El Gran Hotel de Pereira
4.1/537 Reviews
This is a very dated hotel and the section of town that it’s in is not the best. It appeared that there were some gangs hanging out across the street. Internet service was spotty because there is a tendency for the power to go out in the city and the generator at the hotel is dated and not reliable. That’s being said the front desk was wonderful. Very helpful and responsive. I had one of the rooms with a large balcony facing the street. Yes, there was some noise but very comfortable and spacious.
Visus Hotel Boutique & Spa
4.6/519 Reviews
We went to the spa and it was amazing. They have an infinity pool on one level and a jacuzzi, sauna and turkish bath on the lower level. We had the spa program called Restore spa. It had the sauna, turkish bath , jacuzzi as well as the whole body massage, exfoliation, facial hydration. There’s also dinner and the food was superb.
GHL Hotel Abadia Plaza
4.4/587 Reviews
The building and the rooms are a little faded, and the twin room I booked was a little bit too small. But everything was in place and functioning. The gym is small but adequate. The restaurant is nothing very special, but it doesn't let you down. The breakfast is more than adequate. What makes this hotel special is the suoerb service. I was there for 2 weeks with my wife coming and going at odd hours, and everyone was extremely helpful and understanding. All the staff, from the front desk, to the restaurant, to the cleaning staff, everyone was incredibly attentive and helpful. The hotel has a good location if you want to be in downtown Pereira. And the best part is the value for money...other hotels in the area don't match up.
Zi One Luxury Hotel
4.2/527 Reviews
Not sure what they mean when they call themselves a luxury hotel, but I wouldn't. Biggest problem was the room itself which was barely big enough to allow 2 people to move in it, and with nowhere for either of them to sit except the bed, plus and a tiny bathroom. If you need to work while here, don't bother...the lighting is minimal and there's no room to put even a laptop comfortably. On the plus side, bed and linens were fine, and a good shower; general cleanliness is good; and the breakfast buffet is of acceptable quality without being luxurious. But the biggest problem was noise. Our room opened onto a very busy street with 24 hour traffic, and next door are two popular bar/restaurants that play very loud music until the wee hours.Sleep was at a premium! Staff were generally helpful and efficient, but nobody seemed to have any English for the moments when my relatively functional Spanish failed. Altogether this place disappoints and definitely should consider removing the ”luxury” tag!
Movich Hotel de Pereira
4.5/5110 Reviews
This was my fifth trip to Pereira but the first time staying at the Movich. I can say that this was by-far the best stay I have ever had. The location is perfect - close to everything you could need, connected to Plaza Pereira (a mall with shops and food court) and located directly on the popular Circunvalar. This is where you will find an endless array of restaurants, bars, cafes, coffee places and stores within walking distance of the hotel. Midway during our stay, we decided to extend our stay and book the Premium King room - this gives you access to the 9th floor VIP area with food, drinks, coffee and a very nice place to sit (and if you need to, work) away from your room. Every staff member we met with was wonderful, but I MUST compliment and thank the security team who made every entrance and exit from the hotel safe. The area overall is safe, but there's always a few panhandlers. Twice while arriving at night, a panhandler came up to our car asking for change. Security was outside and removing the person within seconds. I cannot say enough about how safe we felt and how seriously the hotel overall takes guest security. BIG shoutout to the breakfast buffet team, especially the young man who takes care of the egg/omelet station. I enjoyed speaking with him everyday and he always made our breakfast perfectly. Additionally, our waiter Robinson was always available to assist and ensure that we had a great experience. We did not use the pool but the hotel has wonderful amenities: gym, pool, outdoor patio, restaurant, bar, etc.
