Traveling to Australia, this stop is coming to Hobart, the capital of Tasmania. The town of Richmond is the oldest town, and the Richmond Stone Bridge is an arch bridge in the town of Richmond, the oldest bridge still in use in Australia. The bridge was built by prisoner labour and completed in 1825, originally called the Big Bridge, named after the royal commissioner John ∙ Big. The Richmond Bridge is made of sandstone from the Buchholz Hill quarry, transported by prisoners using carts to the construction site, and the bridge has four large arches, two small arches, designed according to the characteristics of the current.

Traveling to Australia, this stop came to Hobart, the capital of Tasmania. Richmond Town is the oldest town, about 30 minutes' drive from Hobart. There are three oldest prisons in Richmond Town, among which Richmond Gaol is the oldest and best preserved prison in Australia. It was built in 1825 and is one of the best preserved prisons in Tasmania. British criminal Aitch Solomon was once imprisoned here. When visiting the prison, you can see the dormitory of chained prisoners, the whipping yard, the kitchen and storage room, etc., which reproduces the life of prisoners in the past. There is a fee to visit here, and the ticket price is 15 Australian dollars.

Mount Wellington

Mount Wellington is the highest mountain in Hobart. The mountain is covered with dense primeval forests, the air is fresh, and the scenery is pleasant. From the top of the mountain, you can overlook the whole of Hobart. The scenic area has complete facilities and is worth a visit, especially since the scenic area is free of charge!

Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens

Open free. There is a different plant in every three parts, and there are many categories! Each plant has a logo and introduction. The park is well managed, with snacks and ice cream, as well as small souvenirs.

Salamanca Market is a fantastic place to visit for a glance of the Hobart’s living with their local produces, daily food. A bonus of fine dining and souvenirs to take home.

It's a small park, just a rescue station. The young people are all volunteers, and the explanations are very attentive. You can mainly see demons and kangaroos. It takes about 30 minutes to drive from the city. It's very convenient

Penitentiary Chapel Historic Site

Traveling to Australia, this stop came to Hobart, the capital of Tasmania. The Port Arthur Historic Site is one of the most famous attractions in Hobart. The Prison Church Historic Site, which used to be an old prison building, shows the local prison environment more than half a century ago, as well as the judicial system in Tasmania. Visitors can see the former court here, or follow the dim stairs to the cell and visit the cell environment. I took a tour map, which marked many places. Now all we see is a ruin. Although a sign was erected in the court, cell and other places, everyone can use their imagination to imagine the original picture at that time.

Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery

Traveling to Australia, this stop came to Hobart, the capital of Tasmania. Walking around the city center, came to this museum, which is opposite the City Hall, near the pier, there is a parking lot at the door, parking is very convenient, but there is a charge. The museum is free to visit. When you enter, there are some open-air art-shaped seats on the right, you can take a break. The front left is the locker area. All guests who come in to visit need to put their belongings in the locker. You need to prepare a 2 yuan Australian dollar coin. Open any empty cabinet, there is a small slot in the cabinet door, you can plug coins, only can put just 2 yuan size coins, and then close the cabinet door and unplug the key. When you need to advance items, plug the key in, twist the door open, The coins will be automatically spit out for you. This museum has several partitions, including the history and culture museum of the aboriginal people, the animal specimen museum, and the exquisite collection museum, art museum, cafe, rest hall and other parts. I only visited the animal specimen museum due to time problems and learned about it in Australia. Even Tasmanian-specific animals, of course, are specimens, such as the now extinct swolves, Tasmanian tigers, Tasmanian devils, various sizes of kangaroos, birds, and so on. The decoration of the zoological specimen museum is very simple, or it is deliberately made into a primitive decoration, it feels like returning to the primitive society. The lighting in the lounge is dim, but there is a kind of English-style decoration. There are always clear instructions along the road. You can look at the signs to find your favorite museum.
