Nice viewpoint
This is great viewpoint looking across to the lower part of the mountain where you can see buildings surrounded by sakura. There's also a mini tea house up here where you can have a cup of tea and enj...
A rain squall on my visit did cut short the amount of time I had to enjoy the Hanayagura without getting wet, but the misty rain shrouds did bring to life many of the tapestry, scroll and sliding door...
It is a standard view spot on Mt. Yoshino. At Yoshimizu Shrine, it feels like looking up at the top of the mountain, but at this observatory, it looks down on the entire Mt. Yoshino. In 2023, the cherry blossoms bloomed earlier than I had imagined, and on April 8, they became leaf cherry blossoms. However, the view from here is still wonderful. Next time I want to visit in full bloom!
It is a famous photo spot overlooking the Zaodo of Kinpuzanji Temple, the upper 1000 cherry blossoms and the middle 1000 cherry blossoms. There is a teahouse in the square where you can eat while looking at the scenery. I climbed by bus to the entrance of Okusenbon, so I went down all the way, but since there is an altitude difference from Nakasenbon, it takes leg strength to come here on foot. I wanted to see the classic scenery of Mt. Yoshino, so it is one of the places I'm glad I came.
