Glass Bridges for BeginnersGetting There - Take a hotel car, or scooter or bike in fine weather. it's too remote to guarantee a return Didi. Attractions - A cable car, 'fixed' rope bridge, a high view point, a partially glassed bridge and a fully glass path hanging off the side of a cliff!! It was a really fun trip, I'm not a lover of heights but I managed...ok so I got halfway along the cliff glass path, had a moment and walked quickly for the next half as close to the cliff edge as possible (the bit there is concrete). We went in December, so off peak, and barely anyone around, but apparently can get super crowded. Check the photo of the map, some parts can be reached without doing the glass walks. And the long glass bridge is only partially glass, mostly, it's metal. So give it all a go as an intro to 'glass walking'! Peak Ruyi Scenic spotI was in awe with the beauty out there! This was a mini ,if not full on hike. We took a cable car 🚠 up the mountain to the walking trail,which took us about 3 hours to walk about. First went through a bridge,all the way up to the highest point of the mountain, down to two glass bridges (had a refreshing stop) and the final bit of walking back to the cable car!! It was good exercise and an exciting experience to see all that’s around us. We started early in the morning,to counter the hot weather and this kind of makes it a bit better! We got the tickets along west street,there was a tourism booth and we got the tickets from there. The ticket included a hotel pick up and we were charged 500 yuan for three people! This time I took two elderly people. The weather was hot and sunny, so we didn't plan to get off the cable car. The cable car was very safe. It was fully enclosed, the glass was clear, and the scenery of the mountains and rivers outside was unobstructed. It was definitely a good place for the inconvenient people with legs and feet. Xianggong Mountain has also been considered, but because of the need to climb the mountain, I chose Ruyi Peak. I didn’t have to take another step to go down the cable car. On the last day of the trip to Guilin, I finally realized the desire to overlook the mountains from a high place. Although I didn’t go down the plank road and climb to the top, It is absolutely worth the sights from the cable car.
Highly recommended to hire a driver to take you around this ‘Avatar-like’ mountainous terrain. Bring water and solar protection along with snacks as it’s a bit far out with limited services.
Ruyi wind cableway is worth playing, you can enjoy the scenery of Yangshuo from the height, and the overall is not too physical. After purchasing the ticket, you can directly swipe your ID card to enter and take the cable car directly, which is very simple. After arriving at the station, walk to the glass plank road.

Yangshuo Ruyi Peak is the best attraction for Guilin trip. The reasons are as follows: 1 The cable car is spacious and has floor-to-ceiling glass, which is very suitable for taking pictures. 2 The railings of the scenic spot are clean and tidy, and almost all lines are well maintained. 3 The landscape of the peak forest with the blue sky and white clouds is simply a fairyland on earth. 4 The toilet is clean (including the mountain). 5 The contrast between the red bridge and the green mountain is very good. 6 The two glass bridges in the forest walkway and the cliff plank road have their own advantages. 7 The staff service is basically very enthusiastic. In summary, Ruyifeng Scenic Area can completely become the number one business card for Guilin tourism, and even to some extent, the playability is more than Xingping Lijiang Tour and Yulong River rafting. You can feel that the scenic spot is built with care. The ability of the management team must be quite good. It is also a mountain landscape. Although the natural scenery has its own characteristics, many planning and supporting details of Ruyi Peak far exceed the Longji Terraces, and even exceed most of the scenic spots.
