The furnishing in the room was nice and updated. However, I did not have a good sleep at night as there were a lot of noise and sound at night, probably coming from other room is using water. There was also slight noise coming from the fridge. For light sleeper, this room would not be ideal as the noise persisted through the night. Had feedback to the front desk but reaction was mild, perhaps nothing much can be done. Breakfast was very good and there is a variety of food items.

Cleanest and best Hostel in North America. Also VERY affordable. Stayed 3 nights and came out to $88 a night tax included. Can't get a better location being located right in the heart of downtown Jasper. Staff are super friendly, and it is a very social experience with a lobby with TV and board games and they are always planning social outings. Huge kitchen and laundry room and laundry services available so it is also perfect for long term stays.

Rooms were clean and laid out well. Nice size balcony. There was a complimentry fire log in the fireplace but the room was a bit to warm for me so no fire! Kitchenette was well stocked with everything we needed. Bathroom vanity is a bit small. We stayed 5 nights so I had more stuff! The bedroom in the loft is a good size. There is a safe up there. There is a tv up there as well as downstairs. No alarm clock. There is a closet for coats at the entry to the hotel room and another closet in the bedroom. As well, there are 3 drawers to store clothes in in the bedroom as well. The stairwell going upstairs is a bit narrow and the last three steps spiral to the room (narrow at one end and wide at the other end) just as the banister ends. It took this 60 yr old a day to get used of that, especially in the middle of the night! There is a plugin close to the too of the stairwell so bring a nightlight if you want. I was also grateful for the small oscalatong fan in the bedroom as it was warm up there! Try to get a room with a garden view if you can.

Arrived fairly late and we’re new to Jasper. So we decided to eat in for the first night. I knew we were in trouble when the young man at reception put a call through to an extension. His colleague in the back office told him there was no-one in. He merely shrugged and said “stuff happens”, not thinking for one second that he was showing appalling customer service. This was so unlike the usual excellent service we’d received all the way across Canada, I was surprised. So he turned to us. When we asked about the restaurant we were told it was open for breakfast only. And that was what it states on their website. We checked there and then. It doesn’t mention it! So I asked about the bar - was that at least open. “Yes”, he said. “At breakfast”. (I never actually tested that.) He continued to insist that the restaurant was not closed - it was merely only open for breakfast. In the end he shrugged again and said (with no sense of empathy) “Sorry, what can I say?” This was such a shame that this surly, uncaring man is the first face of the hotel, because the service we received from other staff members was much better. They don’t service the rooms, but a request for coffee, etc, was acted on in 5 minutes. I would have preferred real coffee mugs and glasses, but it’s a small point. The rooms themselves are large and comfortable, if a little dated. The hotel is situated about a 10 minute flat walk to the centre to town. And the town has a friendly welcoming feel to it. People would say hello as you walked in. So, sorry, Chateau Jasper, you need to train your reception staff. Or suggest they find a calling outside the hospitality industry.

Spent one night here during a road trip across Canada. Accommodation was booked by a tour operator and changed from the Crimson at the last minute. Firstly no air conditioning. I honestly cannot remember the last time I stayed at a hotel with no AC. It was over 30 degrees when we stayed here so had to have the window open all night. Our room was next to reception so what with the noise from reception and from the street and the heat, very little sleep. Then at 5:30am a member of staff decided to start using a vacuum cleaner at the top of the stairs outside our open window. Could have been worse though, the ground floor rooms were partly underground so the windows opened literally onto the pathway from the lobby to the car park. The room was shabby, in serious need of refurbishment, dark, dingy and musty. There was a kitchenette which contained a cooker that looked sketchy at best and I certainly wouldn't have used it There is no restaurant in the hotel, they suggest you go next door to their sister hotel for breakfast. There is supposed to be an on-site coffee shop but that was closed. Having viewed the hotel on booking sites, I can only assume the photos were taken 20 years ago because they do not reflect the current state of the hotel. I also assume that the hotel can get away with this poor quality because of the lack of hotel accommodation in Jasper Seriously, 2022 and no AC.

Based on previous reviews I was really worried about staying here, in fact I tried to change hotel based on the previous reviews but no other availability. Needn't have worried at all! The room was clean and tidy, carpet clean, and no signs of wildlife in our room as a previous review stated. Not saying that review was false but our room was nothing like that review. We were on the 2nd floor so maybe wildlife doesn't make it up that far. I can only say what I found. It is a simple hotel, more motel style, but was clean and tidy. As for rude staff we did not find that at all. I did witness a rather rude customer who was treated back with a curt manner, but to be frank I would have been curt back if spoken to in the way the receptionist was spoken to. No need for rudeness at all. We were told when we arrived that there was no maid service due to staff shortages. Not an issue for us. We make our beds at home, doesn't hurt making them on holiday. Any items needed were supplied from reception as and when needed despite them coping with power outage due to the wildfire. All I can say is if you want 5 star treatment and can't lift a finger yourself and are disrespectful to staff then pay for a 5 star hotel. If you want simple accommodation and are of a polite nature and treat others how you like to be treated then give this hotel a go.

Jasper's hotels are estimated to be similar. There are no elevators on 2 floors, the rooms are not very large, and the facilities are relatively simple. Although they are good, they have capsule coffee machines. Just to rest for a night, you can still. The heater is very powerful and warm up, but the sound is quite loud. The main restaurants are all on the same street, just a few minutes drive from the hotel. The best business is a beer factory, which is more cost-effective. I went to Pyramid Lake early in the morning on the second day. There were not many people and the scenery was good, but I didn't feel too amazing.

Prices are a little high as others have said but if you time your trip right it can be worth it for a little peace and quiet. I would recommend bringing board games and maybe a couple books as there is no TV which is the only thing I regret (this was noted on their website) that I didn't bring. The front desk agents were very polite and helpful :) when we asked if they had board games to rent, she kindly offered to drop some after she went home as she would bring her own games to us. We told her no thanks but we definitely appreciated her efforts to make our stay enjoyable. During COVID times and probably the time of year a few of the amenities that were mentioned (lawn games etc) were not available to rent. Which is understandable. Cabin had everything we need, stove top, pots & pans, cutlery and all. It stayed warm when outside was quite chilly and the bed was comfortable. When it's warmer next time I would love to explore the trails in the area unfortunately it was a little chilly when we went so we weren't in the mood to explore.

Mice 🐭 field mouse Before there were mice in the house, the first few times were lived in December in winter. The scenery is impeccable. If you fully recommend it in winter (no mice come out and freeze to death in winter), the epidemic is suffocated. The first summer will come when you encounter mice On the first night, twitter hunted for food in the house and found mice to find five or six o'clock before going to sleep. The second night, I drilled up from the gap in the lower stove. I saw it and looked at it, and then I closed the gap. There is no good way to say that you want to drill out of the hotel when you hear the sound. They are very common. They are also helpless. It is indeed in Canada and it is in a national park. The environment is so good. 1% can't avoid not staying on the lower floor. Staying on the upper floor because there are so many things in it. Under the lower floor, there is room for mice to live, and because of the footsteps of foreigners

It is 2km away from the town of Jasper, like a resort. If you choose a standard room, like a guest house. Choosing a cabin is really great. The hut has a hob to cook for yourself, with underfloor heating and a fireplace. But driving in after dark is very dangerous. There is no trace of light + roadside stone. It is very dangerous for self-driving, and my car is scratched.

This is our second time to stay at Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge. The environment of this resort is very beautiful, which include several lakes, golf course and trails. In the meanwhile, there are good restaurants in this resort. We did enjoy the wonderful dinner at Orso Trattoria restaurant. If we visit Jasper next time, this resort will be still our top priority choice.
