It is located next to the campsite of TAIMA, Athletics.

As the title suggests, it is next to the campsite and athletics in Toma, and I stopped by. There are specimens of insects not only in Hokkaido but also domestic and overseas.
An insect museum with butterflies on the front. The number of specimens is amazing. On the other hand, we have also focused on exhibiting various beetles in recent years. Some beetles, including Hercules, can come in direct contact. It's hard to spend a day here alone, so it's a good idea to combine it with a nearby campsite, athletic, hot spring facilities, or Asahiyama Zoo.
Especially the specimen of butterfly 々 is amazing.

It is an insect museum-like facility located on a slightly elevated corner of Toma Sportsland, which extends to the foot of Mt. Toma. Just because it bears the name of Papillon, I was particularly overwhelmed by the large number of specimens in Butterfly 々. In addition, living beetles (beetles and crocodiles) are also reared in the building connected by a separate building, which is especially recommended for insect-loving children. As of May 2017, the admission fee was 500 yen for adults and 300 yen for children.
4 ~ It is an insect museum that is open only for October. It is a cute building with a triangular roof, mainly lined with many butterfly specimens. I have been to several insect museums in various parts of Japan, but this Papillon Chateau has many ecological exhibits, and many types of living beetles and quails are lined up.
