Yulin Acropolis

Yulin Acropolis, the building of Ming and Qing ancient castles. As a major town on the nine sides of the Great Wall of Ming, it bears the function of guarding Beijing. Only the East Wall is well preserved, here we see Beijing rain swallows breeding here, so beautiful!

Important buildings in the ancient city such as the Shanghai Shushu, the Temple of Literature, and the granary are distributed on both sides of the city street, and they are not present. The eastern part of the city is located in the hump mountain beam, with high terrain, and forms the ancient buildings of Dongshan from the south to the north. The houses in the city are distributed on both sides of the city street, there are more than 30 east and west lanes connected to the city street, and some houses are still retained today. The typical houses are imitation Beijing-style courtyard houses, with four types of single courtyards, two courtyards, courtyards, and adjoining houses. These buildings pay attention to symmetrical layout, masonry brick walls, Shi Feidou arch, carved beams and painted buildings, so Yulin Acropolis has the name of "Little Beijing".

Yulin Acropolis, located in Guangyu Road, Yuyang District, Yulin City, Shaanxi Province, was built in the second year of Ming Orthodox (1437).[1] Yulin Acropolis is located in the east of Tuoshan, west of the Weixi River, and north of the Red Rock Gorge. Yulin City is located in the middle of the mountain and half of the river, with low east and west. The bottom width is 15 meters, the top width is 9 meters, and the height is 12 meters. The original south wall is1060.4 meters long, the west wall is2124.5 meters long, the north wall is1168.9 meters long, the east wall is2435.5 meters long, the total length is6789.3 meters, and the existing city wall is5677.8 meters long. There are five gates: Guangqimen, Nanmen Zhenyuanmen, Dongmen Zhenwumen, Xuanweimen (destroyed), and Xinlemen, Xiaoximen.

榆林卫城地处半山半川处，东高西低，平面呈菜刀形，城墙内夯黄土，夯层厚16—20厘米，外墙砌以砖石，上设垛堞。底宽15米，顶宽9米，高12米。原南城墙长1060.4米、西城墙长2124.5米、北城墙长1168.9米、东城墙长2435.5米，总长6789.3米，现存城墙总长5677.8米。城门五座：北门广榆门、南门镇远门、东门振武门、大西门宣威门(已毁)、小西门新乐门(已残)。
