|4.68km from downtownBreakfast can be, every day is different, travel with friends, navigation is not accurate, around for a long time, in fact, the hotel is very close to the road, it is very convenient to go out, Miss sister gave me upgraded suite, we did not run out of Dirham, the boss I swiped the card to us, didn't overcharge us any fees, the very kind boss, we brought instant noodles, the waiter also knows that we have to boil water, and we don't think we are not happy when we order food on their side. The old grandfather and the person were very good. On the first day, we really didn’t have cash, didn’t give him a tip, and he wouldn’t be unhappy. When we left, we helped me to get a taxi, then told the driver to play the watch. Really very caring. It is suitable for taking children. I have seen that the next room is a four-person bed. It is very large and the parking lot is a few minutes away. It is very convenient. Then we have to go to the sun to dress and travel so much. It’s important to wear clothes.

Fes
|3.4km from downtownThe Moroccan-style renovated family hotel is very distinctive and the pattern on the architectural structure is exquisitely carved. The central courtyard used for gatherings and dining, where the roof top above can be opened to reduce the heat or can be closed to keep warm. Rooms are arranged around the courtyard which reminds me of Hui-style architectures. I also see the shadow of Chinese architecture in some Moroccan architecture but the difference is that in addition to wood, they use stone and mosaic as building materials to form a colourful visual effect as well.

|0.57km from downtownA very pleasant hotel with Moroccan decor and delicious Moroccan cuisine. The rooms are comfortable, spacious, air-conditioned, with clean bathrooms, daily cleaning is a big plus. Very nice hotel staff, helpful in all matters and problems. The hotel is close to grocery stores and a shopping center. A pleasant surprise was the welcome with Moroccan tea and cookies. A hotel worth recommending

|1.52km from downtownThe only positive note that I can make about this hotel is the location. If you arrive/depart by a train, then it is quite convenient. Other than that, I can’t recommend this hotel. It looked and felt very run down, without a proper maintenance. My room (the standard room) only had 3 wire hangers, the bathroom had broken hooks, reminders of the cheapest repairs everywhere, and the water drain in the shower was clogged, TV channels quality reception looked like in 1970s, there was no hot water one morning. Walls are thin, noise travels quite a lot. My room faced the common area next to the pool with tables and chairs. Some guests strangely decided to sit there and socialize at 2 am at night, and of course I could hear everything. Breakfast was more or less average, but many dishes were cold. It was not my first stay at Ibis property. But it was the worst. Stay away.

|3.76km from downtownOur family of five (including 3 young adult children) had an incredible stay at this beautiful ryad located in the heard of the Medina. Michel, the owner, along with his staff gave us a warm welcome and provided attentive service during our entire two night stay. This is a beautifully renovated ryad with a tasteful and eclectic decorating style. The calming courtyard has birds chirping, stained glass windows, beautiful fountain/dipping pool, and plenty of places to sit and relax. Each room is uniquely decorated, has plenty of room, and is very comfortable. Breakfasts each morning were great - pastries, yogurt, fruit and eggs. We highly recommend having at least one dinner at Ryad Salama as we did- beautifully prepared and delicious. Overall, we felt this was one of the best stays we have had on our many vacations and highly recommend Ryad Salama.

|3.75km from downtownUsed by two women.
I am located in the middle of the old city and I think you can enjoy the atmosphere of Fes as it is.
Because it is a riad, the interior is in Moroccan style, the tiles are cute, and the tension is increased.
Add the welcome drink mint tea.
The staff is very very friendly! !
If you are late and leave early in the morning but want to shop,
He told me what he wanted because it did not open in the morning, so he visited recommended shops and restaurants.
I’m sure it’s not very cheap, I was taken to a shop near my friends,
I don't know if it's right or right, I'm very grateful soon.
I didn’t give a tip because I could meet the next day,
In the end, I couldn't meet and pass.
No request. I really want to pass it.
Each sheet of paper has 15DH printout service.
The cost of a taxi to the airport is 200DH per person.
It may be a little higher than the market price, but I think it can.
I think there is no towel.
The drainage in the shower is a bit bad.
It is easy to block immediately, but it is fine to discard a small amount.
With breakfast
Simple bread and jam, orange juice, etc. appeared.
I feel good eating on the roof.
I want to stay for about three nights!

|3.76km from downtownThis is a lovely, quiet, small riad in the heart of Fes. Hicham and his mother are warm and helpful hosts and very happy to have a chat. My room was huge and the bed was comfortable. The water was hot and plentiful and the room was super clean. Hicham arranged transport from the station and also a lovely guide. He also orientated me with a map and some suggestions of sites and restaurants. I’d definitely stay again especially as they are finishing of a second terrace which will have a lovely view.

|1.69km from downtownThe main issue with this hotel is the location - it is a bit far from old fes and the markets. Also, while it is next to a mall - as noted by others - who cares, the food places there are mediocre fast-food places. Our rooms (we had two) were clean and quiet - if also dated. Service in the hotel was attentive and friendly. We didn't have dinner or lunch here (there is a restauarant on site as well as a small cafe next to the swimming pool), but the breakfast buffet was vast and largely very tasty. The pool was very large and a great place to relax at the end of the day. Prices were very resaonable (mid-range). Except for the location, I would recommend this hotel for those who want a quiet, comfortable, hotel at a good cost.

Close to the blue door of Feis, there is breakfast. Although it is not delicious, it is very rich. The price is very cheap.

|3.49km from downtownIt really depends what is important to you. While this place has some shortcomings, the location may make it worth overcoming those. That said there are a ton of places to stay nearby, so it does feel like a bit of settling. Pros Location location location - it’s nice to not navigate the maze and harassment of the Médina. It is well placed for arrival/departure near a petit taxi stand and a very short walk to the Blue Gate. It’s also convenient to many restaurants and the bars of Hotel Batha. Decor - the lobby and rooms are nicely renovated and generally clean. Terrace - a nice rooftop terrace Plenty of hot water Air conditioning and heat in room Decent WiFi Cons Noise - Even with ear plugs and windows closed, I heard every knock at the door. Every phone ringing (began at 0630) and the noise in the alleyway. I can imagine this is significantly worse when there are more guests and visitors in general. I was upstairs, so I imagine that the room just off the lobby must be terrible. Ask to see your room before paying. Smell - as others noted the room has a smell. The heater seems to be the issue as it was most prevalent when in use. Bathroom - At 1.6m tall, I was as unable to sit on the toilet due to it being so close to shower. I literally had to use it sitting sideways. This seems problematic for anyone slightly taller or with limited mobility. The shower head was also broken which caused water to shoot everywhere in the bathroom. Housekeeping/security - I was surprised to find all of my stuff moved and rearranged upon returning to the room. I’ve never had such aggressive “cleaning” in a hotel. This included my bag and contents as well moving my underwear that was hanging to dry and my mouth guard which was on the bedside table. There is a safe and I would advise using it for valuables. On my last evening, I asked what time check out was and was told noon. The next day I returned before 11 to find my room wide open and already serviced. It’s unclear if they actually changed the sheets. I was happy to have traveled with a sleeping bag liner as there was only a flat sheet and blanket atop a mattress cover - odd. Breakfast - a carbfest of multiple breads and pastries. They will make eggs. Mine were raw on day 1, so I passed on the remaining days. It’s fine, but not worth delaying your day to stick around for it. Summary - if you’re a short, carb-loving heavy sleeper this might be the perfect place for you.

Enjoy it before it is complete :-) And you will even be surprised to have Moroccan cakes offered in your room

Fes
|3.5km from downtownNunca he tenido una tan mal experiencia.

|3.75km from downtownOur family of 7 was split into 3 massive and accommodating rooms. The Ryad was architecturally eye-catching with each room being completely uniquely designed and spacious. While one room had 3 story ceiling and its own sitting area, another had private terrace access, so there will be a special room for you, whatever your needs. The food served for meals was the best we had on the entire trip with a good variety and perfectly-cooked chicken tagine. The Ryad also had several amenities including a terrace and a separate private meeting room. The staff was incredibly friendly and always helpful. This Ryad was among our favorites and a stay here is highly recommended.

|3.77km from downtownFacilities: Except for some minor problems, everything else is pretty good. The bed 🛏 is very comfortable, and there is a small wardrobe in the room. The room at this price is 30 square meters, and breakfast is also provided. The price/performance ratio is really high!
Hygiene: A very clean homestay!
Environment: In stark contrast to the noise of shopping outside, as soon as you enter here, you will feel extremely quiet, very suitable for traveling to relieve work pressure.
Service: There are only 4 employees in this homestay (two front desks + two cleaners). In the morning, you can see the two cleaners at the kitchen side, and most of the time there is only one front desk 💁🏻 staff, if you have time Both front desk employees were there. I was there in low season and I was the only guest there for 2 nights, so that was basically 4 people for the least money I paid 💰. If you have any questions, ask the two front desk staff. They are very pleasant and listen patiently and try their best to help you. On the morning of my departure, they helped me carry 🧳🧳 to the main road and took a taxi so that I left The front gave them 50 dirhams per person. Every night, the two front desk staff will cook dinner in the kitchen and invite me to eat for free. If you don't like spicy food and the taste is not very heavy, you can try Taji pot, the taste is still good, especially the strong fragrance. The 150 dirham dinner from the previous comment, I personally think this is a normal price, because you go to an outside restaurant (excluding roadside stalls) to eat the same meal or you go to a nearby Chinese restaurant to eat Chinese food, the cost is similar of. As for mineral water, this is a normal phenomenon. When you go to hotels or scenic spots, mineral water drinks are several times more expensive than many other places. But if you ask for hot water in the hotel restaurant, most of the time it is free 🆓. So instead of drinking cold mineral water, why not drink hot water (only in winter, no hot water in summer 🤣)? In short, next time I travel to this city, I may book this homestay again, so I also recommend people who travel here to stay here for a night or two.

|0.74km from downtownStayed at this hotel as part of a tour of Morocco for 2 nights and my room was on the 2nd floor. All looked okay but the bathroom door couldn't be opened properly as the bathroom was so small it hit the sink. The shower head was in a disgusting state and the water mainly came out the side of it. What looked like a king size bed was actually 2 singles pushed together except the top sheet didn't fit so it was more just draped over and the blanket on top the same so if their had actually been 2 people in the bed they would of been fighting over the bed clothes. The noise from outside at night was still loud despite earplugs. Every time I came in/out the room there was a trolley outside with leftover food I assume from someone's room service, morning & night - not at all appealing. The WiFi well a different login depending on what floor you happened to be on & then it usually didn't work anyway. Breakfast was ok, on the 2nd morning I arrived as the restaurant opened and nothing was ready. We did consider having dinner at this hotel but the staff were not very friendly or even much in attendance. The only good thing to say about this hotel was the view from the restaurant especially at sunrise.

|3.79km from downtownThis is the first time I have decided to write a review for anything as this place has been nothing but EXCEPTIONAL. We came here to explore Fes with two young girls ( aged 5 and 6). We were welcomed with all smiles and the manager even walked with us to the streets of Madina - which can be really tricky to get around. Having young children can be challenging on holiday but the staff and owners made them feel welcomed and treated us like family - asking the girls to decorate the Christmas tree, putting presents for all of us under the tree, cooking us the most exceptional celebratory meals. They had put a great selection of games out for us to play as a family - we have found a new hobby! Everyone at the riad has been kind and has gone the extra mile. Previously, having stayed at 5* resorts and hotels, this riad has become a family favourite. We were able to walk to the madina daily and walked to the new city. Also, It has the most exceptional views from the rooftop. I would definitely recommend this riad to anyone wanting to explore Fes and hope to come back soon. Thankyou for an amazing stay!

|3.7km from downtownWe stayed at the Dar for two nights, and they became our most memorable nights in Morocco. Before and after Fes, we only stayed in five-star hotels, but honestly, they can’t be compared to our experience here. One thing that I missed in those fancy hotels was the interaction with the locals. In this Dar, however, we, for the first time, experienced the hospitality, sincerity, and enthusiasm of Moroccans from the staff member Tawfik. He is the most beautiful person we met in Morocco. We love how he has a passion for life and that he finds everything interesting. During our stay, Tawfik took extremely good care of us, helping us with all sorts of big or small matters. On the rooftop, facing the breathtaking view of the Medina, we had a couple of intriguing conversations. Honestly, we have heard many negative things about Morocco and Moroccans but Tawfik and this Dar have shown us many, many positive aspects of the country. If you want genuine and fun experiences in Fes and Morocco, you should not stay in five-star hotels but in places like this. This Dar is simply amazing.

|3.52km from downtownRiad Le Sucrier De Fes is a stunningly beautiful traditional Riad, providing a quiet peaceful oasis within the hectic Medina. It is in a good convenient location and easy to find ( important in Fes ). We missed our connecting flight, and having travelled overland ( and unable to contact the Riad ) arrived several hours late in the early hours of the morning. The lovely owner Souad who had waited up until 2am for us (and then gone to bed) greeted us at 5:45am with smiles and concern for our wellbeing. Her warm welcome and the beauty of the Riad made the stress of our journey evaporate. On the day of our departure she got up with us at 2am and ensured our taxi arrived on time. Her kindness will never be forgotten. During our stay, Souad and all the staff were very kind and helpful (but never intrusive ). Souad recommended amazing places of interest, great local restaurants and even booked a beautiful hammam for me. Breakfasts in the courtyard (at whatever time we got up ) were delicious and plentiful. I highly recommend this Riad. I did not want to leave ! Thanks to you all for a wonderful stay and we hope to see you again soon Inshallah. I think I still need some practice in recognising the essential oils of Morocco !

|0.38km from downtownWe were pleasantly surprised by the Hotel Volubilis. We hesitated to book the hotel because of some bad reviews about not having hot water and the staff being unfriendly (especially to Asians). But we decided to book anyways because of its location and quite affordable price.
We were arriving to Fez at around 5pm, and we were told staying at the Medina wouldn't be worth it. Since we were catching a flight the next morning, we thought it would be more convenient to stay in the new city. So, despite some of the bad reviews, we decided to spend the night at Hotel Volubilis.
Its location turned out to be great. It's right at the center and by the main avenue. There are lots of places to eat at walking distance and there are several Carrefours closeby also at walking distance.
The staff was nice and they welcomed us well and took our request for a taxi to the airport in the morning. So, we have no complaints about the staff.
Our room was big with a terrace. The room was old but clean. The terrace had no table or chairs, but it was okay.
The bathroom was also big and we had no issues with the hot water. We showered at arrival and in the morning and water was hot and with pressure.
The thing that we missed the most in the room was a fridge.
Other than that, all good and acceptable. Though we agree with the other comments saying that this is not a 4-star hotel by ”global” standards.
