like it here very much. Next time I come to Chiang Mai, I will stay here again.

The street the hotel is on is quiet and has many interesting cafes and restaurants. It's in a cool neighborhood in Old Chaing Mai. The room was super cozy and comfortable. AC worked very well and was super quiet. The hotel has a pool perfect for families with small children. I definitely recommend the Valentier Cafe and Hotel

The hotel room was very basic but clean, spacious and comfortable. The air conditioner worked really well. Breakfast was simply but good- choice of eggs, meat, bread and coffee or juice. Friendly and helpful front desk staff. Enjoyed the balcony. Free washing machine and place to dry clothes. Nice outdoor seating by the pool. A small alley to the right of the hotel will quickly take you to a nice supermarket, a few restaurants and just across the bridge are night markets and lots of places to eat and shop. Nice place for the money.

This is our second visit to Chiang Mai. This time my wife and I stayed in The White Elephant Home for two nights. The location is great, very close to old city, only several minutes’ walk. I prefer to stay outside the old city for quiet, clean and comfortable neighbourhood. We booked a room for two and they upgraded us to a family room for three. The room is spacious, new and clean with a lovely balcony. The interior and exterior match the photos and description on the website. Breakfast is freshly cooked and is delicious. We enjoyed it in the lovely garden. The staff are nice and helpful, they have friendly smiles all the time. They speak good English and provided useful information to us in buying Green bus ticket to Chiang Rai. I didn't drive this time but I saw them providing car covers to guests and helped to cover and to remove it. Will definitely stay in The White Elephant Home again if we visit Chiang Mai again. Highly recommend!

I stayed here for 3 nights on a solo trip and because it wasn’t my first time to the city, I was rather specific about where I wanted to stay, and I chose this hotel for its location in old town near to the many cafés I had wanted to visit. First app - the service. It was amazing! I was scheduled to arrive at 10pm and although the late check in procedure was originally a personal email on unlocking various locks to get the room as the lobby that connects to the bar was closed, after I responded, they actually said they will have someone to wait for me at the reception to help me with my check in. Already a very positive note even before I arrive! Check in was swift and the room was exactly like shown. Its not a style for all, but I love it. Its simple, classically modern and functional. My only gripe is that there are not enough power points near the main bed (or you will Need a longer wire) so you really have to charge your phones at the TV Consol (with my short wire) which means that you don’t get to have your phone right besides your bed. The bed is Asian style firm so if you like it cushy, then its not for you. The pillows were also not that ok, even though with 4, its not the firm kind so i did have trouble sleeping. But if you like fluffy kind, these are your heaven. The bathroom had all the amenities needed - toothbrush, cotton, et al., but no mouthwash, so bring your own. There is also handwash next to sink and a good hair dryer provided. Shower pressure was surprisingly good and the wall mounted heater means u can tune the hot water manually to your liking. The location is superb as its near Thae Pae gate and You can really explore the old Town easily within walking distance from this location. The hotel also has a coffee bar with very cool drinks.

This hotel is located by the river. When I first arrived, I saw the surrounding environment and felt a little cold. After check-in, the impression is completely changed. The staff at the hotel have a very good attitude, speaks and smiles decently. I asked them to help arrange the Hua Lanna massage and the taxi to the airport on the third morning. They all arranged it properly. Where can I go? , The waiter will take out the map, mark the route and provide it to me, and even check the location on the computer. After telling me the route, he will print the route to me. The work is very meticulous and thoughtful, especially praise! This time we stayed in a family room on the first floor, with floor-to-ceiling windows facing the swimming pool. Next to the swimming pool is a restaurant, which is very convenient for swimming and eating. The hotel’s restaurant provides 24-hour free mineral water, watermelon, pineapple, hot water, tea, coffee, egg rolls, rice crackers. You can make a cup of coffee at any time, sit under the tree, facing the river, and rest. In terms of location, there is a 7-11 on the diagonally opposite side of the hotel, and there is a supermarket a little past. Turn left and walk a short distance from the hotel to the iron bridge. After crossing the iron bridge, go straight for two intersections to the Changkang Road Night Market. I considered the resort before staying in this hotel, but it would be more troublesome to go out in the resort, and I finally chose this one, which proved to be correct. Of course, there are regrets about this stay: 1/The hotel just arranged for someone to trim the branches the next day, so that the tables and chairs at the door could not be seated, and the room would be noisy, and I could not enjoy the hotel environment well; 2/The bathroom drained slowly , There is water on the floor at the end of the bath; 3/The bathroom does not have a place to put towels and clothes, which is very inconvenient as a family room; 4/We stayed for two nights, and there was no cleaning staff in between to clean the room and collect garbage. Changing towels, putting paper towels, no cleaning work. Anyway, this is a highly comfortable hotel, a hotel that makes people want to stay all day without going out. Hope that next time you stay, there will be further improvement and experience. I booked this place after checking out the review and was skeptical since it is cheap and near the bus station, but decided to try it anyway. Surprisingly the hotel looks modern, carpark space at the back is big, right across a temple which is not too noisy, yet by the road side near the bus station (50 meters away) So it will be great for people who come to Chiang Mai by long distance bus. Safe and secure, nice room with big LED TV, big room and comfy bed. Tips : Ask for a quiet room and you will get one facing the back, even more quiet than usual. They have buffet breakfast too.
